At 22, Damian Hurley has made his first feature film, in which his very famous mum is snogged and fondled by her female co-star. He talks about being a nepo baby, finally getting to vote, and coping with the deaths of his father and stepfather

Awful secrets and gorgeous swimwear are present in equal measure in this bizarre drama featuring a lightly-clad Hurley on top telenovela form
After Blackbird, the traumatising spy-thriller bankrolled by and starring Irish dancer Michael Flatley, filmgoers thought they were safe – for a while – from bizarre and eccentrically acted dramas set in luxury paradises. But now, at the age of 22, actor and model Damian Hurley has written and directed a softcore erotic mystery drama set in the Caribbean starring his sexy mum, Elizabeth Hurley … to whom he gives a full-on sapphic love scene with a nightclub singer. As this woman’s head slinks south after a lingering kiss, Mr Hurley brings his camera very candidly indeed to what could only be described as an imminent moment of oral pleasure. We know the phrase Too Much Information … but what about Too Much Content? Too Much Freud? Or just … Too Much?

Actress Georgia Lock reflected on her time on the set of the film Strictly Confidential in her new uInterview.
Directed by Damian Hurley, Strictly Confidential follows a young woman who can’t accept that her best friend killed herself as she journies back to a Caribbean island to investigate her death.
“Honestly, it was an honor,” she told uInterview founder Erik Meers of working with Hurley. “This film is special to me for a lot of reasons, but I met Damian through this project, and he’s become a very close friend of mine. I’m extremely fond of him.”
“What I love about how he directs is that you can see he is thinking about how beautiful the shot is going to look,” she continued. “He’s considered that. I feel like you could pause this movie anywhere, and it would be a beautiful scene that you could paint.

British actress Elizabeth Hurley shares that she still has a “very annoying mummy rule,” which she makes her 22-year-old son Damian stick to even now, and is about television. The 58-year-old actress shares her son Damian with late former partner Steve Bing.
“I’ve always had what you say is a very annoying mommy rule in the house. We’re never allowed to put the TV on until 6 p.m. That included lockdown! We’ve always stuck to that. So we try to work all day, but at 6, we’ll go into the TV room,” Hurley told People magazine.
Despite having the TV rule, the pair have “had some amazing times watching television together,” reports femalefirst.co.uk.
The actress said: “We really started over lockdown, and I wanted to show Damian a lot of the films that had been part of my growing up. So ’80s and ’90s films...

Prince Harry discussed a great deal of his personal life in Spare. He wrote about his family interactions, his teenage antics, and even his sex life. One story, in which the prince recalled losing his virginity in a field behind a bar, had some unexpected consequences. Following the book’s release, rumors swirled that British actor Elizabeth Hurley was the “older woman” Prince Harry was referencing. She insists that she has never even met the prince.
Elizabeth Hurley insists she did not take Prince Harry’s virginity
Elizabeth Hurley says she did not have sex with Prince Harry. The rumors that she slept with the prince started months before his book was released. The rumors began after Prince Harry discussed losing his V-card to an “older woman” when he was just a teen. For some reason, fans ran with the notion that it was Elizabeth Hurley despite almost no evidence pointing in that direction.

Elizabeth Hurley, best known for her roles in Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery and Serving Sara is making headlines for a particular scene in her latest film, Strictly Confidential, a s-x scene to be specific. “Some secrets are meant to stay buried” says the ad line for “Strictly Confidential.” But you’d need a sizable underground bunker to contain all the effortfully shocking revelations sprung in this very silly sudser, which starts out looking like an erotic thriller-mystery, then descends into a series of flashback-laden explication monologues more apt for “Dynasty” than Agatha Christie.
Damian Hurley’s directorial feature, with famous mum Elizabeth top-billed and producing, provides several hardbodied younger performers opportunity to model clothes and approximate recognizable human emotions on the coastline of tax haven island nation Saint Kitts and Nevis. But what was likely an enjoyable working Caribbean vacation for cast and crew proves somewhat labored for viewers. Nonetheless, watched in the right spirit, with appropriate libations, it could prove quite entertaining … if not in the way presumably intended. Lionsgate is releasing to U.S. theaters, digital and on-demand platforms on April 5.

