This article contains Star Trek: Strange New Worlds spoilers.
Although Strange New Worlds doesn’t require a casual viewer to know anything about Star Trek, it certainly doesn’t hurt. Especially with the latest episode, the utterly hilarious episode, “Spock Amok.” Right away, even in the title, the episode is referencing the famous Original Series banger, “Amok Time.” You don’t need to have seen “Amok Time” to dig this episode, and frankly, the references to that classic episode are just the tip of the Vulcan Lirpa. TeenNick's new TV series, Life with Boys, is set to premiere with a pair of episodes next Wednesday, February 6th. The cable channel has ordered 22 episodes for season one.
Here's the brief and to-the-point press release:
Series Premiere of "Life with Boys" on TeenNick!
Double episode premieres Every Wednesday at 8p et starting 2/6
Tess (Torri Webster) is a typical teenage girl, but she's completely outnumbered. She lives with her dad, older brother, twin brother, younger brother, and dog -- and even the dog is male.
As Tess navigates the confusing (and oh-so-embarrassing) world of high school, she relies on two things: her sense of humor and her girly-girl best friend Allie (Madison Pettis), who provides endless support and advice.

Exclusive: Nickelodeon has acquired global broadcast rights to Canadian sitcom Life With Boys, created by Michael Poryes (Hannah Montana). Under the deal with Classic Media and the series producer, Corus Entertainment’s Nelvana, Nickelodeon will get exclusive TV rights in the U.S. and pay TV rights for its regional channels across Europe including Germany, Benelux, the Nordics as well as Latin America and Asia. The move follows the launch of Life With Boys on Nickelodeon’s UK channel in November under a previous deal with Helion Pictures. “Life With Boys is a perfect addition to our programming lineup,” said Nickelodeon’s Svp programming and acquisition Jules Borken. The 22-episode Life With Boys, which premiered on Canada’s Ytv in September, stars Torri Webster as 14-year-old Tess Foster, who navigates her way through the turmoil of teen life while living at home with her single, overprotective dad and three brothers.
