They did it again.
Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 4 Episode 10 offered suspense that made it impossible to look away for a second.
It's not often that an hour of television is this riveting. The suspense was only one of many reasons this episode was must-see TV.
Most crime shows follow set patterns, including the rest of the Law & Order franchise. There's nothing wrong with that, but Law & Order: Organized Crime is refreshing because it breaks the mold.
There were almost no tired TV tropes during the hour, even if there was one twist that I feel like I should have seen coming.
Throughout the hour, Stabler continually earned more of Angus' trust. That was good news for his case but may not be great news for him personally, especially considering what happened to Sam.
The closer he gets to Angus, the more likely it is he will...

Camryn Manheim is trying a new approach to bringing her onscreen wishes to life: talking about them during interviews. Manheim’s currently starring on Law & Order as Lieutenant Kate Dixon — the NBC drama’s return in 2022 for Season 21 brought her back onto the show, in a new role and as a series regular, after guest starring as three different characters in previous episodes. But TV fans, especially ones of ’90s television, probably know her best from her time as lawyer Ellenor Frutt on The Practice (1997-2004). Well, also on that courtroom drama (which came in at #56 on our Best Shows of the ’90s list)? Dylan McDermott, who played lawyer Bobby Donnell — and who starred on Law & Order: Organized Crime as Richard Wheatley until the March 3, 2022 episode. If you’re disappointed that Manheim and McDermott never reunited in a Law & Order crossover, you’re not the only one. Manheim...

Dylan McDermott knew it was time to see the light. Ahead of the season two premiere of CBS' FBI: Most Wanted, the actor exclusively revealed to E! News why he decided to take on the role of Fugitive Task Force boss Remy Scott after playing the evil Richard Wheatley in Law & Order: Organized Crime. "I played a lot of good characters in my career, but recently, the last 10 years, I think they've been more questionable—certainly from American Horror Story to Organized Crime and some movies in there, so it was time to go back to the good," McDermott said. "So when Dick [Wolf] called me with this role, it was perfect timing, because I definitely needed to go...

The good news when it comes to the Law & Order: Svu Season 23 finale: Raúl Esparza is back as Rafael Barba. The bad news: Things are still very tense between him and Captain Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) after he defended Richard Wheatley (Dylan McDermott) during the murder trial for Detective Elliot Stabler’s (Christopher Meloni) wife (Isabel Gillies). As the promo for “A Final Call at Forlini’s Bar” shows, Barba is coming in after the squad provides help and protection for a longtime domestic violence victim, only she ends up at the defendant’s table in court. So, Detective Amanda Rollins (Kelli Giddish) turns to Barba, which is going to be a surprise for her boyfriend, Ada Sonny Carisi (Peter Scanavino). In fact, in the preview, Carisi looks a bit confused since he thought Benson and Barba “weren’t even speaking.” Is that when he’ll find out who called his opponent?...

After a successful return to NBC over a decade after the series’ cancellation, ‘Law & Order’ has been renewed for Season 22. Additionally, spinoff “Law & Order: Organized Crime” will return for its third season.
Dick Wolf’s beloved procedural drama originally premiered on NBC in 1990 and ran for 20 seasons until its cancellation in 2010. In September 2021, NBC announced that the series would return for Season 21, which debuted in February. The new season followed the bifurcated format that was created for its original run and continued to examine “the police who investigate crime and the district attorneys who prosecute the offenders.”
Sam Waterston and Anthony Anderson reprised their original roles, Jack McCoy and Kevin Bernard, respectively, and were joined by Jeffrey Donovan, Camryn Manheim, Hugh Dancy and Odelya Halevi.
Variety reviewed the new season positively, calling it a “worthy continuation” of its original run and noting that “what is most novel about...