The final episode of "Star Trek: The Next Generation" — called "All Good Things..." — aired on May 23, 1994. It was an excellent send-off for the show, featuring a complex time-travel story about an eerie spatial phenomenon that gets larger the more it travels back in time. Trekkies could likely have survived for many years on the satisfaction brought to them by "All Good Things..." Unwilling to leave well enough alone, however, Paramount immediately began production on "Star Trek: Generations," the first movie based on "Next Generation." The film opened in theaters on November 18, 1994, just under six months after we last saw the crew of the Enterprise-d. We didn't even get a chance to miss them.
"Generations" is less satisfying than "All Good Things...," as it features a magical temporal nexus that allows Captain Picard (Patrick Stewart) to come face-to-face with Captain Kirk (William Shatner). The film is all about tiresome passing-the-torch moments that it didn't need.

David Carson's 1994 film "Star Trek: Generations" has a farfetched premise, even by Trek's own outlandish standards. It seems there is a mysterious energy ribbon called the Nexus that periodically floats through the galaxy. The Nexus destroys any starships it encounters but also sweeps living beings into its own mysterious pocket dimension. The Nexus' pocket dimension is essentially Heaven, where its victims live out their happiest memories. Time also stands still in the Nexus, allowing its inhabitants to remain there eternally.
The physical existence of Heaven, one might think, would be a heady concept for a humanist franchise like "Star Trek." How would the universe react if Heaven was in a physical location one could visit? One might think there would be a mad dash to get there as soon as possible, rapidly depleting the galaxy's population.

This article contains spoilers for the ending of Lost.
Hiroyuki Sanada, star and producer of FX’s excellent miniseries Shōgun, is one of the most successful Japanese actors working in Hollywood today. English-speaking audiences have to come to know and appreciate the Tokyo-born performer through his roles in films such as The Last Samurai, Speed Racer, The Wolverine, Army of the Dead, and John Wick: Chapter 4.
TV nerds (including yours truly) had an entirely different introduction to Hiroyuki Sanada, however. For us, Sanada’s Western pop culture career begins with the final season of classic ABC drama Lost.
Despite what you may have heard about its ending Lost is one of the best genre series to ever grace network television. It also, admittedly, wasn’t perfect. And its simultaneously ingenious and infuriating use of Sanada in its sixth and final season is a perfect microcosm of the show overall.

In the "Star Trek: The Next Generation" episode "The Neutral Zone", the U.S.S. Enterprise-d encounters a seemingly abandoned cryo-pod floating out in the galaxy. On board are three humans, frozen since the 20th century. When they are thawed, Captain Picard (Patrick Stewart) takes a Roddenberrian opportunity to lecture them, explaining that their outmoded ideas about capitalism and selfishness are dead in the 24th century. Picard's dialogue is partly utopian but mostly condescending, meant more for TV viewers in 1988 than directed toward his scene partners.
The episode's B-plot involved a visit to the titular Neutral Zone between Federation space and the Romulan Star Empire. There, the Enterprise investigates the destruction of a remote outpost, perhaps the result of Romulan malfeasance. "The Neutral Zone" was the first time Trekkies had seen Romulans since the original series, re-establishing them as a major threat in the galaxy. It also set up the...

In the "Star Trek: The Next Generation" episode "The Royale", the Enterprise encounters a mysterious, uninhabited planet that houses a small bubble of breathable air. When Commander Riker (Jonathan Frakes), Lieutenant Commander Data (Brent Spiner), and Lieutenant Worf (Michael Dorn) beam down to investigate, they astonishingly find a 20th-century-era hotel/casino called The Royale, populated by people who don't seem to know they're the only humans located on a distant world.

Hurley recently posted a flashback video of herself in an infinity pool, a spectacular view of the ocean and mountains behind her. In the clip, set to “Lujon” by Henry Mancini, Hurley wears a bright yellow bikini and smiles at the camera as she puts her hair up in a bun.
She captioned the video, “A month ago…. really??? Now huddled in front of the fire in a fleece onesie .”

