Ever since Hartley Sawyer’s Ralph Dibny debuted on The Flash back in season 4, fans knew he was destined to meet his wife and partner in crime-solving on the show at some point. Season 5 ended with a tease that the future Mrs. Dibny was on the way and now, after Ralph has spent all season looking for her as part of a missing person’s case, Sue Dearborn is making her debut, in the suitably-titled “A Girl Named Sue.”
Ahead of the episode’s arrival next week, you can now catch your first look at Natalie Dreyfuss as Sue in the gallery below. “A Girl Named Sue” will also introduce another key character, though. Namely, Eva McCulloch, the gender-flipped second Mirror Master, who was teased in the midseason premiere, as played by Efrat Dor. The Devil went down to… Earth-666, when Lucifer Morningstar popped up during Part 3 of the Arrowverse‘s “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover event. To those who were legit surprised on Tuesday night, the cameo was one Hell of a fun moment, as Legends of Tomorrow‘s John Constantine asked his old friend for a favor to help Arrow‘s John Diggle and Mia Smoak-Queen make a freshly resurrected Oliver Queen as right as rain.
Some Arrowverse fans, however, had gotten wind of the unexpected crossover cameo when a Vancouver-based “autograph hound” spotted Lucifer star Tom Ellis filming with Matt Ryan,...

“Crisis on Infinite Earths” is just two weeks away from arriving at last. And, following on from last week’s release of images from Parts One and Two, The CW has just dropped a boatload of promo photos for the third chapter in the must-see Arrowverse event. Among many other things, the pics tease many of the team-ups we can expect from the crossover – chief among them, the arrival of Cress Williams’ Black Lightning and the return of John Wesley Shipp as Earth-90’s Flash.
Be sure to check them out, along with the plot summary, down below:

A Crisis is coming – specifically, it’s kicking off on December 8th. The crossover we’ve all been waiting for is finally on the horizon and so The CW is rolling out some official synopses for the five episodes that comprise the event, and they give us our clearest feel yet for how the storyline will develop.
This synopsis for “Part Three” of “Crisis on Infinite Earths” confirms that this is the installment which will cross Black Lightning over to the Arrowverse at last, with Tom Cavanagh’s Pariah being the one to transport him over to Earth-1. What’s more, the description settles a mystery fans have been chewing over for a while: which one of his many characters John Wesley Shipp will play in “Crisis.” It’s Earth-90’s Flash, the role he first portrayed back in 1990.

Despite how I personally believe The Flash‘s sixth season hasn’t gotten off to the greatest of starts, there’s still much potential to be tapped – at least in the eyes of this writer. Aside from how “Crisis on Infinite Earths” will change the Arrowverse landscape forever, it’s worth noting how two big bads will menace Central City this year, effectively dividing the season in half.
Although we don’t know what sort of evildoer is coming to town in 2020, it’s been well established that Bloodwork will confound the Star Labs crew in the immediate future. So far, we’ve seen him only in his civilian guise of Ramsey Rosso, but it won’t be long before his monstrous persona takes over.

Although there’s not always a guarantee of it, TV shows will tie into major holidays from time to time. When Smallville was around, the producers confirmed that the network sometimes mandated that Valentine’s Day or Halloween must be observed during a certain season, and I’m instantly reminded of the classic Supernatural episode, “A Very Supernatural Christmas.”
Speaking of Christmas, it seems like the Arrowverse is virtually guaranteed to check off that box each year. Then again, the December holiday often coincides with its midseason finales, so it’s probably often incorporated so that we get the sense of the show unfolding in somewhat real time.
When it comes to The Flash specifically, it’s now looking like Halloween won’t go unnoticed in a few weeks, as the official synopsis for “There Will Be Blood” indicates:

Those of you who’ve read the comic book on which it’s based know of how adapting it in any sense will be a massive undertaking. But considering how this had been originally teased as far back as The Flash‘s pilot episode, I think the producers always hoped to build to such a thing, no matter how great the challenges.

If there’s one thing that’s for certain about the month of May, it’s that The Flash is going to deliver an unforgettable season finale which could leave us talking throughout the summer months. In years prior, we witnessed the beginning of Flashpoint and saw Barry Allen willingly exiling himself to the Speed Force, so odds are we’ll be met with some crazy cliffhanger come next week.
In the meantime, though, the network has served up a bountiful gallery promoting said finale, and it can be viewed below. Aside from letting us know that Team Flash will unite against the persistent threat that’s been Cicada II, the images also preview the next smackdown involving the Scarlet Speedster and Eobard Thawne, who’s now returned to his Reverse-Flash persona.
In my view, the rivalry shared between those two is arguably the greatest the Arrowverse has had to offer.

After tuning in for last night’s episode of The Flash, I must say that I have to hand it to Eobard Thawne. To put it quite succinctly, everything we’ve seen thus far this season has been part of an elaborate plan concocted by him so that he may escape execution in 2049. But depending on how next week’s season finale goes, we could see this show standing alongside Avengers: Endgame so that fans may relentlessly pick apart its time travel logic.
In the meantime, though, the Powers That Be have given us a promo video to chew on, and you can view it at the top of this article. From the look of it, Team Flash will have their hands full because they’ll have to deal with both the Reverse-Flash and Cicada II in the climactic episode. I guess the producers have decided to really up the ante this year.

