Making films in his spare time Richard had his first chance to work on television at 19 years old when he joined the Bath work experience group called Club Flix. Through this organisation he worked on projects for BBC Blast and Enounters Film Festival creating new video content and pre-selecting films for the Encounters Fresh Flix film festival. The videos were successful and Richard was asked back by BBC Blast for a years apprenticeship.
