Jason "Royster" Rogers is am American film producer and writer. He is most known for his connection to Spike Lee and producing the motion picture Dayveon (2017). Rogers first discovered the world of film when he studied English at Morehouse College. He wrote his first theater play when he was a junior in college. He sought out advice from his friend Spike Lee in hopes of turning his theater play into a movie. While Spike Lee turned down the opportunity, he was able to get the play shown at Clark Atlanta College. From there Rogers started to peruse becoming a screenwriter more actively. Eventually all of his work paid off in 2007 when he was able to assist at the writers table for Dream Girls. From there Jason Rogers career has taken off. He has be nominated for many award because his independent film Dayveon (2017) including a Sundance Film Festival nomination of Audience Award.
