Recently at the annual Monsterpalooza horror convention in Pasadena, Clive Barker had such sights to show attendees with a new makeup design for Pinhead that he co-created with artists Cris Alex and Stephen Imhoff Jr., and while a time lapse video and photos have already been unveiled, Barker has now revealed an additional photo of his new take on the Cenobite leader from his Hellraiser franchise.
Shared on Clive Barker's Instagram page, the new photo (courtesy of Monster Maker by Night) can be viewed below, along with the previous photos and time lapse video. The nightmare-inducing Hell Priest makeup came to life at the Ppi Premier Products and Skin Illustrator booth, with contacts provided by Eye Ink FX.

If there's one thing that we truly miss in our genre, it's having the great Clive Barker making movies. Sure there have been a few decent adaptations of his work, but there's nothing like having the man himself being the one calling the shots and creating such sights to show us.
Over on his official Twitter account Barker teased the following:
Christopher Carrion comes to life, in a filmed trailer for Abarat III. The director of the three minute taste of the "Abarat" is my great friend Mark Miller. Special effects by Brandon Mahlberg. Make-up and effects by the talented Stephen Imhoff, and Chris Alex, who will be working on my next movie.
Now you can read that any way that you like for now. Our best guess? He's talking about Resurrection Man, which we told you about a few months ago. We'll try and get to the bottom of things for you.

You can read into this any way you like, but did Clive Barker just tease his return to directing? On his official Twitter account, the legendary horror artists/author/director made some statements about the forthcoming "Arabat" adaptation. "Christopher Carrion comes to life, in a filmed trailer for Abarat III," he explains adding that "the director of the three minute taste of the "Abarat" is my great friend Mark Miller. Special effects by Brandon Mahlberg. Make-up and effects by the talented Stephen Imhoff, and Chris Alex., who will be working on my next movie." I wonder what his "next movie" will be? Maybe the long-gestured Tortured Souls: Animae Damnatae? The last time Barker took the helm was the completely underrated Lord of Illusions back in 1994. Barker is known as the creator of Hellraiser and the keeper of the domain, "Pinhead".

Is Clive Barker flirting with the idea of getting back in the director's chair again? Appears so. The author/artist fired off a series of updates via his Twitter account last night: "Tomorrow Christopher Carrion comes to life, in a filmed trailer for Abarat III. The director of the three minute taste of the Abarat is my great friend Mark Miller. Make up and effects by the talented Stephen Imhoff, and Chris Alex, who will be working on my next movie. Special effects by Brandon Mahlberg. This has been a long time in the making." That's good news for fans of the "Abarat" series, and even better news for those who had their fingers crossed that he would direct again. The key words here: "Stephen Imhoff, and Chris Alex, who will be working on my next...
