- Born in Miami, Florida, and a graduate of Long Beach State University, Elliot Osrin comes from a multicultural and artistic family tree; dating back to pre-revolutionary Cuba, where his family made a living owning a local movie theater, through freelance photography, and writing. His grandfather Ray Osrin, was also a controversial political cartoonist.
A third generation Cuban American, he spent much of his childhood tuning his abilities academically, creatively, and athletically; with his short films in grade school earning him plenty of recognition. It was during this time when he realized what his professional aspirations would be.
Osrin is an alumnus of Christopher Columbus High School, where he was heavily involved in athletics and film club. Upon moving to California, he began working in advertising and promotion at CBS Television, and continues his career in Los Angeles as an editor, and director of photography on music videos, film, and television. He has worked with two-time BAFTA award winning filmmaker Wayne Derrick, and producer Malek Akkad among others.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Miami Up & Coming
