Wheel Of Fortune Vanna White’s Exit Looming?
Vanna White has been by Pat Sajak’s side almost his entire Wheel of Fortune run. So, when he announced that he was leaving after Season 41 in June 2024, it was questionable if she would stick around. Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak harshly criticized his future successor, Ryan Seacrest.
Following Pat’s June 2023 announcement that he would be retiring as the host of Wheel of Fortune after a 40-year run, viewers learned that Ryan would be taking over beginning with Season 42.
As Pat, 77, finishes out final season on Wheel of Fortune, Ryan has been dealing with some personal issues.
As Monsters and Critics previously reported, Ryan, 49, and his girlfriend of three years, Aubrey Paige Petcosky, 26, broke up last month.
“After three beautiful years together, Ryan and Aubrey have mutually decided to part ways,” a source told People of their breakup, adding that the former couple plans to “stay in each other’s lives as good friends and support one another’s endeavors.”
Current Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak caught wind of the news, and according to a source, he isn’t surprised, given his opinion of Ryan.

Ryan Seacrest will take over the helm hosting Wheel of Fortune later this year, but fans of the show think someone else would do a better job filling Pat Sajak’s shoes.
As Monsters and Critics previously reported, Pat Sajak announced his retirement earlier this year.
Season 41 will be Pat’s final one as the longtime host of Wheel of Fortune, and this fall, Ryan will take over, beginning with Season 42.
Although Ryan has plenty of experience as a TV host, some critics think another well-known television personality would be better suited for the job.
In a recent Reddit thread, one Wheel of Fortune viewer made a bold proclamation when they posted, “Joel McHale > Ryan Seacrest.”
“I don’t know if he was in the running for Pat’s replacement, but I think Joel McHale (Card Sharks) would have been a great pick…” Redditor u/baracuda68 wrote in the caption.

Tom Stednicki had quite the game during his stint on Wheel of Fortune, and it might go down as one of the most memorable of all time.
The Watkins Glen, New York, resident showed off his incredible puzzle-solving prowess this week when he figured out a puzzle with only one letter on the board.
Tom’s category during the impressive round was “On the Map” and he was left to solve a puzzle with every letter worth a whopping $6,000.
Tom’s puzzle read, “_ _ _ _ _ _ _ / _ _ _ / _ _ _ S _ _” after Vanna Whie revealed the first letter.
Tom only hesitated for about two seconds before he blurted out, “Glacier Bay, Alaska!”
Tom was correct, sparking applause from the crowd and a low-key response from host Pat Sajak.

Pat Sajak had trouble delivering some tough news to a Wheel of Fortune contestant.
Cairo Hunter of Fontana, California, earned his way to the Bonus Round during his episode but missed out big time.
Cairo opted for the “Phrase” category and, in addition to the customary R, S, T, L, N, and E, he chose H, M, G, and the vowel A.
His letter options left him with a puzzle that read, “THE_ / HA_E / G_ _ _ / _ _ A L _ T _ E S.”
Before his 10-second countdown began, host Pat Sajak encouraged him to talk out possible puzzle solutions.
But, despite taking Pat’s advice and talking it out, Cairo could only come up with the first three words in the puzzle.

Pat Sajak was just as shocked as a Wheel of Fortune contestant after pulling off a Bonus Round solve in the nick of time.
Contestants are under immense pressure to solve puzzles during their Bonus Rounds, often having little to work with to solve their puzzles — all while a studio audience looks on, as well as viewers at home, and they only have 10 seconds to do it.
Such was the case for a recent Wheel of Fortune player named Max, who opted for the “Phrase” category during his Bonus Round.
After Vanna White unveiled all of the consonants and vowels on the board, Max was left with a puzzle that read “_ E / _ R E / _ O _ _ N _ / _ O R _ _ R D.”
Host Pat Sajak wished Max good luck before he took a stab at the puzzle and a chance to win some big cash or prizes.

A recent Wheel of Fortune Bonus Round puzzle had Pat Sajak questioning his co-host, Vanna White.
Vanna has served as the long-standing tile-turner on Wheel of Fortune since 1982, revealing puzzle letters to contestants and viewers.
A lot has changed since Vanna began her job on stage, however, with the implementation of technology.
When Vanna first began her job, she had to turn each letter tile to reveal contestants’ guesses physically.
But now, the board is digital, so all Vanna needs to do is tap each letter, much like using a touchscreen device, rather than turn them.
Regardless of the technique, Wheel of Fortune viewers rely on Vanna to do her job during each and every episode.

Another Bonus Round, another loss for a Wheel of Fortune contestant who couldn’t solve a challenging puzzle.
A contestant named Joey had the opportunity to win beaucoup bucks during his Bonus Round, but his puzzle was too much of a doozy.
During an episode that aired recently during Wheel of Fortune’s “Fabulous Food Week,” Joey came up short, costing him big.
Joey opted for the “What Are You Doing?” category, and after being provided with his five customary consonants, one vowel, and his own letter choices, he was left with a challenging puzzle to solve.
Iconic letter-turner Vanna White stood close to Joey’s puzzle board to unveil which of his letters appeared, as longtime host Pat Sajak noted, “Let’s see what we get here.”

