When the 2023 Emmy Award nominations were announced back in July, it was expected that shows like "The Last of Us" and "Succession" would dominate the playing field. What was surprising to many fans, however, was that the Netflix juggernaut "Stranger Things" was shut out of the series and acting categories. Breakout star Joseph Quinn stole the show with his turn as metalhead Eddie Munson, while Sadie Sink's Max Mayfield was at the center of arguably one of the best scenes in the series' entire run. Well, the reason for the so-called snubbing of "Stranger Things" has nothing to do with the quality of work, and everything to do with eligibility rules.
Back in June 2022, the TV Academy finally got rid of the "hangover episode rule," which made it so series that debuted before the May 31 cut-off could include episodes that aired after the eligibility deadline, but before nomination voting,...

“I think it’s finally my year,” are the famous last words of Eddie Munson in “Stranger Things,” but unfortunately actor Joseph Quinn will have to wait a little bit longer.
While, at this point, it feels like the kids of Netflix’s ’80s-set sci-fi series will be grandparents before Season 5, with the WGA strike delaying production and the general speed in which the Duffer brothers have delivered seasons. Nonetheless, elements of last summer’s massively popular Season 4 Vol. 2 double-episodes will be angling for consideration from the Television Academy this year. But Emmy rules means most stars of “Stranger Things” aren’t eligible for this year’s ballots.
In June 2022, the TV Academy eliminated the “hangover episode rule,” which allowed a series that premieres current-season episodes after the May 31 eligibility deadline but before the start of nomination round-voting to submit for Emmy consideration.

Typically at the Emmy Awards, a TV show is judged on a full season as it aired entirely within a single eligibility period. However, in extremely rare cases, a drama or comedy will have what’s known as “orphaned” episodes that air outside of the cut-off date. That’s exactly why Season 4 of The Duffer Brothers‘ sci-fi megahit “Stranger Things” is eligible in two consecutive Emmy cycles, last year and this year. Gold Derby has exclusively learned which 13 categories Netflix is submitting for consideration at the 2023 Emmys (see below).
To recap, the first seven episodes of “Stranger Things 4” streamed on May 27, 2022 and thus competed at last year’s Emmys, where it nabbed 13 nominations and won five. But the last two episodes streamed on July 1, 2022, a full month after the eligibility period ended. TV academy rules stipulate that those two orphaned episodes are now eligible at the 2023 Emmys, but with a catch.

Barbie Ferreira, one of the breakouts from HBO’s Euphoria, and Stranger Things actor Dacre Montgomery are set to star in Faces of Death, a reimagining of the 1978 cult horror movie being made by Legendary.
Isa Mazzei and Daniel Goldhaber, the team behind the 2018 psychological thriller Cam and How to Blow Up a Pipeline, are writing and directing, respectively, the reimagining.
Made just as home video was taking off, Faces had the conceit of a pathologist exploring gruesome ways to die via footage purportedly culled from around the world. In reality, most of the death scenes were staged, but the film had the exact effect its producers desired: outrage, revulsion, banning (although not in 52 countries, as hyped by the film’s makers) and, of course, minting money.

For those that had the chance to see Rian Johnson’s sequel to Knives Out, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, over the Thanksgiving weekend, you were treated to a funny, twisty tale of murder featuring no less than a murderers’ row of talent. For everyone else, Glass Onion is the Netflix event of the holiday season, complete with a star-studded cast that features a returning Daniel Craig as Southern sleuth Benoit Blanc, as well as Edward Norton, Kate Hudson, Janelle Monáe, Dave Bautista, and more. The film is a real actor’s showcase for some of Hollywood’s A-list talent, and holding her own amongst the group is Madelyn Cline as Dave Bautista’s hard-partying influencer girlfriend, Whiskey.
Not quite the household name that the other members of the cast are counted as, Cline delivers what appears to be a star-making performance in a role that showcases her comedic chops.

