This is what vacation dreams are made of. After nearly four years of marriage, Hilary Duff and Matthew Koma make great travel partners, and they made that perfectly clear in photos from their trip to Mexico posted on Instagram on Sept. 11. The intimate tropical getaway included picturesque views, beachside cocktails, and an incredible pool directly overlooking the ocean. Duff and Koma summed up their magical trip with a photo of them staring adoringly at one another with a bright orange sunset in the background.
While living her best Lizzie McGuire life on the beach, Duff packed equally dreamy vacation-wear, including a green floral maxi dress, a chic minidress with quiet luxury-inspired accessories, and a tropical-print button down for exploring the resort (seemingly in Punta Mita). This much-deserved R&r comes shortly after Hulu's shocking cancellation of Duff's "How I Met Your Father," so it's no surprise the pair made...

Joey King and Steven Piet are pretty private when it comes to their romance. The two first met on the set of "The Act"; Piet was a producer on the anthology series, while King starred as Gypsy Rose Blanchard in the first season. However, it wasn't until September 2019 that they were romantically linked together when they cuddled up at a Los Angeles movie screening.
Since then, the pair have given us a few peeks at their relationship on Instagram, posting photos of their adventures together and, on March 1, their engagement. That day, King announced that Piet had popped the question on Feb. 22 with a photo series showing off her engagement ring. "I never knew happiness could be so powerful that it can take the air from your lungs, overwhelming every part of you that you can't help but feel your eyes well from the undeniable joy," she wrote on Instagram.

And on Aug. 1, Liu and Bender attended the LA premiere for "Bullet Train," along with other Hollywood couples like Joey King and Steven Piet, and Barbara Palvin and Dylan Sprouse.
Though it seems Liu and Bender aren't shy about putting their romance in the spotlight, neither of the two has publicly commented on it. According to People, the couple were previously spotted at a taping of "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" for Liu's June 28 appearance on the late-night talk show.

After over three years together, Joey King and Steven Piet are finally making their red carpet debut as a couple. On Aug. 1, the director joined King on the red carpet for the "Bullet Train" premiere in Los Angeles, marking the final stop of her press tour. The engaged pair, who usually prefers to keep their relationship out of the spotlight, posed arm-in-arm and even shared a few kisses for the cameras. The actor chose a plunging white blazer dress with hip cutouts for the occasion, while Piet stood alongside her in a casual sleek navy suit, sans tie.
King and Piet got engaged on their three-year anniversary in February. "Hanging out with you forever sounds like a real dream, so let's do it," she wrote on Instagram, sharing a close-up of her unique diamond engagement ring and adorable snaps of the two. Though first linked romantically in 2019, the couple met...

Barbara Palvin and Dylan Sprouse were among the many couples at the "Bullet Train" premiere in Los Angeles on Aug. 1. The couple looked supremely sweet as they posed like it was prom and gazed into each other's eyes on the red carpet. They also subtly matched: Palvin wore black lace separates with white knee-high boots, while Sprouse wore a classic black suit and a white shirt.
Palvin and Sprouse have been together for four years. After meeting at a party and promptly following each other on Instagram, Sprouse sent Palvin a message which went unanswered for six months until she finally decided to reach out. "I took my time," Palvin told W. "I knew I wasn't in a good mind-set at the time, and maybe deep inside I knew that it could be something more." They officially began dating in June 2018 and moved in together not long after, in January...

Briarpatch Episode 2
Maybe it’s watching the characters of Briarpatch interact in the searing temperatures of San Bonafacio, but I’ve already warmed to USA Network’s new neo noir quite a bit. However, after two episodes, a clear problem looks to be arising for the show; there are two seemingly competing storylines, and one is more interesting. At the moment, it isn’t an issue because the hunt for Felicity’s killer is bringing Allegra into contact with all sorts of quirky characters with shady motivations. But as more time is spent on Allegra’s day job, the one bringing her back in touch with old flame Jake Spivey, I’m already finding myself wondering when we will get back to the Spivey,...

