Wally Scott is an Alaska Native (Iñupiaq) television producer based in Los Angeles, California. Scott's roots are in the Indigenous northwest arctic village of Kotzebue, Alaska (Qikiqtagruk). No stranger to the silver screen, the remote area is also home to actor Ray Mala (Eskimo, 1950?). Through humble beginnings Scott set his sights on Hollywood from the small town of 3,500 residents at the age of 7. This vision from his youth has helped Scott traverse the continent, bridging both time and distance between the Arctic Circle and Hollywood again.
Scott broke into the industry after graduating cum laude from High Point University (HPU) in North Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications in 2010, where he focused his time on Media Studies. During his tenure at HPU, Scott also lettered in baseball for the Division 1 HPU Panthers, earning athletic and academic honors when he was recognized as a Millis Scholar-Athlete.
After graduation, Scott launched his career by returning home to Alaska to work as a production assistant on the acclaimed movie Big Miracle and the CGI film Walking with Dinosaurs.
Through the industry relationships Scott developed at home in Alaska, Scott pursued opportunities in New York City, where he worked as an Producer's Assistant and Associate Producer for various production companies.
With an eye for development and expansion, Scott ventured to Seattle, Washington to spearhead efforts toward capitalizing on the reality entertainment industry in the overlooked emerald city. While in Seattle Scott worked as producer for Hoarders (2015-2019).
Now an experienced casting producer, Scott took his talents to Los Angeles, a career-move that has earned Scott the privilege of being recognized as an industry-insider in Los Angeles television entertainment.
Scott continues building his career in the Los Angeles area, focusing on large-scale television production. In his free time Scott hones his skills in manuscript writing, looking to bring his perspective as an Indigenous writer to the silver screen, going full-circle with his Hollywood dreams, from the dirt roads of his arctic home in Alaska.
