“We had a 13-year run of a robust market and are experiencing a necessary cycle change,” says Rayni Williams of The Beverly Hills Estates, reflecting on the 36 percent drop in luxury home sales that hit L.A. in the second quarter. Meanwhile, the median price of a home in Los Angeles hovered at $963,000, down 1 percent from the previous year. The decline can be attributed to a combination of high interest rates, the dual strikes that hit Hollywood and the new Ula mansion tax, in which home sellers in the city of Los Angeles must pay at least a 4 percent transfer on any sales above $5 million. “Sellers are hesitant to sell given these barriers,” says Akg’s Aaron Kirman.
Despite the challenges, L.A.’s agents (chosen based on total sales volume, Hollywood clients and media visibility) continued to smash records, led by the most expensive sale in California history — Beyoncé and...

“Vanderpump Rules” star Rachel “Raquel” Leviss is not part of the BravoCon 2023 lineup that was revealed Friday morning. The former pageant queen and Scandoval participant has not been filming the Bravo reality show — currently in production for eleventh season — and appeared this week on Bethenny Frankel’s podcast to speak out against the network.
Among her claims, Leviss says she has not “seen a penny” after the highly-rated tenth season that focused on her secret relationship with costar Tom Sandoval, who was in a long-term relationship with Ariana Madix. On Friday, Leviss announced she has no plans to return to reality TV and has a “no contact” policy with her former castmates.
Frankel is also not part of the BravoCon lineup, which moves from New York to Las Vegas this year.

Million Dollar Listing stars are heading south! Fredrik Eklund recently announced he moved his family to Miami and now Josh Flagg just purchased a $4.25 million dollar Miami mansion.
Flagg has no plans to completely relocate to South Florida and shared on Instagram “No. Not moving to Florida. Yes. Will spend a little time there.”
Eklund, however, has different plans. In early July he announced that his Beverly Hills home was up for rent and his business was expanding into the South Florida market.
“I’ve built a strong team here and we continue to set records,” he captioned an Instagram photo of his Beverly Hills home. “However, my business is expanding quickly in Miami and the twins got into one of the best schools there for the Fall. Derek got a super cool art studio in the Miami Design District too. We’re so excited for this new chapter. I...

Mega-selling The Altman Brothers team, known for starring on Bravo’s Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles, has just signed a new, multiyear deal to remain at their brokerage of Douglas Elliman Realty.
Co-founded by brothers Josh and Matt Altman and led by CEO Heather Altman (who is also Josh’s wife), The Altman Brothers transacted more than $2.5 billion in deals in the past 24 months. “That equates to about $4 million a day in sales every day of the year,” says Josh Altman in an exclusive interview with The Hollywood Reporter. “We did almost $1.2 billion in 2022 and $1.5 billion in 2021.” (Overall, across the country, Douglas Elliman had $42.9 billion in gross transactions in 2022 and $51.2 billion the prior year.)

Josh Flagg from Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles got a little shady on Watch What Happens Live when he claimed to not know that Mauricio Umansky had a show.
A virtual Wwhl fan asked Flagg and co-guest Tracy Tutor if they considered Umansky to be their biggest real estate competitor and their thoughts on his Netflix show Buying Beverly Hills. “I didn’t know he had a show,” Flagg said looking perplexed.
Tracy Tutor from ‘Million Dollar Listing’ counters Josh Flagg’s comment
Meanwhile, Tutor had nothing but love for Buying Beverly Hills. “I think it’s adorable. I love watching Farrah,” she said.
She added, “I think she’s just a little boss. I think the family dynamic is super sweet with them and I celebrate them. So congratulations.”

Perhaps Flagg’s shade came from being outranked by Altman.

It doesn’t take an appraiser to know there remains big market value in Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles. After all, the Bravo hit following heavy hitters in the world of real estate is entering its 14th season. This year the focus turns solely on the lives of Tracy Tutor, Josh Altman, and Josh Flagg. This comes after Fredrik Eklund, James Harris, and David Parnes stepped away from the series. Viewers will see how the three manage friendship while navigating through the shark-infested waters of business under the same agency after Flagg also joined Douglas Elliman. And judging by the teaser, sales records may not be the only thing broken. Here Tutor sells TV Insider on what’s to come on Mdlla ahead of the premiere. With the exit of Fredrik, James, and David, how would you describe the dynamic this season? Tracy Tutor: I have a great relationship with James and David.

Even amid rising interest rates, Hollywood’s real estate up-and-comers agree that business is good. Five emerging agents on the scene — Kati Cattaneo, Jacob Greene, Marco Salari, Kevin Stewart and Caroline Wolf — notice that although inventory may be lacking, demand for well-made homes in Los Angeles is unwavering.
“Los Angeles will always be one of the best and most desirable places to live in the world,” says Coldwell Banker’s Salari, 26. “Even with the interest rates and threat of recession, this market is strong with many buyers needing homes.”
This year, Salari closed on a deal for a Santa Monica property that got 22 offers, all over asking. His clients were the prevailing buyers, which Salari calls a “hard-fought win.” Salari, a former Italian basketball player, also struck deals with Favorite Daughter co-founder Erin Foster and actress-screenwriter couple Katey Sagal and Kurt Sutter. BravoCon is back.
The fan experience, taking place Oct. 14-16 at the Javits Center in New York City, is returning for the first time since its inaugural edition in 2019.
With over 140 “Bravolebrities” set to participate in over 60 live events, BravoCon will shine a spotlight on the network’s top series. The casts from multiple cities in “The Real Housewives” franchise will turn out en masse — with a notable absence of Lisa Rinna from the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” panel. Rinna, who’s had a difficult time on the current 12th season of “Beverly Hills” — both on screen, as she’s mourned the death of her mother, and on social media as the season has aired — participated in BravoCon in 2019, but as of yet won’t return this year. Nor will “Beverly Hills” cast member Diana Jenkins be on the panel, which includes Garcelle Beauvais, Erika Jayne, Dorit Kemsley, Crystal Minkoff,...