For such a great show, it's remarkable how many times "Star Trek: The Next Generation" almost didn't get made. Read any behind-the-scenes story from the making of the show and you'll hear about chaos, power struggles, budget restrictions, and moments that almost blew up the entire project. William Shatner's 2014 film "Chaos on the Bridge" candidly documented the best, worst, and wildest stories from the making of the show, setting the record straight on decades-old gossip and giving actors, writers, and producers a chance to explain exactly what the hell was going on at Paramount from 1987 to 1994.
Hilariously, "Chaos on the Bridge" includes an entire section about situations in which legendary actor Patrick Stewart almost got fired. It's impossible to imagine "Star Trek" without its stoic genius Captain Picard, but apparently tensions on set led to at least one instance in which the actor ended up called to task by...

Chad Hurley is making another move in the online video market. The entrepreneur who co-founded YouTube alongside Steve Chen and Jawed Karim has raised a seed round for EyeTell, a startup that will produce AI-generated video scripts.
The Information first shared the news about the seed round, which was led by A-Star Capital. The venture fund Sv Angel also participated. The size of the round was not disclosed.
EyeTell is one of several companies that has raised funding for a generative AI business in 2023. Hurley’s take on trendy technology will be built using preexisting AI models, according to The Information. The startup will derive its scripts from text prompts in order to inspire creators and make the video production process more efficient. EyeTell will also include audio recording tools and AI-generated video content.

Matt Smith (Last Night in Soho) and Morfydd Clark (Saint Maud) star in the supernatural horror film Starve Acre, which is coming our way from BAFTA-nominated Apostasy creator Daniel Kokotajlo. We don’t know exactly when the movie is going to be released, but The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Starve Acre just secured multiple distribution deals. Brainstorm Media will be releasing the film in North America, while BFI Distribution will be bringing it to the U.K. and Ireland. The list of deals continues, with other distributors including X Verleih (Germany and Switzerland), Blitz (Ex-Yugoslavia), Galapagos (Poland), Front Row (Middle East), Klockworx (Japan), and Terry Steiner (Airlines).

With great success comes great expectation, and I doubt that Daniel Kokotajlo’s Starve Acre will quite live up to the favorable notices of his first feature, the BAFTA-nominated Apostasy. The story, which has been adapted from a novel by Andrew Michael Hurley, concerns Richard (Matt Smith) and Juliette Willoughby (Morfydd Clark), who have recently moved from the city to the comparatively desolate Yorkshire Dales. At the village fair, their son Owen, who has complained of hearing the voice and whistles of a sprite named Jack Grey, blinds a horse with a sharp stick and is duly sent to a psychiatric hospital. Shortly after his consultation, which includes a nightmarish brain scan, he dies suddenly at the family home, paralyzing Richard and Juliette and further enlivening the spirit that so tormented him.
It is here the film takes its boldest, most bewildering turn. After Owen’s death, Richard commits himself...

Spoilers for "Star Trek: Lower Decks" follow.
Season 4 of "Star Trek: Lower Decks" has featured a mysterious ship destroying ships belonging to every alien race in the Alpha Quadrant, from Klingons to Romulans — or has it? The latest episode, "A Few Badgeys More," revealed the ships are actually being disabled and towed away (while also clearing our suspect list). However, the episode's cold opening gave us yet another scene of a ship ambush. This one belonged to an alien race we haven't seen in "Star Trek" since "The Next Generation" — the Bynars.
They're a demure, purple-skinned, and genderless race. Their name is also a reference to "binary code." The Bynars operate in pairs, finishing each others' sentences when they speak English. Their preferred mode of communication, though, is an unintelligible (to human ears) high-pitched cooing that sounds like words being filtered through a fast-forward button.
Why do the Bynars function this way?...

Eleven years after Space Shuttle Endeavour made its 12-mile journey across the streets of Los Angeles, two huge solid rocket motors (SRMs) arrived Wednesday at the California Science Center, following a trek from the Mojave Air and Space port where they were being stored.
Crowds of schoolchildren, residents and guests — cheering and chanting “Shuttle! Shuttle!” —lined the Inglewood, Calif. streets for its arrival ceremony.
The California Science Center is constructing a new 20-story Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center that will be the permanent home for Endeavour. The shuttle will be displayed in liftoff position with the SRMs, each measuring 116 feet in length; a pair of solid rocket roosters (SRBs); and a 65,000-pound external fuel tank.
Donated by aerospace and defense technology company Northrop Grumman, the SRMs are the final elements to arrive at the Science Center. They will be on display on the grounds for the next few weeks,...

