The Great British Bake Off is as synonymous with the UK as a nice cup of tea and Big Ben, but can the format be translated around the world?
The answer is... yes! Bake Off has been broadcast in 196 territories and its format has been sold to 20 nations, with varying degrees of success. So what do Mel and Sue, Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry look like in the USA, Ukraine and elsewhere?
1. Bake Off Brazil - Hands-on
Very similar to the UK version, but if you're expecting a dose of samba music you'll be disappointed, as the exact same UK soundtrack appears to have returned. Ticiana Villas Boas hosts the oddly named show, flanked by entrepreneur Fabrizio Fasano Jr (a brilliant Hollywood replacement) and baker Carolina Fiorentino (a much younger Mary Berry, don't tell her we said that).

Kerry Vincent has a wonderful can-do spirit borne from her childhood in the wilds of Australia. When people are that self-reliant, little fazes them, and that's the perfect attitude for righting failing businesses.
Vincent is the fixer on Food Network's "Save My Bakery," airing Wednesdays. She knows how wonderful a neighborhood bakery should be.
"For me, when you walk into a bakery, any bakery, there becomes a sense of atmosphere," she tells Zap2it.
It goes beyond picking up a dozen rolls and a pie "but having an experience," she says.
A thriving bakery needs to stay true to its roots while offering a new experience, she says.
"Everything is over the top, and people want instant gratification," Vincent says. "The mums of the world are happy to keep going there to get a loaf of bread and a couple of Danish and go home.

Losing at penalty shoot-outs. Bad teeth. Queuing. Making terrible sitcoms. There is a long list of things that British people do better than anybody else in the world. And The Great British Bake Off, a show so quaint and stereotypically British you half expect the Queen to swan past walking her corgis at any moment, automatically felt like it was another notch on the Team Gb scoresheet.
However, it turns out that some of our foreign chums are just as keen on pies, tarts, pastries, cakes and puddings. Bake Off is sweeping around the globe, delivering sweet treats one country at a time. Here are just five examples of Bake Off around the world.
1. The Great Australian Bake Off
Two great early signs for the Aussie bake-off. Rotund host Shane Jacobson looks like he knows his way around a sponge. And sour-faced judge Kerry Vincent looks deliciously vicious. She'd eat Mary Berry for breakfast.