“Million Dollar Listing New York” — a key installment in Bravo’s long-running real estate franchise — won’t be returning anytime soon, sources tell Variety. Bravo never uses the word “canceled,” instead considering series to be “paused,” since it sometimes brings shows back years later, as was the case with the revived “Real Housewives of Miami” on Peacock last year.
In the case of “Million Dollar Listing New York,” the network had no comment, but the current incarnation of the show is over.
The series is a spinoff of “Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles,” which premiered on Bravo in 2006. The “New York” version made its debut in 2012 and ran for nine seasons. Its most recent season — and last for now — followed the show’s brokers, including original cast members Ryan Serhant and Fredrik Eklund, as they waded through the tribulations of pre-and-mid-pandemic real estate in New York City. During the NFL off-season, several members of the Super Bowl-winning Los Angeles Rams have been on a veritable real estate blitz. Not only did Cooper Kupp and Aaron Donald both toss their swank homes onto the market over the last couple months, but Matthew Stafford — who bought a $19.6 million mansion just last year — also dropped millions on two more houses owned by Drake.
Now head coach Sean McVay is taking a page out of their playbook, having picked up a brand-new modern farmhouse spread in the ritzy Hidden Hills gated community. Originally listed for $15.5 million, records show the place went to the 36-year-old Ohio native for a discounted $14 million.

“Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles” may not have as much interpersonal melodrama as Netflix competitor “Selling Sunset,” but the Bravo series about high-priced real estate and the high-energy personalities who sell it is not lacking for theatrics.
Josh Altman, one of the five “Million Dollar Listing L.A.” stars, told TheWrap that his show’s success actually regenerates its own drama. This cyclical effect is somewhat unique to Altman’s industry, and it probably helps explain how this “Million Dollar Listing” installment is entering its 12th season.

It's safe to say season 12 of Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles is going to be iconic. For starters, rival real estate agents Josh Flagg and Josh Altman will share a listing—an experience the latter told E! that produced "probably the two best episodes in the history of Million Dollar Listing." Altman didn't go into detail, but he did talk a little bit about what it was like to work alongside Flagg. Exclusive: CBS has put in development dramas Near Death, from writer Chase creator Jennifer Johnson, and St. Bernie’s, from Instinct creator Michael Rauch. Both hail from producer Glenn Geller and CBS Television Studios.
Written by Johnson, in Near Death, following a horrible accident, a young woman’s near-death experience leads to inexplicable visions that prove surprisingly useful in helping her detective father solve crimes, and may also reveal dark secrets that threaten to permanently fracture their family.
Johnson executive produces with Geller and DeVon Franklin (Breakthrough).
Written by Rauch, St. Bernies revolves around an idealistic but immature doctor, who, when a small town’s hospital is forced to close, leads a determined group of locals who co-opt a diner-turned-veterinarian clinic into a medical practice to deliver much-needed care to their community.

The agents of Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles are tough. They wheel and deal with the best of them, making very lucrative deals almost daily, so it takes a lot to get one of them to break and cry. But it happens to the best of them, even Josh Altman as you can see in the preview below. What gets Altman? It's nothing to do with his wife or kid, but rather…football. Yep, football. Altman is a devoted New England Patriots fan, so when he begins working with former New York Giants player Antonio Pierce his resolve is tested. It's no secret that the brokers on Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles and New York deal with some fabulous mansions, and who else can afford a million dollar mansion other than the stars? With their insane credentials and insane-er pricepoints, the real estate agents of Million Dollar Listing get to deal with celebrities all the time. And yes, that's on and off-screen. So what's it like trying to sell a multi-million dollar estate to an Oscar winner or for a reality TV star? According to Los Angeles' Josh Altman, you need to be careful with celebrities and always on top of your game. "They're very good at what they do, and they expect you to be very good at what you do." Still, he insists he treats all of his clients the same. "I don't care if they're a mega-celebrity, I don't care if they're a mega-businessman." At the same time,...

OxyContin is at the center of America's opioid crisis -- ODs have spiked 30% between 2016 and 2017. More than 300,000 Americans have died from opioid addiction. That said, OxyContin business is clearly booming, because the heir to the OxyContin fortune just paid $22,500,000 Cash for a Bel-Air mansion. David Sackler, whose dad and uncles owned Purdue Pharma, which produces OxyContin, just closed escrow on the 4-acre property. It's an '80s masterpiece, with a long, private driveway that leads up to a 10,000-square-foot mansion.
