Emmanuel Berl was born on August 2, 1892 in Le Vésinet, Yvelines, France. He was a writer, known for L'affaire Manet (1951) and Portrait souvenir (1960). He was married to Mireille, Jacqueline Bordes and Suzanne Muzard. He died on September 21, 1976 in Paris, France.
Journalist and author, thru his maternal family , he was related to Henri Bergson, Marcel Proust and Monique Lange. He is considered one of the most perceptive intellectuals of his generation which include Cocteau and Malraux.
