Court-Appointed Guardian Calls Out A+E Networks For Exploitation
Sabrina Morrissey, Wendy Williams’ court-appointed guardian, is accusing A+E Networks of “humiliating” the daytime TV icon. “At a certain point,” says Where Is Wendy Williams? producer Mark Ford, “we were more worried about what would happen if we stopped filming than if we continued.”
So, for the better part of a year, his cameras kept rolling, documenting the increasingly fragile state that the former talk show host had found herself in, as she alternately craved family, her former TV platform and an excessive amount of alcohol, all while struggling to remain coherent. What ultimately came of that footage is a raw, devastating, four-plus hour documentary, which aired on Lifetime over two nights last weekend. Williams, her son, Kevin Hunter Jr., and her jeweler-turned-manager, William Selby, are all credited as executive producers.
Nevertheless, the eOne and Creature Films project asks more questions than it answers, including what, exactly, was going on with Williams, and why a court-ordered guardian has largely cut her off from her family. Though...

Wendy Williams has gone public with her diagnosis two days ahead of the release of what has promised to be a revealing Lifetime docuseries centered on the former talk show host.
In a press release sent out Thursday claiming to be on behalf of Williams and her care team, the statement shares that, in 2023, after undergoing a battery of medical tests, Williams was officially diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia (Ftd).
Aphasia, a condition that affects the ability to understand or express speech, and frontotemporal dementia, a progressive disorder impacting behavior and cognitive functions, “have already presented significant hurdles in Wendy’s life,” reads the statement. Bruce Willis recently went public with his frontotemporal dementia diagnosis.
“As Wendy’s fans are aware, in the past she has been open with the public about her medical struggles with Graves’ Disease and Lymphedema as well as other significant challenges related to her health,...

Since the end of her popular talk show in 2022, host Wendy Williams has largely retreated from the public eye and left fans and followers concerned about her well-being. The soon-to-be-released Lifetime documentary, Where Is Wendy Williams?, which will premiere on February 24, details Williams’ decline.
Williams’ family opened up for the first time about the period that unfolded in Williams’ life as she faced personal struggles that mirrored the dramatic stories she once dissected in her popular “Hot Topics” segment.
Initially, the documentary crew had planned to follow Williams as she made a comeback and prepared to launch a new podcast. However, the project took an unexpected turn when the crew found out Williams, who served as an executive producer, was in the midst of alcohol addiction and health issues, which included Graves’ disease, an autoimmune disorder associated with bulging eyes, and lymphedema, a condition that causes swelled feet.

Wendy Williams’ family members are breaking their silence ahead of the upcoming Lifetime documentary on the state of the troubled former daytime host, whose multiple public mishaps pointed to an unraveling that now has her under a secretive guardianship.
Following the June 2022 cancellation of her hit daytime talk show related to health struggles, Williams is now living inside a facility under the financial control of a court-appointed guardian as her family wonders why they have been essentially shut out of her life, according to a new report from People and the two-night docuseries that is set to debut Feb. 24.
In April 2023, Williams, who had been remarkably candid as she struggled with her health and addictions, entered an unnamed facility to treat what her manager Will Selby says in the documentary are “cognitive issues.” Williams has the autoimmune disorder Graves’ disease and lymphedema, which is the buildup of fluid in soft...

Wendy Williams‘ manager is sharing an update on the former TV host’s guardianship and her recovery, amid her son, Kevin Hunter Jr.’s concerns over his mother’s well-being.
The 22-year-old college student gave an interview to The U.S. Sun Tuesday, in which he shared how he believes Wendy’s team is taking advantage of her wealth amid her alleged battle with alcoholism, which he said does not allow her to make sound decisions.
According to the article, Kevin was being financially supported by his mother but lost a large part of that support when her financial affairs were taken over by a guardian in May 2022.
Et spoke with her manager, Will Selby, who refuted Kevin’s claims, namely his suggestion that she’s being taken advantage of by her team.