Wheel of Fortune contestants have had a rough go lately during their Bonus Rounds, but that changed this week.
A contestant named Cynthia earned herself a spot in the Bonus Round and opted to guess a puzzle in the “Phrase” category.
Between the customary letters provided to her and her own letter choices, Cynthia was left with a board that read, “_ O / Y O _ R S E L _ / _ / _ _ _ O R.”
After Vanna White revealed the letters she was left with, Cynthia gasped as soon as she realized she knew the answer.
Host Pat Sajak reminded Cynthia not to lose her composure before she had a chance to take a crack at the puzzle.
“Okay, hang on now… Everything’s going to be fine. Time hasn’t even started yet. Don’t hyperventilate,” Pat told Cynthia, garnering a smile.

Wheel of Fortune viewers are livid and have accused host Pat Sajak of cheating a contestant out of $50,000.
While Pat Sajak finishes out his 41st and final season as the host of Wheel of Fortune, fans of the show have been more outspoken about his behavior on-air.
In recent months, many have claimed that Pat is robbing contestants of big money, either because he heard them incorrectly or he has a personal vendetta against them.
During a recent episode of Wheel of Fortune, a contestant named Tamara from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania tried her hand during the game’s Bonus Round.
The category was “What Are You Doing?” and after being supplied with the customary letters R, S, T, L, N, and E, Tamara chose her own, G, D, B, and A.

Maggie Sajak had the pleasure of speaking with Wheel of Fortune contestants following the game show’s Sweetheart’s Week.
The special episodes were in honor of the most romantic day of the year — Valentine’s Day — and instead of individuals competing against each other, couples faced off at the wheel.
Several couples competed for cash and prizes, including Greg and Tom, Amy and Joe, Christy and Trent, Karen and Seth, and Dameron and Drew, who also spoke with The Spin’s Maggie Sajak following their episodes.
Tom and Greg were the first couple to meet up with Maggie after their appearance and shared how they met.
Greg joked that he and Tom exchanged numbers, and after that, Tom wouldn’t stop calling or texting him, and eventually, Greg agreed to go out with him.

A Wheel of Fortune contestant came up short during her Bonus Round, but fans of the show think she got the short end of the stick.
The contestant, named Megan, a high school choir director from California, tried her hand at a Bonus Round puzzle in the “Living Thing” category.

Off the bat, Megan knew the second word in the puzzle was “orchid” and said aloud, “Something orchid…” However, she had trouble coming up with the first word in the puzzle.

Pat Sajak’s daughter, Maggie Sajak, honored her father’s last season as Wheel of Fortune host by dressing up as the show’s iconic game wheel for Halloween.

“This costume is the Wheel deal,” she captioned a photo she shared of the outfit on Instagram. “Happy Halloween!”
Some have speculated that Maggie may follow in her father’s footsteps and join the popular game show at some point.

It's been a big year for Wheel of Fortune.

In his place, Ryan Seacrest is set to take over, and while there were questions about whether Vanna White would continue on the series, she closed a deal earlier this year.
Now, White is looking to the future of the series and who should replace her if she can't be on the show.
In an interview with E! News, White suggested that Sajak's daughter, Maggie Sajak, would be the plausible next person to take over her role.

Vanna White is not retiring from Wheel of Fortune soon having just extended her time on the syndicated game show. However, retiring is not out of the question and it’s something White has thought about now that host Pat Sajak is leaving.
Continuing the legacy of the Sajaks, White thinks that Maggie Sajak would be a good replacement for her once she decides to part ways with the show.

After lengthy negotiations, Wheel of Fortune co-host Vanna White has extended her contract for additional two years to continue on the hit syndicated game show through the 2025-26 season.
The news comes as Wheel Of Fortune just kicked off Season 41 last week, which will be the last for longtime host Pat Sajak. By signing her new deal, White — whose existing contract is up at the end of the current 2023-24 season — will provide continuity. Wheel of Fortune is a game show that airs in syndication alongside its Sony Pictures Television partner Jeopardy!. The central “wheel” is a literal structure that three contestants spin to reveal a prize amount or punishment that they can add to their winnings if they correctly guess a world puzzle correctly. With Jeopardy! in a host vacuum following the botched search for a successor to the beloved Alex Trebek, Sony Pictures Television has locked in the hosts of its other hugely popular — and profitable — syndicated game show, Wheel of Fortune.
Pat Sajak and Vanna White have signed on to continue hosting the show through the 2023-2024 season. As part of the deal, Sajak has added consulting producer to his responsibilities.
Wheel of Fortune, which is heading into its 39th season, was impacted by the Jeopardy! turmoil. Mike Richards, who was out as permanent Jeopardy! host after one day of filming amid controversy over offensive comments he had made years ago, subsequently was exited from his post as executive of both Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune.
Jim Thornton, who will mark his 10th anniversary as Wheel of Fortune announcer, will get an expanded on-screen presence in the new season, which premieres Sept.
