- Betsy has been acting on the stage for most of her life, all through high school and college, followed by 30 years in New Jerssey community theatre, until she finally made her debut in professional theatre at age 55. After taking early retirement from her job in University administration, she enjoyed some years of fairly constant performance on various professional stages in North Carolina, with leading roles in such plays as Driving Miss Daisy, On Golden Pond, Steel Magnolias, Three Tall Women, and Last Night of Ballyhoo. Growing up in a small Georgia town, and then living in Massachusetts and New Jersey for 20 years before moving to North Carolina, she has a rather distinctive accent (mostly Southern but she can vary it a good bit!), and she's very interested in voiceover work. Betsy has enjoyed working in numerous films produced as MFA theses by students at UNCG and at the NC School of the Arts. and most recently, in Careful What You Wish For.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Betsy Brown
- Betsy's first public performance was at age 4, singing "God Bless America" at the junior-senior banquet of the high school where her mother taught.
- The very first song Betsy ever learned, at age 2-3, was "Loch Lomond", and when she grew up and traveled to Scotland, she fell in love with the Isle of Skye, which turned out to have been the home of her great-grandparents.
