Back in 1986, Caroline Williams played one of my all-time favorite horror final girls, “Stretch” in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2. She has followed that with several more horror movie appearances, taking roles in the likes of Leprechaun 3, Blind, and the recent Nicolas Cage Dracula movie Renfield, among many others. Now The Horror Collective has announced that they’ll be bringing us a Christmas-set (and 80s-set) slasher called He Sees You When You’re Sleeping this holiday season, and Williams is in the cast of that movie as well!
Directed by Charlie Steeds, who is also producing the film with Tom Malloy under his Trick Candle Productions banner, He Sees You When You’re Sleeping has the following synopsis: A young man’s Christmas homecoming turns into a nightmare as a killer in a Santa suit gruesomely picks off his estranged, wealthy family for their fortune.

Welcome to this review of this past Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, right here on Nerdly. Let’s see what went down on this week’s show!
Match #1: #DIY def. The Creed Brothers The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Despite dominating during their time in Nxt, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa have never had a match at WrestleMania, and this seemingly spurned them to leave it all on the line. Brutus and Julius Creed wowed the WWE Universe, especially when Julius lifted from his knees into a standing vertical suplex, showcasing his raw strength. The Creed Brothers continued their punishing attack, sending Ciampa through the announce table area and leaving Pat McAfee speechless. Julius and Brutus caught their opponents with tandem ankle locks, but Ciampa and Gargano countered into a Sicilian Stretch and Gargano Escape. Gargano scored the pinfall after both teams went back-and-forth with pin attempts.

Which do you prefer when it comes to crazy, maniacal, downright dirty and savage families looking to chop up some grade-a human flesh? I guess, it all comes down to personal preference, but isn’t preference drawing a fine line between comparing and downgrading the other? Well, you’re in luck, because another horror movie rip-off is in tow, and this time it brings the flesh by the pound, or pounds? I think it’s the latter. Today, we’re going to be discussing, a little bit of comparing, and see who claims victor, while the other takes the road less traveled in 2003’s Rob Zombie’s House of 1000 Corpses (watch it Here), and Tobe Hooper’s 1986 follow-up in the Leatherface mythos, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 (watch it Here). Both are delightful, both are cult classics, ad both stack up well against each other. But who takes the cake,...

Team17’s ‘80s black comedy slasher adventure Killer Frequency has hit the airwaves today, letting players come as close to playing as Stretch in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 as they can get (for now). Accompanying the launch is the customary launch trailer that sets the mood immediately as the serial killer known as The Whistling Man makes his presence known.
Set in a Midwestern US town, Killer Frequency follows Forrest Nash, a washed-up DJ and presenter of the ‘The Scream’ late night show. You’ve just started your shift when someone calls in with a horrifying discovery. What follows sees you meeting with a variety of eccentric small-town personalities including potential victims and suspects as you try to help each of your callers survive the night.
It won’t be easy, as your interactions with callers to the show could help prevent the callers’ grisly fates, or seal them for The Whistling Man.

With the release of Renfield, Nicolas Cage gets to fulfill one of his bucket list roles. He stated that the three roles he wanted to play eventually were Superman, Captain Nemo, and Dracula. He missed his chance for Superman but has at least knocked Dracula off his list. Now that the film has been released, we can see all the fun references to the Dracula lore. What Renfield Easter Eggs did you miss?
WArning!!!! There will be spoilers for Renfield ahead!
Dracula 1931 Footage
Director Chris McKay wanted to do everything he could to tie this film back to the original 1931 Dracula film starring Bela Lugosi. The font and style of the Renfield poster mimics that of the original poster. In the film, we see scenes from the original film recreated using the modern actors portraying the characters. Not only are the moments recreated, but the actors...

Fox’s Next Level Chef is gearing up to crown its second winner as the remaining nine chefs head into the 10th episode. These three chefs stand out as being the likely champs of the season.
Nuri ‘Stretch’ Muhammad
Team Nyesha Arrington’s Nuri Muhammad, a 22-year-old Maryland-based professional chef, explained he received his nickname “Stretch” from another cook due to his over 6-foot frame. The premiere episode also included an edit with him back home playing with his dog as the chef shared his history with cooking.
Nuri described himself as a professional chef who does in-home private events, catering, and parties. At the young age of 22, he’s already secured celebrity clients, including NFL players. While filming, the Maryland native had a daughter on the way and hoped to win the show so he could give her an “amazing life.”

Universal’s Dracula comedy Renfield, starring Nicolas Cage as Dracula and Nicholas Hoult as his titular lackey, is set to reach theatres next week, on April 14th, and while the primary draw is the chance to see Cage play Dracula, the movie also includes a couple special treats for fans of the horror genre. Among the cast members are Caroline Williams, best known for playing the heroine Stretch in 1986’s The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, and William Ragsdale, who previously crossed paths with vampires in 1985’s Fright Night and the 1988 sequel Fright Night Part 2. Williams is playing a character named Vanessa, while Ragsdale takes on the role of Older Priest. Social media images of these ’80s horror icons in their Renfield roles can be seen at the bottom of this article.

Fox’s Next Level Chef Season 2 Episode 7 included a series first. Additionally, Chef Richard Blais declared that one professional chef created “one of the best dishes” in the show’s history.
‘Next Level Chef’ Season 2 included a series first
In Next Level Chef Season 2 Episode 7, the chefs were challenged to make dishes using a fish the teams fileted. However, in a series first, the platform wouldn’t stop as it descended from the top floor to the basement, forcing the competitors to grab their protein quickly.
Chef Gordon Ramsey’s group occupied the top floor thanks to Preston Nguyen’s gnocchi, and they decided on the salmon. California-based chef Tucker Ricchio is also a professional butcher and took the lead on fileting on the fish. Not wanting to play it safe, Preston tried to take risks with his flavors, but Ramsey expressed concern that the young chef overcomplicated the dish.

With the weather getting cooler (at least in some parts of the country) and Halloween just around the corner, it’s beginning to feel a little more like fall. And what’s better than grabbing a cup of cider, cuddling underneath your favorite blanket and watching hours and hours of movies? You’re right, nothing.
This month, HBO has a great mixture of new movies, from this summer’s sleeper hit “Elvis” to earlier-this-year’s sci-fi disaster movie “Moonfall” to a true gem of 1980s cinema, and some great spooky season starter movies.
Below you’ll find some of the very best new movies streaming on HBO Max this month.

Preschool fare and short-form docs ruled the roost at this year’s MIFA TV pitch session, with more than half the projects boasting episodes running under eight minutes in length, and nearly just as many titles aimed at the under-five crowd.
Of the nine projects pitched, the preschool series “Yukon: The Space Botanist” (pictured) received the most vocal reception, drawing hearty laughs from a room full of buyers and commissioning editors at least three decades older than the show’s intended audience. Produced by Norway’s Imaginær Film, the 3D animated series gives computer graphics a tactile polish, featuring characters surfaced to resemble plastic figurines and background full of physical elements scanned in.
Described as “three good friends floating around in their own corner of the universe,” the show follows Yukon, a human botanist travelling the galaxy to collect rare seeds; Stretch, a fast-talking earthworm turned problem solver; and Bo,...
