The officially authorized Bruce Lee biopic has found a director, with Variety reporting that Shekhar Kapur is set to direct the movie about the martial arts icon. Kapur is the director behind Elizabeth, its 2007 sequel, and one of the shorts in the New York, I Love You anthology, and in a statement he says he wants modern audiences to “relate their own lives to the journey of Bruce Lee,” specifically in the way he was able to “tap into his inner wisdom and harness his true destiny” before his death.
The movie—currently titled Little Dragon—has the full support of Lee’s daughter Shannon Lee and the Bruce Lee Entertainment company she runs, with Variety saying that it will be a “contemporary dramatization of the 1950s Hong Kong social and political forces” that made Lee into the man he became. Not many other details have been announced, but ...

Anticipation for 2017’s major festivals is at an all time high, with Coachella‘s lineup serving as the holy grail of the entire season. We’ve already heard some rumors about the alleged headliners, while DJ Khaled inadvertently spilled the beans on his slot at the festival. Now we have another enticing update to ponder with a list that attempts to predict the entire lineup.
A website called TravelGrom has consistently made predictions about Coachella lineups in the past with a high degree of accuracy compared to the average rumor, and they’ve just offered up their projections for 2017. While the information is just conjecture at this point, TravelGrom predicted last year’s lineup with 64% accuracy. If that figure holds true again, over half of the list will wind up on the official lineup.
The alleged lineup includes a diverse array of styles, with representation from Edm, Rock, Rap, Pop and everything in between.

It’s been four years since Harley Streten, better known by his producer alias, Flume, dropped his self-titled debut release to universal acclaim. The Australian electronic musician took a long break between albums, but he finally hinted last year that a new record was in the works. The highly anticipated sophomore LP, titled Skin, dropped earlier today and sees the innovative producer delivering sixteen stellar tracks and a full hour of new music.
Fans waited patiently for new material to surface, and expectations of Skin have been feverishly high. Luckily for us, Streten delivers the goods with his sophomore effort, expanding on the unique style he cultivated on his first album while maturing his signature sound.
“Helix” serves as a moody introduction to Skin, opening with a distorted, droning bass pad and a cinematic flute melody, as Flume’s trademark detuned arpeggios and loosely timed drum hits act as a fitting start to the album.

Flume‘s upcoming sophomore album Skin is one of the most anticipated releases of 2016, following up on his self-titled debut four years ago. In anticipation of the new effort, which drops May 27, the Australian future bass producer debuted five new tracks from the album during an interview with Triple J.
The hour long chat gave us plenty of new material to obsess over, featuring songs with Vic Mensa, Little Dragon and Kučka. If the music heard in the interview is any indication, Skin is sure to live up to the anticipation.
In addition to the new Flume new material, Kygo posted an image to social media of him and the producer together, prompting rumors to spread about the possibility of a collab between the two esteemed artists. We can’t say yet from the picture alone whether or not they have something in the works together, but a collaboration between...

Seattle-based downtempo/future bass duo Odesza have very quickly reached a considerable fan base over their short time as an outfit. 2014 saw the release of their sophomore album, In Return, and in the months to follow they’ve played sold out shows at nightclubs, venues and festivals across the world.
In conjunction with the announcement that they will release a deluxe edition of the same album in September, the duo have put out “Light,” a brand-new track featuring Little Dragon vocalist Yukimi Nagano.
Nagano’s contribution beautifully compliments the effervescent synth work of the track, which showcases the outfit’s melodic prowess. It’s commonly known that Odesza use live controllers to perform every track spontaneously, jamming out each part and improvising it in the moment – and the structure of the “Light” certainly lends itself to that if you know what you’re listening for.

With enough time having lapsed to allow repeat viewings (for some of us, at least), we’re finally prepared to discuss Shane Carruth’s “one-man band” sci-fi/body horror/romance Upstream Color, one of the year’s most divisive movies. Will its avant-genre hybrid moves charm Ricky, Edgar and Simon? Find uut in one of the most epic reviews in Sos history. After that, the crew tackles the latest from site darling Ben Wheatley, the psychedelic Western A Field In England, which had its cross-platform debut last weekend.

"That's where my name came from," Keith McCurdy says, describing the hyper-detailed gun tattooed on his neck, with "Bang" inked beneath it. McCurdy mustered up the courage to get the neck tat at 18 years old, the same age he bought his first tattoo gun. It wasn't long before McCurdy was known as Bang Bang, quickly becoming one of the biggest names in the tattoo world today.
Rihanna was Bang Bang's first celebrity client, with other big names like Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Rita Ora and Cara Delevigne following suit. If you want proof of Bang Bang's star-studded client list just check out his leg; the brazen artist allows his high profile patrons to tattoo his appendage, making his body a living autograph book. Bieber tattooed a "Swaggy mouse" while Perry went with a classic depiction of hard candy.
We reached out to Bang Bang to learn the stories behind his most loved and loathed tattoos.

Sarah Jaffe is that uber cool, ultra-talented chick who doesn't seem to know how uber cool and ultra-talented she is.
In between tweeting random spurts of dry comedic genius and playing tunes from her latest album "The Body Wins" on tour with Why?, Jaffe donates her hauntingly emotive vocals to Disney-Pixar's "The Blue Umbrella" -- the animated short making its rounds on the film festival circuit and preceding "Monsters University" in theaters.
"The Blue Umbrella" director, Saschka Unseld, says Jaffe's music, in a way, inspired the short itself. Unseld came across the 27-year-old artist quite by accident when she opened for another performer in San Francisco. The animator says he was an instant fan. Last night’s flashback-tastic New Girl episode, “Virgins,” was a treasure trove of music to set the mood — some songs more successfully than others — as the loftmates looked back on their first sexual encounters. Anchoring the eclectic mix (which ranged from Sublime to Boyz II Men and even figured in Lisa Loeb), Ellie Goulding’s “Anything Could Happen” kicked in during a fan-fulfilling scene between Nick (Jake Johnson) and Jess (Zooey Deschanel).
It got us thinking of some of our favorite first-time anthems from shows of yore. Below, our ultimate Spotify playlist of coupling tracks!

Big Boi, "Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors" (Def Jam)
Big Boi is artistic throughout his sophomore solo album, taking risks by meshing electro sounds with his raps and singing. But this collection doesn't sound like Flo Rida or Pitbull. This is classic.
"Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors" is a 14-track set that is full of gems, and flows from the intro "Ascending" to the closing track "Descending," with Little Dragon. And what's in between is just as great, including "Raspberries," "Thom Pettie" and "The Thickets."
Another treasure is "Cpu," featuring Phantogram, an indie pop group that consists of singer Sarah Barthel and vocalist-guitarist Josh Carter. It's a sonically upbeat song with Big Boi rapping about the new age of technology, while Barthel sings her airy vocals.
Big Boi and Phantogram team up again on the impressive "Objectum Sexuality" and "Lines," which also features rapper A$AP Rocky. On the Kelly Rowland-assisted "Mama Told Me,...