When "Stranger Things" launched in 2016, most of its cast were virtual unknowns. Aside from veteran stars like Winona Ryder, the show was the first leading role for many of its cast members, especially the younger kids. Part of what made the show work so well was the fact that all those young kids were supremely-talented. The Netflix hit asks a lot from its stars — lots of action, lots of emotion — and every member of the ever-growing ensemble is up to the task, which makes for a fun watch.
It's also a useful launching pad for further stardom. The series tends to take breaks between seasons — three years passed between Seasons 3 and 4 — leaving the cast free to pursue other acting opportunities. This raises their profiles, providing them a solid base from which to hopefully continue their careers after "Stranger Things" comes to an end with its fifth season. Unsurprisingly, a lot...

Millie Bobby Brown isn't the only "Stranger Things" cast member who thinks the show should be more ruthless about killing off characters. In recent weeks, Maya Hawke — who of course, plays Robin Buckley on "Stranger Things" — has ventured out with a role in another Netflix title, "Do Revenge," the promotion of which saw her sitting down with her co-star Camila Mendes ("Riverdale") for a lie detector test via Vanity Fair. The questions veered straight into the Upside Down territory of spoilers, so if you aren't caught up with "Stranger Things" season 4 yet, look away now.
Mendes asked Hawke point-blank if she thought Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn) should have died in season 4, to which Hawke responded, "I don't think he should have died, but I do think the show has too many characters." When asked if she thought anyone else should have died (to help whittle down the show's sprawling cast), Hawke said,...

When it comes to romance, Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder) has lousy luck: her ex-husband only showed up to their son's funeral to collect financial compensation and she had to fight tooth-and-nail to break her not-boyfriend out of a Soviet prison. But it all pales in comparison to what writers originally planned for her in season 2, when her relationship with the ever-wholesome Bob Newby (Sean Astin) was tragically cut short.
It's been a while since season 2 came out, so if your memory is anything like mine, chances are that a few of the finer details are a little fuzzy. But there's one image that's permanently burned into my mind: Bob sacrificing himself to keep Joyce, Jim Hopper (David Harbour), Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard), and Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) safe from an onslaught of demodogs. Little did we know that he would be part of a bigger trend of wholesome fan-favorite characters...

The conclusion to “Stranger Things” Season 4 arrives July 1 in the form of two final episodes, the finale of which has a runtime of over two hours. Combined, the two episodes add up to almost four hours. And while it’s only been a month since Volume 1 came out, you may be in need of a brief recap before diving into the epic conclusion.
The most unforgettable twist in Season 4 so far might be the role of Jamie Campbell Bower’s character in tying everything together, including the long-desired explanation of the mythology behind the Upside Down. The fate of characters like Nancy, who was caught in Vecna’s clutches at the end of Volume I, and Eleven, who went on a mission to regain her telekinetic powers, come next in the threads we expect to be tied at the end of this fourth season. We also can’t forget that...

Warning: contains spoilers for Stranger Things season 4 Vol. I
In Stranger Things season three, the Mind Flayer remote-controlled Billy Hargrove to build a fearsome creature out of dead rats and kidnapped townsfolk. It melted them all down like old wax crayons and stirred them into one big, gloopy monster. Then Joyce and Hopper closed the new gate to the Upside Down and, deprived of the psychic connection to its puppet master in the other realm, the creature died.
In season four, the big bad is Vecna, a telekinetic ex-human in the Upside Down with the power to immobilise victims in our world by projecting hallucinations into their minds before killing them. Vecna clearly isn’t made of melted crayon people, but something his human counterpart says in Season 4 Chapter 7 suggests that he and season three’s gloop monster may share a defining trait, namely: absorbing their victims. Viewers of Netflix's "Stranger Things" went on a bit of an emotional roller coaster when it came to the character Billy Hargrove, played by Dacre Montgomery. The older stepbrother of Max (Sadie Sink) was, to put it lightly, a very bad guy. Despite being nice to look at, he brought nothing but stress to Hawkins, In, when he entered season two. He met his end at the end of season three, though - clueing everyone into the fact that he was possessed by the Mind Flayer, who took him out and gave him a bit of a redemption arc along the way. But this being "Stranger Things" and all, is Billy actually dead?
Montgomery seemingly felt like Billy's story was over when he finished season three, even telling Vulture back in 2019 that he'd "put Billy to bed." However, fans started to think otherwise when the episode titles for season...

