We know that Luke Skywalker was one badass Jedi by the conclusion of the original trilogy. But apparently, that was just the tip of the iceberg. In Ken Liu’s new Star Wars novel, fans will be treated to a series of myths and tall-tales involving Mark Hamill’s Jedi Master. The Legends of Luke Skywalker is available for purchase now, and it looks to include some new insight into Luke’s breathtaking abilities.
Liu’s book is considered canon, but all of its stories are told through the lens of a cargo crew bound for Canto Bight – the same city in which Finn and Rose begin their “dark mission” during Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
YouTube channel Star Wars Theory recently uncovered some new details from Liu’s novel which reveal that Jedi Luke is able to bring down entire Star Destroyers using only the Force. Remember all those...

The Legends of Luke Skywalker continue to awe and inspire.
Ken Liu’s newly-unveiled Star Wars novel, which presents a series of myths and tall-tales involving Mark Hamill’s Jedi Master, is available to pick up from today, November 1st, and it may well include some insight into Luke’s breathtaking abilities.
However, it’s important to stress that while Liu’s book is considered canon, all of its stories are told through the lens of a cargo crew bound for Canto Bight – the same city in which Finn and Rose begin their “dark mission” during Star Wars: The Last Jedi. As such, The Legends of Luke Skywalker shouldn’t be viewed as gospel, but Ken Liu’s tie-in novel still makes for interesting reading.
And so, after linking Luke Skywalker with the Battle of Jakku, YouTube channel Star Wars Theory recently uncovered some new details from the pages of...

A new Star Wars: The Last Jedi image surfaced today via the Twitter account of Yahoo! Movies. The image shows the current trilogy’s heroine, Rey, on the island of Ahch-to, with her back to us holding her bow staff. My interpretation of the photo is that it depicts Rey while training on the island with Luke Skywalker. You can see the tweet below.

This week marks Star Wars' 40th Anniversary, and Vanity Fair has given us an inside look at the upcoming The Force Awakens sequel, The Last Jedi. And for most fans of Star Wars this sequel is very important because for the first time since Return of the Jedi, we will have Lots of Luke Skywalker (if you don't count the seconds he appears in The Force Awakens.) Many fans have a certain expectation of what Luke may be like in his later years. They are of course basing it on what they have seen him do in the previous films. Certainly Luke himself, Mark Hamill is one of those 'fans.' In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Hamill recalls the first time he read through The Last Jedi script:
“I at one point had to say to Rian, ‘I pretty much fundamentally disagree with every choice you’ve made for this character.

Marvel and Netflix delivered another huge hit when they launched Luke Cage last year, and while a second season was confirmed shortly after it arrived on the streaming service, we still have no idea when that will be released or even when it’s set to begin production.
Mike Colter’s Luke Cage will be seen in The Defenders later this year, that much we know, but it seems that the character will be back in his own solo show a lot sooner than expected. That’s because a few days ago, Simone Missick (Misty Knight) took to social media to reveal that she’s begun training for her next small screen appearance. While Jessica Jones is currently shooting in NYC, it seems unlikely that Misty would appear there, and there’s also been other evidence that’s surfaced which points to Missick preparing for Luke Cage. For one, according to Olv,...

"I only know one truth... It's time for the Jedi to end." Disney + Lucasfilm have debuted the first official teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi, the next film in the ongoing Star Wars saga. Directed by Rian Johnson, this film continues the storyline started in The Force Awakens following Rey, Finn, Poe, and Kylo Ren. Daisy Ridley returns as Rey, with John Boyega, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Gwendoline Christie, Domhnall Gleeson, Lupita Nyong'o, Peter Mayhew, Andy Serkis, and Warwick Davis. Newcomers include Benicio Del Toro, Laura Dern, and others. This is our very first glimpse at the movie, so there isn't too much revealed here, but there is a lot to think about. I love the visuals, it's exciting to see Rey getting stronger, but I'm worried Luke may be going bad. Fire it up! Here's the first teaser trailer for Rian Johnson's Star Wars: The Last Jedi,...

Luke may have said a firm “no” to Lorelai about having a baby on the Gilmore Girls revival, but if Scott Patterson has anything to say about it, the couple will eventually be parents!
Upon watching the four-part Netflix revival A Year in the Life, audiences learn that the longtime couple considers having a baby, a.k.a. “fresh kid,” via a surrogate at the beginning of the first episode (“Winter”). But after visiting Paris Gellar’s (Liza Weil) Dynasty Makers fertility and service clinic, Luke is turned off, although Lorelai is still interested in the idea.

It's been nine years since we said goodbye to Rory Gilmore as she went off on the campaign trail with Barak Obama, Luke and Lorelai reunited, and Stars Hollow threw one hell of a going away party for the Gilmore Girls.
But that ending wasn't enough.
Longtime fans of the series were unsatisfied. Creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and her husband Daniel Palladino had been at the helm of the series for six years. But they left before the show was finished, and the story that they were telling was placed on hold, replaced with stories that felt like the Upside Down of Stranger Things.
Everything looked about right. But everything and everyone was just way off base.
So we flash-forward, nine years later. The stars aligned and the Gilmore Girls are back on Netflix, sans Richard (Edward Herrmann passed away in 2014 leaving a gaping hole in the Gilmore family), with the...

