Christopher Nolan may very well be one of today’s most recognized filmmakers in the business. Between his work in grounding the character and world of Batman and his Dark Knight Trilogy, and his work in making mainstream substantive films like Inception and The Prestige, he’s made a name for himself as one of the most interesting voices in the business.
His last film, Interstellar saw him venture into the realm of space and time. With each passing movie, it seemed he was moving further and further into the abstract realm. However, with his new upcoming film, Dunkirk, he seems poised to bring things back to reality. The first trailer was an interesting, if not unfocused look at an interesting historical event, but if you were like me, you were left wanting a lot more.