“Law & Order” has been renewed for Season 22 and “Law & Order: Organized Crime” for Season 3, NBC announced on Tuesday.
The original “mothership” series returned from a 12-year-hiatus for its 21st season this year, with Sam Waterston and Anthony Anderson reprising their roles as D.A. Jack McCoy and Detective Kevin Bernard, respectively. The revived series also stars Jeffrey Donovan, Camryn Manheim, Hugh Dancy and Odelya Halevi.
Christopher Meloni’s “Organized Crime’ spinoff, which launched in April 2021, brought back the actor as fan-favorite Elliot Stabler. It sounds like Raúl Esparza’s upcoming return to Law & Order: Svu will thankfully end with Rafael Barba on better terms with the squad. Esparza and Jordana Spiro are set to guest star in the Season 23 finale (May 19), Give Me My Remote reports. Barba, who left the Da’s office in Season 19, has since occasionally shown up in a professional capacity as a defense attorney, and he will be doing that once again. This time, Detective Amanda Rollins (Kelli Giddish) turns to him after bonding with a domestic violence victim (Spiro). Last season, Captain Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Sergeant Odafin “Fin” Tutuola (Ice T) went to Barba for help (“Sightless in a Savage Land”). Then, earlier this season during an Organized Crime crossover (“People Vs Richard Wheatley”), Barba surprised the squad when he defended Richard Wheatley (Dylan McDermott), who was on trial for the murder of Detective Elliot Stabler’s (Christopher Meloni) wife.

Bell should save her breath.
Every time a mission gets dangerous, she offers to abort it, only for the cop in question to refuse.
It happened again on Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 2 Episode 18, with good reason.
Donnelly made Stabler his number two man and tested him by bailing during a key operation.
If Stabler had listened to Bell and pulled out, it would have made him look weak, and Donnelly would never have trusted him again.
The mission could have been a set-up, but Stabler had to take that risk or lose everything he'd worked to gain so far.
I don't know why Bell didn't understand that.
As it was, the cops showing up to help Stabler out of a jam could have gone badly.
Braden wasn't the only one who was paranoid. A guy like Webb has to assume everyone is out to get him, and since the...

Captain Cragen's cameo appearance was all too short but so good.
On Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 2 Episode 17, Stabler turned to his old mentor for answers about his father's behavior on the job.
While Cragen couldn't tell him much, hopefully, the little he did say gave Stabler a sense of closure.
Stabler spent the hour balancing his questions about his father with his need to investigate The Brotherhood.
The pressure was on at work, with a new Ada wanting this investigation wrapped up as quickly as possible.
Bit Stabler's home life wasn't much better.

Her homecoming seemed like another normal event in the Stabler household even though she was in the hospital after being kidnapped and discovering her boyfriend worked for Richard Wheatley.

You can forget about Richard Wheatley — and if you can’t just yet, you will soon enough. Dylan McDermott is now Supervisory Special Agent Remy Scott on FBI: Most Wanted, and while it may seem a bit strange to see the Law & Order: Organized Crime star on another Dick Wolf show — technically part of the same universe, too! — so soon, don’t dwell on it so much. McDermott’s been reading the comments online about it being “too soon”. “I’m relishing it,” he admitted when speaking with press ahead of his debut on the CBS procedural drama. “I think it’s amazing that people actually believe that’s the character that I’m playing, that I’m him. Dylan McDermott is making the jump from Law & Order Organized Crime to FBI: Most Wanted, and while both shows are from legendary producer Dick Wolf, the characters could not be more different.
It was recently revealed that McDermott would be playing new team leader Remy Scott on Most Wanted after the departure of Julian McMahan.
However, McDermott has been playing the villainous Richard Wheatley for two seasons on Law & Order: Organized Crime, and let's just say fans have many thoughts about the character.

After a memorable turn as vicious mobster Richard Wheatley on “Law & Order: Organized Crime,” Dylan McDermott is enjoying playing someone on the right side of the law in “FBI: Most Wanted.” His character, Remy Scott, takes over as team leader in the April 12 episode of the CBS series, which is also from prolific producer Dick Wolf.
“I’ve played some questionable people along the way. It’s time to play someone good again and Remy Scott is that character,” McDermott said during a virtual panel on Wednesday. He’s aware that after playing the villainous “Oc” character — who killed Elliot Stabler’s (Christopher Meloni’s) wife and tried to have his own wife killed — audiences might have a hard time accepting him as a good guy.