We’ve all been there before. You’re just going about your day, planning your next D&d campaign and then you hear it: the tell-tale sound of a deep, hellish chiming. A grandfather clock has appeared from nowhere and with it comes the knowledge that Vecna will arrive from the Upside Down to ensnare your mind, break all your bones, and intern your body in hell forever. Mondays, am I right?
Such is the set of circumstances facing Hawkins, Indiana in Stranger Things season 4. Vecna, the latest ghoulish enemy from the Upside Down, operates without subtlety. A vision of the decrepit grandfather clock that once inhabited Creel House always foretells his arrival…and some poor schmuck’s death. Stranger Things fans online have had some fun with this concept, posting countless videos to social media joking about clocks that only they can see.

“Stranger Things” Season 4 is here, and it’s been quite a long while since the last season came out.
Season 3 debuted in July 2019, and the summer vibes were powerful. In eight episodes, The Party plus Max and Eleven, The Scoops Troop, Nancy and Jonathan and Joyce and Hopper follow separate trails to the same gruesome truth: The Mind Flayer is still creeping around despite Eleven closing the gate at the end of Season 2.
Several threads were introduced in the third season that tie into Season 4, but before you meet the new cast and their characters in the super-sized fourth season, it’s a good time for a refresher.

With Season 4 Volume 1 of “Stranger Things” imminent, many might be scrambling to remember not just what happened last season, but what has happened in all three previous seasons. After the first season launched on Netflix in 2016, Season 2 followed on its heels in 2017. To go with its fall release date, Season 2 begins during Halloween of 1984.
Season 2 introduces us to some new crazy creatures in the Upside Down: Demodogs and the sinister shadowy Mind Flayer. Max Mayfield (Sadie Sink) and Billy Hargrove (Dacre Montgomery) also arrive on the scene. Our original heroes are still going strong.
Here’s what happened in Season 2 of “Stranger Things”:
Will Is Still Having Visions of The Upside Down

Stranger Things season 4 arrives at a particularly fraught time for Netflix.
Perhaps you’d heard, but the premier streaming service’s most recent earnings announcement didn’t go so well. A less-fruitful quarter than anticipated made the corporation’s stock price tumble, led to a round of unfortunate layoffs, and sent rival entertainment entities into fits of pure, unbridled schadenfreude. After more than a decade at the top, it seemed as though the Blockbuster killer’s opulent spending habits had finally caught up with it – creating a bloated library filled with vaporware that just might not be able to compete with the Disneys and Amazons of the world long-term.

It’s been three whole years since “Stranger Things 3” premiered on Netflix, the third installation in the Duffer brothers’ sci-fi drama laced with ‘80s nostalgia. The series returns to Netflix on May 27, with a new season set six months after the events of “Stranger Things 3.” Since it’s been a lot longer than that for those outside Hawkins, here’s a little refresher on what’s going on with the Upside Down, the Mind Flayer, and that girl with superpowers.
1. What’s Going on with The Upside Down?
Once described as “home, but it’s so dark,” the nefarious parallel dimension that haunts Hawkins is still at large and seeping into our world. When the Mind Flayer took hold of Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) in Season 2, it was eventually banished from Will’s body, while Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) used all her strength to close the gate between worlds.

