Can you remember this slightly cheesy (and extremely hair conscious) performer mentored by Simon Cowell back on The X Factor back in 2008?

Sophie Habibis admits Kelly Rowland's absence from 'The X Factor' was "hard" this week. The 19-year-old barmaid - who was eliminated from the ITV1 show last night (30.10.11) - explained while she was unhappy with her performance on Saturday's Halloween-themed episode, she just had to "get on with it" as her mentor was struck down with a mystery throat infection in her native Us. Kelly Rowland reportedly has no plans to quit The X Factor and has already booked her flight back to London for this week's shows. The former Destiny's Child singer missed last weekend's shows after allegedly being banned from flying by her doctor after contracting a sore throat. She was replaced on the panel by former winner Alexandra Burke. Rowland voted to send home her own act Sophie Habibis on Sunday night's results show via the phone, saving Misha B. Of suggestions that she may not return, a source told Metro: "Kelly will definitely be on next week's show and has booked her flight (more)...

Sophie Habibis was voted off 'The X Factor' last night (30.10.11). The 19-year-old barmaid landed alongside Misha B in the bottom two, and after an emotional sing-off - which saw Sophie perform a rendition of The xx's 'Shelter' - all four judges unanimously decided to keep Misha in the competition. Sophie's mentor Kelly Rowland - who delivered her verdict via speaker phone from Los Angeles after being struck down with a mystery throat infection which prevented her from appearing on the ITV1 show this weekend - said: "This is so hard because I know how bad you both want this. "But I know...

Sophie Habibis has become the seventh act to leave The X Factor 2011. The 19-year-old was sent home after finishing bottom of the public vote alongside Misha B. Both acts are mentored by Kelly Rowland, who missed this week's live shows due to illness. Habibis chose 'Shelter' by The xx as her survival song, but the judges were more impressed by Misha's sing-off performance of 'Use Somebody' by Kings Of Leon. All of the panel expressed surprise and disappointment in the result when host Dermot O'Leary approached them for their votes. Louis Walsh, who yesterday described Habibis as a "secretary who sings on weekends", chose to save Misha based on her natural "star quality". Tulisa Contostavlos addressed her personal issues with Misha when casting her vote, accepting that she couldn't (more)...

Kelly Rowland has pulled out of 'The X Factor' tomorrow night (29.10.11) after being struck down by illness. The judge had flown back to Los Angeles this week for a planned work trip following last Saturday's show which saw her clash with fellow panellists Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh over their accusations her act Misha B had been bullying other contestants. After leaving her three girls - Sophie Habibis, Janet Devlin and Misha - to prepare for their performances without her help this week, Kelly, 30, contacted bosses to inform them she would not be able to appear this weekend after contracting...