Between the bongo drums and saxophone, the guy hawking buttons featuring a shirtless Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (“Fit to Be President!”), the men darting around in dark suits and sunglasses (stand-ins for the Secret Service detail Kennedy has still not received), the throngs of jubilant supporters, and the giant tour buses bearing the candidate’s grinning countenance, the entire spectacle would have made a convenient diversion for anyone planning an elaborate heist of the Declaration of Independence.
Unfortunately, Philadelphia’s National Constitution Center was selected for a different reason: to serve as a corny metaphor.

In the first season of "Star Trek: The Next Generation," the chief medical officer on board the U.S.S. Enterprise-d was Dr. Beverly Crusher (Gates McFadden), a fearlessly moral, mature character who was already at the peak of her professional career. Dr. Crusher was a great character as she was always eager to speak her mind and always knew where she stood on any ethical issues. Unlike many other characters on the show, who were still discovering their humanity, their career tracks, or their identity, Dr. Crusher had already arrived, as it were. She was one of the few "adults" on the show.
She was also hated by one of the "Next Generation" producers, Maurice Hurley. As Trekkies likely know, the first season of "Next Generation" was a tumultuous time behind the scenes, with show creator Gene Roddenberry, his personal lawyer Leonard Maizlish, and multiple other showrunners and producers...

In the expansive "Star Trek" universe, some of its brightest stars embarked on unforeseen journeys, abruptly departing the franchise to both the dismay and intrigue of fandom.
Why didn't Kirstie Alley return as the beloved Lt. Saavik? What prompted Jeffrey Hunter to relinquish the role of Captain Pike? Who ejected Gates McFadden's Dr. Crusher from the airlock? How come Diana Muldaur, her replacement, endured only a single season? Why did Wil Wheaton part ways with Wesley Crusher? And why was Grace Lee Whitney, as Yeoman Janice Rand, dropped from the cast even before the original series premiered in 1966?
These departures stemmed from a myriad of forces: financial constraints, contract negotiations, miscasting, yearnings for new horizons or strange new opportunities, life-altering events, creative and personal conflicts, or a blend of these influences. Most were unexpected and frequently controversial. Whether these exits bolstered or hindered the franchise, the judgment is yours,...

Nearly a year has gone by since we learned that Elizabeth Hurley (Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery) had signed on to star in Piper, a new horror film from director Anthony Waller. Now The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that the movie is set to have its world premiere at FrightFest this Sunday, August 27th – and ahead of the premiere, a trailer for Piper has arrived online! You can check it out in the embed above.
Back in 1995, director Waller made an impressive breakthrough with the thriller Mute Witness… then quickly squandered the good will he had earned with that movie by following it up with An American Werewolf in Paris. Waller has made a couple movies since the Paris debacle – the 2000 Bill Pullman thriller The Guilty, the 2009 sci-fi horror film 9 Miles Down – and here’s hoping that Piper will earn him some positive attention again.

The last two decades have seen a swath of reality dating shows sweep on — and sometimes off — TV screens, with series like The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, Married at First Sight, Love Island, Are You the One?, FBoy Island and 90-Day Fiancé garnering notable and even rabid followings.
But much of that programming, despite ongoing efforts to racially diversify casting, has largely reflected one type of relationship: straight couples. Of course, there’s also been a handful of series — Logo TV’s Finding Prince Charming, Bravo’s Boy Meets Boys, Max’s 12 Dates of Christmas and one entire season of Are You the One? — that have featured either entirely gay or a notable number of LGBTQ contestants.
But mostly queer people are sprinkled in if they’re present at all (think Dating Around, Ex on the Beach, Bachelor in Paradise and The One That Got Away), a piece of a larger...