It is indeed time for more Stranger Things. Netflix’s retro sci-fi horror hit hasn’t produced new episodes since season 3 signed off on July 4, 2019.
Now the show is finally set to return on May 27, 2022, and based on this action-packed new trailer from Netflix, it has spent those three years hard at work at making the grandest season yet. Let’s break down everything we learned about Stranger Things season 4 based on that three-minute epic!

Marvel Studios has finally officially announced that a new Fantastic Four movie is on its way. Kevin Feige confirmed way back in summer 2019 that he would be spearheading a reboot of the First Family eventually, following Marvel getting the rights from Fox, but it took until December 2020 for the project to be publicly revealed. So far, we only know that Spider-Man‘s Jon Watts is directing it, but you can be sure that the studio is busy bringing the cast together behind the scenes.
There’s much speculation about who could be playing Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Woman, of course, with John Krasinski and Emily Blunt being the stars most commonly linked to those roles. It remains to be seen whether the real-life couple will get the gigs, but a new report points to Marvel locking down another one of the Four instead.

If Sony Pictures’ rom-com The Broken Hearts Gallery, now screening in cinemas, had been made five years ago, Geraldine Viswanathan doubts that a woman of colour like her would have been cast as the lead.
The Newcastle-raised 25-year-old, whose father is an Indian-born doctor and mother is Swiss, plays Lucy, a New York art gallery assistant who clings to souvenirs from numerous failed relationships.
Nursing another broken heart, Lucy befriends Nick (fellow Aussie Dacre Montgomery), an emotionally-closed guy who is trying to raise the money to renovate his dream hotel. Lucy sets out to build the gallery of the title in his lobby as her relationship with Nick changes.
“If this movie was made even five years ago I don’t know if I would be in the lead,” Viswanathan said in an Australians in Film webinar with Montgomery, moderated by Jenny Cooney.

Tour our photo gallery above to see all of the actors who’ve been submitted for the 2020 Emmy Awards.
Season 3 takes place in the summer of 1985 and centers around an exciting new set piece: the Starcourt Mall. As Eleven (Brown) and Mike (Finn Wolfhard) grow closer together, infuriating Chief Hopper (Harbour), Joyce’s (Ryder) talks about moving out of Hawkins are interrupted when the kids...

Dacre Montgomery has played Billy Hargrove on two seasons of Netflix’s “Stranger Things.” The actor was nominated alongside the rest of the show’s cast at the Screen Actors Guild Awards these past two years.
Montgomery recently spoke with Gold Derby contributing writer Kevin Jacobsen about how much he knew of where his arc would go in Season 3, what makes the Duffer Brothers such amazing collaborators and what he’s hoping to do next in his career. Watch the exclusive video interview above and read the complete transcript below.

Digital artist Bobby_Art recently took to Instagram to show us what Stranger Things star Dacre Montgomery could look like as the Human Torch. It’s a simple image of the actor dawning the suit with his arms beginning to turn to fire, but it’s certainly effective.
Of course, with Disney acquiring Fox last year, Marvel can now incorporate the Fantastic Four into the McU and reports have been swirling for some time now that John Krasinski and Emily Blunt are the frontrunners to play Reed Richards Aka Mr. Fantastic and Susan Storm Aka the Invisible Woman. As for the other two members of the team, it’s anyone’s guess as to who will snag those roles, but Montgomery certainly showcased his cockiness on Stranger Things playing Billy Hargrove and he does have some experience in the action genre having been in the Power Rangers reboot from 2017. Few characters in the history of film have been so thoroughly embodied by a single actor. Superman has been played by four men and Batman has been played by nine (and soon to be ten) actors. Outside of comics, James Bond has been played by six (and soon to be seven) individuals and Sherlock Holmes has been played by nine different people. But from 2000 to 2017, only one man has portrayed the Marvel Comics character of James Howlett, the enigmatic mutant known as the Wolverine, across seven films and a cameo. Yes, 51-year-old Australian performer Hugh Jackman became synonymous with the adamantium-clawed Canadian, completing his own trilogy within the larger, at times uneven, 20th Century Fox X-Verse.

