Kyle Brandt and Jason McCourty hosted Good Morning Football one last time from the NYC studio before the show’s move to LA later this year.
Things got emotional at the end of the broadcast when Brandt went outside to the streets, where the cast had hosted many segments over the years. Brandt recalled the first episode, which aired on August 1, 2016, in which he said it was an “honor” and “privilege” to be at the Gmfb table in NYC.
“I also remember at that time I had 18 months guaranteed on my contract, and my wife said, ‘Well, if the show is terrible, at least we have 18 months to figure out how to move back to LA,'” Brandt said. “And 18 months in New York City became eight years, it became over 1,800 episodes and it became home at the breakfast table.”

“Today is my last day in the New York City Good Morning Football studios,” Schrager said on Friday’s show.
Schrager reminded viewers that Gmfb started on 59th Street and then moved to Times Square before moving to lower Manhattan “for the last several seasons,” adding, “Each studio holds a place in my heart and has a real place in this show’s history.”
Embassy Row’s production started on the NFL Network in 2016 and will move to LA later this year. Co-host Jamie Erdahl announced earlier this week she was moving to California with the show, but it is unclear which of the other co-hosts will make the move.

“Good Morning Football” is going for extra yards.
The NFL, which has aired the A.M. program since 2016 on its own NFL Network, plans to create a new two-hour “extension series” that will be carried by multiple partners in syndication. Sony Pictures Television will distribute the program, which will have a new title. Meanwhile, the original “Good Morning Football” will go on hiatus for the summer starting March 29 and will relaunch by preseason.
“Good Morning Football” was the first New York based program to run on NFL Network and replaced the Los Angeles studio program “NFL Am.” The current program will soon originate from a new complex in Inglewood, Calif., where the league will have access to five different soundstages and a podcast studio for its various media produtions.

Shining Vale star Mira Sorvino was the favorite heading into Tuesday’s (January 2) Celebrity Jeopardy! semi-finals, but it was Abbott Elementary‘s Lisa Ann Walter who made an impressive comeback to take home the win. The semi-finals saw Sorvino facing off against Walter and Ghosts star Utkarsh Ambudkar, and it initially looked like Sorvino’s game to lose. She’d previously won her first game against CSI: Miami actor Adam Rodriguez and NFL Network host Peter Schrager, which aired just a day after she was eliminated from Dancing With the Stars. Jeopardy! producer Sarah Whitcomb Foss previously described this episode as “her favorite match of the season,” and it certainly lived up to the billing as all three contestants got out to a hot start, with all three within $300 at the first break. Walter had a slight lead after the Jeopardy! round after finding the first Daily Double, going into...

The “will he or won’t he” appears to be settled — for this season, at least. Rob Gronkowski, the all-timer tight end who won three Super Bowls with Tom Brady and the New England Patriots before retiring after last season, has joined Fox Sports as an NFL analyst.
Amid speculation that he might come back to the league, Gronk and his million-dollar smile instead will debut this week as part of Fox NFL Thursday Pregame Show. He’ll huddle with NFL Hall of Famers Terry Bradshaw, Michael Strahan and Tony Gonzalez and NFL insider Peter Schrager.