Jon Bon Jovi on Son Jake Bongiovi and Millie Bobby Brown's Engagement: "I Don't Know If Age Matters"
Jon Bon Jovi knows a thing or two about successful marriages, as he's been married to his wife and high school sweetheart, Dorothea Hurley, for over 30 years. As someone with so much experience with love, the world is understandably curious about how he feels about his 20-year-old son Jake Bongiovi's recent engagement to 19-year-old Millie Bobby Brown after just under two years of dating.
On May 2, Bon Jovi spoke with Andy Cohen on SiriusXM's "Andy Cohen Live" about that very thing. For starters, he's no stranger to his kids getting engaged. He told Cohen that Bongiovi's April engagement marks "the latest" of his children to make the major life decision. "I got three of my four," he said. Besides Bongiovi, Bon Jovi shares three more children - Stephanie (30), Jesse (28), and Romeo Bongiovi (19) - with Hurley.
Regarding the criticism that Bongiovi and Brown are both too young to get married,...

The ABC drama Lost kept fans and critics hooked for six seasons. It wasn’t always positive. Not everyone was satisfied with the show’s answers to its own mysteries, but they kept watching to the end and many were. One development that did not go over well was the characters of Nikki and Paolo.

On March 28, 2007, Lost listened to fans and killed off Nikki and Paolo. Ironically, “Expose” turned out to be the best Nikki and Paolo episode. Here’s what happened:
The introduction of Nikki and Paolo on ‘Lost’
Lost was about the survivors of a plane crash on a mysterious island. The plane already included a large ensemble cast of survivors. Each week, Lost would focus on a different character and flash back to their lives before the island, informing some of the action on the island.

Back in the ’80s and ’90s, no one in the music industry could compete with Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora’s songwriting skills. The duo produced dozens of major hits that still get air time on the radio decades later. However, even some of the band’s biggest fans don’t know that an old high school buddy inspired this number-one song.

We all had big dreams as teenagers and often even bigger hearts. In an interview with American Songwriter in the early ’90s, Bon Jovi recalled writing “Livin’ on a Prayer” about his friend’s relationship. “‘Prayer’ is about a guy and his wife who got married as soon as they got out of high school,” Bon Jovi explained.

“Nobody can tell ya there’s only one song worth singing.”
Despite being first released in 1969, Mama Cass Eliot’s classic single “Make Your Own Kind of Music” keeps making waves in modern pop culture. The latest example of the youths discovering The Mama & The Papas’ songstress’s ode to self care comes from (where else?) Tik Tok.
In late February, users on the sound-centric social media app uncovered a clip from the 2022 film The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent that featured Cass’s song. In the movie, Nicolas Cage plays a fictionalized version of himself who accepts a $1 million payday to head to Mallorca and hang out with billionaire playboy Javi Gutierrez, played by The Last of Us star and the internet’s current best friend Pedro Pascal.

Hugh Grant laughed about his infamous 1995 sex scandal with the hosts of US talk show The View on Thursday (16 March).
Grant was arrested by Los Angeles police for participating in “lewd conduct” in a public place with a sex worker named Divine Brown. He was in a long-term relationship with actor/model Liz Hurley at the time.
On The View, host Sunny Hostin asked the 62-year-old actor about his campaigns against the British tabloid press.
“Everyone thinks, ‘Oh, well he’s just bitter because he got arrested with a hooker in 1995,’” Grant said to riotous laughter from the hosts and studio audience.
Hostin’s co-host Whoopi Goldberg interjected: “But you know what, really, who hasn’t?”
The actor then continued: “But actually it had nothing to do with that because that was never uncovered by tabloids. It was that the bloody police gave everyone the information. It was nothing to do with that.

The third season of "Star Trek: Picard" is set to debut on Paramount+ on February 16, and many recognizable characters from "Star Trek: The Next Generation" will be returning. LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn, Marina Sirtis, Jonathan Frakes, and Gates McFadden will reprise their NextGen roles, while Brent Spiner will be playing Lore, Data's evil android twin. Additionally, Daniel Davis will also come back as Moriarity, the sentient holodeck version of Sherlock Holmes' nemesis. There is no word as to the return of other main cast members Wil Wheaton, Diana Muldaur, or Denise Crosby, but seeing as "Picard" is currently rolling hard with its nostalgia, there's every reason to believe one or all of them will also appear.
The characters, of course, are all older, wiser, and in different places in their lives. Most dramatically, as seen in previews, Dr. Crusher (McFadden) appears to have moved from medicine into vigilantism. She is seen wielding weapons,...