If there was one thing 2019 taught us, it’s that “shocking” is a truly relative term — and we’re not even talking about real-life instances here. Yes, it’s pretty hard to blow anyone’s mind these days, including that of TV viewers, making truly gasp-worthy small-screen character deaths few and far between. But that didn’t stop several showrunners from doing their worst — er, best, to totally kill you with these on-screen passings. Click through TheWrap’s gallery to see the 44 most shocking TV character deaths of 2019. Obviously, spoilers ahead. And yes, most of these are “Game of Thrones” characters.

There is still relatively little way to know just how many people watch any given show on Netflix.
But while those numbers aren't as transparent as we might like them to be, when a show oozes into popular culture the way Stranger Things does, we can guess it's right up there with viewership.
So it's no surprise that Netflix announced Stranger Things Season 4 is coming our way.
In addition to the fourth-season pickup, brother Matt and Ross Duffer inked a multi-year film and television deal that could be worth nine figures.
That certainly shows some faith in the Duffer Brothers and Stranger Things!
Stranger Things Season 3 Review: Bigger, Better, and More Heartbreaking Than Ever
If you're wondering how the figures work, Netflix releases what they want you to know.
In July, they announced that over 40 million household accounts had watched at least a portion of Stranger Things Season 3 since it's release.

Fans in Hall H were treated to the first look at the highly anticipated new series The Witcher at San Diego Comic-Con 2019 on Friday, July 19 when star Henry Cavill previewed the teaser trailer for the room.
Yvette Nicole Brown moderated the panel discussion with showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich and cast members Cavill (Geralt of Rivia), Anya Chalotra (Yennefer) and Freya Allan (Ciri).
Based on the best-selling fantasy series of books by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski, The Witcher is an epic tale of fate and family centering around famed monster hunter, Geralt of Rivia.

Geralt is a monster hunter struggling to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts.

With a title like "Stiff Competition," it was obvious that Charles and Liza would be squaring off against each other on Younger Season 6 Episode 5.
Sure, the "stiff competition" actually referred to Charles' penis, but it more than applies to the current dynamic between Charles and Liza when it comes to Millennial and Mercury.
There was a possibility that Charles and Liza could keep this competition friendly and lighthearted, but that all went out the door the moment Charles began pulling almost every author right from under Millennial and showing absolutely no remorse.
Competition can keep you on your toes, but it can also destroy your relationship.
As Diana and Kelsey put it: Liza is sleeping with the enemy, and it was bound to become problematic.
Being caught in the middle is nothing new for Liza; it's a formula we've seen Younger implement since the first season.

For a while there, it looked like Red Hood was coming to the Dceu fairly soon as Jason Todd’s death at the hands of the Joker was referenced in both Batman V Superman and Suicide Squad. However, now that the franchise is going in a different direction with the Bat-mythos – Robert Pattinson’s Dark Knight will be much younger and less-experienced than Ben Affleck’s – it doesn’t look like the former sidekick-turned-anti-hero is on the table at the moment.
But there’s no harm in still dreaming, right? As fans want to see Red Hood in the Dceu so badly, it seems the internet has chosen one candidate to play him above all others: Stranger Things star Dacre Montgomery. If you’re struggling to see Billy Hargrove in the part, then maybe this awesome piece of fan art will help you out.

Spoilers for Stranger Things season three ahead, Fyi!
Both seasons of Stranger Things thus far have roughly followed the same formula: government conspiracy + creepy monsters + resourceful kids armed with slingshots, hormones, and telekinesis = binge-able Netflix gold. While season three is much of the same, the show's creators, Matt and Ross Duffer, have also introduced a far gorier, complex mystery than usual, which all begins with one key question - what the hell is wrong with Billy Hargrove?
As a reminder, Billy is introduced in season two as the metal-loving, mullet-rocking, physically and verbally abusive older brother of Max (Sadie Sink), who is forced to move to Hawkins so her family can have a fresh start from their lives in California. He's a bully through and through and doesn't inspire much sympathy. At the end of the second season, we discover that he's learned his behavior from his father, who's just...