Scott Patterson‘s Luke may not be delivering any of Amy Sherman-Palladino’s final four Gilmore Girls words, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have an investment in them. On the contrary, one might say he’s a little too invested in them.
“I actually submitted a list of what I wanted the four words to be to Amy and Dan [Palladino],” the actor deadpans in the above video interview. “And when I found out what the four words actually were, I was quite perturbed. They didn’t take [my suggestions]. So I made some phone calls and raised the roof a little bit.

“Code of the Streets,” Luke Cage‘s gorgeously shot and unevenly scripted second episode, offers up both a visual feast and a fair primer on the black community’s internal conflict over assimilation, respectability, and silence. And hell if it doesn’t look good.

The legal battle between Kesha and Dr. Luke may be far from over, but one side has claimed a small victory: On Wednesday a judge dropped Dr. Luke's lawsuits against Kesha's mom, Pebe Sebert, and her manager, Jack Rovner, according to The Hollywood Reporter. On Tuesday, Kesha's mom tweeted that Dr. Luke has been allegedly trying to blackmail her for "telling the truth about him" by forcing Sebert to relinquish songwriting credit on the 2013 Pitbull song "Timber," featuring Kesha, or else the 15 other songwriters credited on the song would no longer receive royalties. In October 2014, Dr. Luke sued Kesha's mom following the singer's allegations of sexual abuse against the producer, arguing that Sebert had made defamatory claims about his behavior, forced Kesha to break her contract with Dr. Luke's label, and was trying to extort him. The judge ruled Wednesday in Sebert's favor, saying there was no...

Heroes Reborn, Season 1, Episode 3, “Under the Mask”
Written by Seamus Kevin Fahey
Directed by Greg Beeman
Airs on Thursdays at 8 pm (Et) on NBC
Family is as important to the universe of Heroes as Primatech or people inexplicably coming back to life. The Petrellis and the Nakamuras and the Bennets and the Sureshs had grand lineages that went into controlling the evos, exploiting them, and understanding them. This focus grounds the series: We all have family and understand the various pains and strains that those relationships and exceptions generate in life. This also theoretically gives the show ample opportunity to mine and explore new conflicts. But as was seen ten or so years ago, only so many times can Heroes have Peter and Nathan stand at opposite ends of a crisis only to come together at the end, with one of them scarifying themselves, before the audience gets actively angry at the show.

This weekend's Atx Fest hosted a major milestone: A reunion of (almost) the entire cast of "Gilmore Girls," including Alexis Bledel, Lauren Graham, Kelly Bishop, Scott Patterson, Jared Padalecki, Milo Ventimiglia, Danny Strong, Jackson Douglas, Matt Czuchry, Keiko Agena, Liza Weil, Liz Torres, Sean Gunn, and Yanic Truesdale. (Sadly, Edward Herrmann, who played Grandpa Richard Gilmore, passed away last year. Melissa McCarthy, meanwhile, is off being an international superstar.) The beloved WB series will celebrate its 15th anniversary this year, and since a new generation of fans is now discovering the show on Netflix, festival organizers thought it was high time to get the Stars Hollow gang back together for some reminiscing.

The What?: It’s a column on Star Wars news and rumors and therefore contains Spoilers and Speculation.

Ever since it was announced that Luke Skywalker would be back for Star Wars: Episode VII, people have speculated about what the character would be like this time around. We know that 30 years have past since the conclusion of Return of The Jedi. We also know that Luke had adopted a bit of a darker edge in that film, and many folks wondered if we might see him go full Sith this time around. After all, the character went through quite a lot in the original trilogy, and it would make for some interesting storytelling to see him fall to the dark side.
Now, according to Making Star Wars, we may have our first glimpse of how Luke may be portrayed this time around.

What does Nashville have against social media? Last night’s show played a bit like one of those PSAs I used to see in school about the evils of drugs, except in this case, the drug was Twitter (or “the Twitters,” as Deacon calls it) and some mysterious place where you put up your “profile.” All this social media chatter came about because Rayna was doing a “live-stream”, i.e., the only form of social media she finds acceptable. (Technically, is a live-stream even considered social media? It’s not like she did a Reddit chat.) So we have Luke’s son Colt (A+ name, show) under suspicion, not because of his backwards animal-print baseball cap, his oversize red headphones, or his love of “Skillrex,” “Edm,” and “sick beats,” but because he has 20,000 followers of his “profile.” (And further proof that Luke may not be the great guy he pretends to be?...

Fox‘s American Idol may be going back to its roots, betting on a hot music producer who is virtually unknown to the public as a judge — just as it did with Simon Cowell in 2002. The network is in negotiations with Dr. Luke (real name Lukasz Gottwald) to join the judging panel of the singing competition for its upcoming 13th season. Earlier this month, Fox chairman Kevin Reilly confirmed that the network had had discussions with all rumored judge candidates, a list that included Dr. Luke and will.i.am. The latter’s name started picking up steam in the past couple of weeks, though I hear talks between him and Fox never got serious. Meanwhile, hope is that Dr. Luke, who was tipped for the job by Us Magazine earlier today, will close a deal to join returning judges Keith Urban and Jennifer Lopez, whose signing has yet to be officially announced.