Filming for The Kissing Booth sequel has officially wrapped, and Joey King is getting candid about what it was like working with ex-boyfriend Jacob Elordi again. While on the Mood With Lauren Elizabeth podcast this week, King (Elle Evans) said having an onscreen romance with Elordi (Noah Flynn) was a "sacrifice" she had to make.
"Playing Elle Evans was genuinely one of the best experiences of my life," King said. "Kissing Booth one is always going to be one of my favorite experiences I've ever had, so getting to jump back in was superexciting for me, but I was nervous because of how much my world had changed as far as how to hit comedy beats and where my mind was going."
"I grew as a person on this."
"I know what everyone wants to know, of course. It was crazy. It was a wild experience. But honestly, it was a really beautiful time,...

With less than a month until the Toronto International Film Festival, the annual gathering has unveiled some intriguing TV entries in its 2019 schedule.
As part of the fifth incarnation of Tiff’s Primetime section, the festival announced a half-dozen series that will join this year’s lineup. The headliner for 2019 is HBO’s “Mrs. Fletcher,” the latest TV effort from Tom Perrotta based on one of novels. Featuring a pilot directed by Nicole Holofcener, the series stars Kathryn Hahn as Eve Fletcher, in search of fulfillment while her son looks for the same during his first year at college.
After making a Tiff splash at last year’s fest with “Sorry for Your Loss,” Facebook Watch is returning with another high-profile title. “Limetown,” starring Jessica Biel and Stanley Tucci, is adapted from the scripted podcast of the same name, a fictional spin on a mysterious true-crime investigation. Rounding out the U.

After four deliciously dark seasons on Syfy, the network has decided not to move forward with a fifth installment of Channel Zero.
Channel Zero creator, executive producer, and writer Nick Antosca shared the somber news on Instagram. While the creepypasta-based series is no more on Syfy, that doesn't mean that we won't see new seasons in the future at another network or streaming service (as Antosca hints at the end of his Instagram post).
Channel Zero has found a resurgence in viewership on AMC's Shudder, with the first three seasons of the anthology series currently available to watch on the streaming service. With their new Creepshow anthology series premiering this year, Shudder has been expanding their original content, and it seems like new seasons of Channel Zero would be a perfect fit for the streaming service.
Time will tell, and we'll keep Daily Dead readers updated on all things Channel Zero in the future.

Over the course of three seasons on Syfy, Channel Zero has burrowed into my psyche and spawned an endless supply of nightmares—and I mean that as the highest compliment. If you haven't yet experienced the horror anthology series, or, like me, you want to re-experience the otherworldly (and all-too-real) scares that Nick Antosca and his creative team have cooked up, then you're in for a treat, because the show is coming soon to Shudder!
Press Release: – The binge-worthy and unsettling horror series Channel Zero is soon available exclusively to stream on Shudder, the leading premium streaming service for thriller, suspense and horror. The first three installments of Channel Zero, which airs on Syfy, have earned the anthology series a collective 98% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes for its high-brow grasp on popular creepypastas and horror microfictions. Created by Nick Antosca and produced by Universal Cable Productions (Ucp), each six-episode installment features a new cast,...

Luke Cage’s Rosario Dawson stars in Briarpatch, a USA Network TV series developed by Mr. Robot’s Sam Esmail.
Rosario Dawson cemented her exit from Netflix’s street-level Marvel shows last year; a move that proved prescient with the subsequent cancellation of Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Punisher, Daredevil and Jessica Jones. Having moved on, Dawson will star on USA Network crime anthology series Briarpatch, which adapts the 1984 Ross Thomas novel of the same name.
The series is developed by Esmail Corp. and Anonymous Content, the companies of Sam Esmail, the creator of USA Network’s hit Internet age series, Mr. Robot. Dawson headlines as Allegra “Pick” Dill, a Washington, DC-based investigator and political fixer who is drawn back to her Texas home town after the car-bomb-caused murder of her decade-younger sister, who was a homicide detective. Back in the Lone Star State, Allegra will field...

As Arkasha Stevenson can now tell you, directing TV horror has its filmmaking perks. The director of all six episodes of “Channel Zero: Butcher’s Block” knows of at least one thing that really helped make this process work.
“I am in love with technocranes now. I want one. I want to ride it to the grocery store every day. I love them,” Stevenson said in a recent IndieWire interview. “Working on smaller projects, you have so many ideas in your head that you just can’t execute, because you don’t have the crew or you don’t have the tools and you don’t have the resources.”
Bringing “Butcher’s Block” to life brought the usual difficult “Channel Zero” balancing act of juggling a grounded horror story with some of the most terrifying visions anywhere on TV. Luckily for Stevenson, her first stint as a TV director came...