With Hugh Jackman having snikt-ed his adamantium claws for the final time, Marvel Studios will soon have to find a new actor to play the Wolverine when they undoubtedly reboot him within the McU now that they have the rights to the X-Men. The internet has thrown a range of possible candidates into the hat, naming everyone from Keanu Reeves to Daniel Radcliffe as would-be Logans. But now, we’ve got another to add to the list: Stranger Things star Dacre Montgomery.
In the wake of season 3 of the hit show, digital artist Boss Logic has created this new piece of fan art that casts Montgomery as Wolverine. The artist has gone for a Logan-esque monochrome look, giving the star a slightly wolfish hair style with a cigar in one hand and his claws in the other. Billy Hargrove made a splash on Stranger Things Season 2 as the resident bad boy, but it wasn't until the third season where he became fully integrated and essential to the core storyline.
Billy rose from being a supporting character to carrying much of the series, yet he never got the recognition he deserved.
There have been a handful of characters who deserve justice in the Stranger Things realm from Barb to Bob to Alexei. Trust me, they all deserve it, but Billy's storyline especially triggered me because he got cheated from the very beginning.

He was never set up to win, and when he finally did achieve his redemption arc, it was glossed over because of a bigger death, albeit one that admittedly carried more weight.

[Editor’s Note: The following contains spoilers for “Stranger Things” Season 3, including the finale.]
Billy Hargrove died as he lived: loud and defiant. The former high school bully had won plenty of enemies when he had joined “Stranger Things” last season, but after getting possessed by the Mind Flayer this year, Billy finds the strength to fight back to save others. Unfortunately, it’s at the cost of his own life.
Despite closing that chapter on his brief “Stranger Things” career, Dacre Montgomery is thrilled with where Billy was able to go this season. He actually had no clue that co-creators Matt and Ross Duffer had wanted to beef up his role significantly from annoying jerk to the creepy main antagonist. Well, the human vessel of the other-worldly monster antagonist.
“There’s a table read, but only for Episodes 1 and 2. The deal is they haven’t really written them [all upfront], so when you’re doing Episodes 1 and 2, they’re...

Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you have not watched Season 3 of “Stranger Things,” streaming now on Netflix.
“Stranger Things” has introduced some very memorable monsters in its first two seasons, but Season 3 just might top them all.
Last chance to avoid spoilers.
In the third season of the megahit Netflix series, the dreaded Mind Flayer is back but in a new form. The kids deduce that after they drove the Mind Flayer out of Will’s (Noah Schnapp) body in Season 2, a part of the creature was left trapped in the human world when Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) closed the gateway to the Upside Down. That part of the creature slowly gained strength in the shadows and assembled a physical body, starting by infecting every rat in Hawkins — forcing the rats to ingest household chemicals before they are drawn to an old steel works, where they subsequently burst into...

Chicago – Season Three of “Stranger Things,” one of the hottest TV series in the last couple of years, is launching on Netflix on July 4th, 2019. The series is going back to the world of Indiana and the “Upside Down,” and joining the cast – which includes Dacre Montgomery as Billy Hargrove – is veteran actor Cary Elwes.
Set in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, in the 1980s, the series – created by twin brothers Matt and Ross Duffer – first focused (Season One) on the investigation into the 1983 disappearance of a young boy named Jonathan (Charlie Heaton) amid supernatural events occurring around the town, including the appearance of a girl (Millie Bobby Brown) with psychokinetic abilities who helps the missing boy’s friends in their own search.

