The three-time Emmy award-winning composer is also behind the music

2012 will be the first year that GeekTrant will invade WonderCon, mostly due to the fact that it was moved down to Anaheim, CA this year which is right in our backyard. We're all pretty excited about attending this year, as we've heard it's a much smaller more intimate version of San Diego Comic Con.
WonderCon is set to open on Friday, March 16th and run through Sunday, March 18th at the Anaheim Convention Center. If you plan on attending let us know, and maybe we can meet up and hang out for a bit!
I've put stars next to the panels we are interested in attending. Check out the schedule, and let us know what you are looking forward to seeing most!
Friday March 16th
12:30-1:30 Idw Presents: The Idw Panel!— Chief creative officer Chris Ryall and sergeant of marketing Dirk Wood, give out prizes, make announcements, and evade questions!

Jeremy Zuckerman and Benjamin Wynn were approached by Avatar series creators and friends, Michael Dante Dimartino and Bryan Konietzko, to create the wonderful scores for the Nickelodeon series. The two agreed that the first Avatar series was the most challenging project of their careers. “We were pretty fresh on that first project,” said Jeremy, “I mean we had done commercials and things but we hadn't done anything of that scope. So we were learning episode by episode; scene by scene. We didn't even know when we first started who would do what. We just knew that we were going to be a team... ” Eventually, the two started up their company The Track Team. Benjamin said, "We were each working at commercial music houses, working on commercials and working on very short, small-time frame projects. We would work together a lot and then once we got the opportunity to score Avatar...

Finding the soundtrack to your favorite summer movie on iTunes is never too difficult -- few will deny Hans Zimmer his right to resell you the Gladiator soundtrack under a new Pirates of the Caribbean title -- but rarely do we get some of the smaller, genre films or TV shows that have as much sweat and blood in them as their bigger budget contemporaries. Well, today we can rejoice for some justice in the cinematic music world!
At last year's San Diego Comic-Con, I was honored to attend a panel with some of the biggest names in film and TV music: John Ottman (Superman Returns, X2), Nathan Barr (Grindhouse, True Blood), Michael Giacchino (Star Trek, Lost), Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman (Heroes), to name a few. Also on hand was Jeremy Zuckerman, composer for the popular, insanely good Nickelodeon show Avatar: The Last Airbender. During the panel, the composers...
