Pat Shahabian is a first generation Armenian-American Director of Photography who specializes in narrative, commercial and television productions.
A lifelong photographer, Pat was encouraged to pursue cinematography while working on Showtime's Years of Living Dangerously, inspired by veteran cinematographer's Wolfgang Held and Maryse Alberti. Pat went on to serve as camera operator on shows for Travel Channel, Comedy Central, Vice on HBO, First We Feast and others before eventually lensing his own projects.
Recently, Pat served as the Director of Photography for Larry Wilmore's late-night series Wilmore, a multi-camera special covering a wide range of social issues over 11 episodes. He has also recently contributed additional Cinematography to the Hulu documentary series Sasquatch and Netflix documentary feature Bob Ross: Happy Accidents, Betrayal & Greed.