Stranger Things Season 3 ends on both a dour and hopeful note. Here is what you need to know about Stranger Things Season 3's ending.
The following contains spoilers for Stranger Things Season 3.
If nothing else, you can always say this for Stranger Things: it knows how to end a story.
Stranger Things is well and truly of the “TV show as a movie” archetype and as such; its endings always take on an added level of importance. The final episode is invariably the best installment of each season’s run.
The ending in Stranger Things Season 3 is no different. The final episode, “The Battle of Starcourt” reaps what the careful seeding of previous episodes sews. Viewers finally get to see the final battle between the forces of Hawkins and the forces of The Upside Down, led by the Mind Flayer. Characters make difficult choice and not...

“Stranger Things” fans are already preparing to return to the Upside Down when the third season of the Duffer Brothers-created Netflix series launches Thursday. But Dacre Montgomery told TheWrap you should actually be ready for things to go more “sideways” for his character Billy Hargrove than completely upside down. At least at first.
Billy, the older step brother of Max Mayfield (played by Sadie Sink), starts off “Stranger Things 3” as a life guard at the community pool, which sounds sunny and fun, but Montgomery says things takes a dark turn — fast.
“I think it’s good, because it becomes so much more sinister after that and I think it’s a really nice distraction for the first episode,” he told TheWrap, in the interview above, noting things go “sideways so quickly” after that.

I've long wondered how the Duffer brothers were going to revamp the story for Stranger Things season three. The past two seasons have roughly followed the same formula, after all: a group of lovable, quirky kids battle against a sci-fi monster with the help of their telekinetic pal, without the rest of the town ever being the wiser. But a repeat of the same recycled story - Will succumbing to the Upside Down's power in some way, Eleven saving the day - would've been a little too familiar third time around, no?
Fortunately, judging by the two season three trailers that have been released, an old monster threatening Hawkins still manages to promise some fresh excitement for the Netflix hit. Why? Because that monster might actually be Billy Hargrove (Dacre Montgomery).

We take you behind the scenes of Stranger Things Season 3 to explore Starcourt Mall and the ever-changing Hawkins, Indiana.
The following contains no major Stranger Things Season 3 spoilers but those who want to go in completely clean should probably skip.
The Gwinnett Place Mall in Duluth, Georgia first opened its doors in early 1984. Like most brick and mortar shopping establishments, it’s now all but a ghost town. But over its nearly 35 years of life, the mall has welcomed in some mighty guests - Macy’s, JCPenney, Sears, and more. Now, on a balmy fall day in 2018, it’s playing host to a new tenant who has restored Gwinnett Place to its former glory.
On the mall’s second floor, a theater marquee proudly announces that Back to the Future is playing. Across the hall, there’s a Claire’s sign above one storefront, and a tan Waldenbooks above another.

Many “Stranger Things” fans were disappointed by the introduction of Dacre Montgomery’s Billy Hargrove in Season 2 of Netflix’s blockbuster series. Despite being advertised as one of the franchise’s major new additions, Billy proved to be an underdeveloped character (he’s a punk with daddy issues) without much importance for the season’s main storyline. The Duffer Brothers will not be making the same mistake again in the show’s third season, which is now confirmed to feature Montgomery’s character as the chief human villain.
Collider posted a set visit report from “Stranger Things 3” and confirmed Montgomery’s Billy will be one of the new season’s main villains.
“I think the sound bite that I would give you is, you can expect a hell of a lot more of Billy this season,” Montgomery said. “He’s like pure evil this season, but the supernatural element that...

The first two seasons of Netflix’s hit streaming series Strangers Things took place in the bitter autumn of Hawkins, Indiana. As such, we’ve already seen Mike, Nancy and all of their friends tackle costume parties, trick-or-treating and their school’s annual Snow Ball dance, so it only seems appropriate that the third season would heat things up by following our heroes into the summer of ‘85
For a show depicting otherworldly monsters, mutated teenagers and secret government agencies, Strangers Things is wickedly funny, and the first full clip from the new season leans hard into the laughs.