Despite both Cicadas having been a thorn in the side of the Star Labs crew all season long on The Flash, I’ve found the unfolding situation involving Eobard Thawne and Nora West-Allen to be much more intriguing. Does the incarcerated speedster actually care for her? And exactly what’ll happen when the countdown clock outside of his cell reaches zero?
From the sound of it, we’ll learn the answer to these questions within the next few weeks – and then some. You see, Thawne is slated to return to his dreaded Reverse-Flash persona just in time for the season finale, “Legacy.” And before we discuss this matter any further, give the official synopsis a gander:

Entertaining as the current season of The Flash has thus far proven to be, there’s been something missing: Joe West. Played by Jesse L. Martin, this fine detective has shown himself to be an invaluable ally to the crew at Star Labs, and lent countless heartwarming moments since the pilot episode aired. In other words, he’s every bit as good of a TV cop as he is a TV dad.
Unfortunately, Jesse had to take a leave of absence from the series after injuring his back. As such, his character hasn’t been seen since episode 5×04. But now that the veteran actor has been given ample time to heal, he’ll return just in time for what might end up being March’s biggest Arrowverse showdown.

As you progress through the slideshow, you’ll also notice a couple of behind-the-scenes pics as well. This is because stalwart actor Tom Cavanagh has been given the opportunity to direct, therefore we’re afforded the chance to see him at work behind the camera.

If you’ll recall, the first video circulating ahead of “News Flash” showed Nora in an altered state of mind, looking hellbent on killing her father, that being the Scarlet Speedster himself. And oddly enough, the gallery we have for you today focuses on what appears to be a charity softball game.
So, as you navigate the slideshow found below, be prepared to see a side of Barry Allen we don’t often encounter. If anything, he’s finally living up to the nickname “Slugger” given to him by his late father.

As per usual, the Arrowverse has opened up the DC Universe to a broader audience in the past year by introducing a fresh batch of characters to the mainstream. In the case of The Flash, we’ve met the likes of the Thinker, the Elongated Man and Amunet Black, to name but a few of the more memorable ones. And that’s what’s cool about the TV side of things: We get to meet all kinds of heroes and villains that the movies will likely never have the time to get around to presenting.
Speaking of Amunet, we’ll be talking about her quite a bit today. That’s because she features prominently in the images promoting May 8’s episode, “Harry and the Harrisons,” which is also set to see the return of the Council of Wells, something I found to be the campiest thing season 4 has thus far yielded.

Well, as it turns out, Smith has booked a return trip to Central City that just so happens to coincide with the end of the Scarlet Speedster’s latest hiatus (I know, we’re all getting tired of the breaks). And in that, we know not only to expect for him and Jason Mewes to get in front of the camera for a brief period, but also some memorable guest appearances to be made by heroes and villains as well.

Kevin Smith is returning to The Flash to helm another episode. The Clerks director has been occasionally working on The CW drama since season 2 and his next job on the show will be the upcoming seventeenth episode of season 4.
To tease his return, Smith took to Twitter this week to share the front page of the script. The photo reveals that the installment is scripted by Lauren Certo and Kristen Kim, but the title is only listed as “Tba.” Smith joked about the lack of a moniker in his caption, too, saying: “Back to work on my third episode of @CW_The Flash. We’ve got the metahuman cuffs but we still need a title…”
Check it out in the gallery down below, along with some pics from next week’s installment:

In the vigilante justice system, metahuman-related offenses are considered especially heinous. In Central City, the dedicated geeks who investigate these vicious felonies are members of an elite squad known as Team Flash. These are their stories.
With that introduction, you can probably guess that more than a few Law & Order parallels are being drawn here. As you know, The Flash‘s midseason finale left us on one of the most shocking cliffhangers in recent memory. In short, the Thinker framed Barry Allen for murder by placing his recently discarded body in the Scarlet Speedster’s apartment, complete with knife wound – but not before transferring his consciousness into the newly introduced Brainstorm. As someone who’s been a devoted viewer of The Flash ever since the pilot episode first aired, it pained me to see the series turn into a flat-out comedy with its fourth season. But after weeks of cringing, I was happy to see the show recapture its former glory with the compelling episode that was “Therefore I Am,” before astonishing us all when participating in the Crisis on Earth-x crossover.
To be honest, there’s no doubt in this writer’s mind that the Thinker played a big part in the resurgence of quality. As actor Neil Sandilands was given more screentime, he chilled us to the bone with his nuanced performance as the calculating Clifford DeVoe, thus presenting Team Flash with a threat unlike anything they’d ever seen.
Still, DeVoe’s declining physical condition presented a problem, with that having been rectified in the closing moments of the midseason finale,...

The Flash‘s midseason finale ended on a whopper of a cliffhanger. Following on from the Thinker’s body swap, Barry Allen came home to find the corpse of Clifford DeVoe in his apartment, set up in such a way to frame the Scarlet Speedster for his murder. As the teaser trailer for the episode revealed, the second half of season 4 will see our hero on trial.
The new synopsis for the installment, fittingly titled “The Trial of the Flash,” gives us a further hint as to what we can expect when The Flash returns to The CW next month. It teases that Barry’s wife and father-in-law Iris and Joe will have to try anything they can to keep him out of jail.

A slew of photos have been released for The Flash's upcoming November 7th episode, "Girls Night Out", and a few of them offer us out first look at Battlestar Galactica's Katee Sackhoff as the villainous Amunet Black a.k.a. Blacksmith, and she looks great! It's like she stepped right out of a David Bowie music video. The episode, which centers on the Bachelor and Bachelorette parties celebrating West and Allen's union, will also include a guest appearance from Arrow's Emily Bett Rickards, whose Felicity will be hitting the town with Iris and Caitlin.
Here's the synopsis that was released for "Girl Night Out":
Katee Sackhoff ("Battlestar Galactica") And Emily Bett Rickards ("Arrow") Guest Star - Having received an ominous threat from her old boss, Amunet (guest star Katee Sackhoff), Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) fears that her past time as Killer Frost may be back to haunt her.

Though the summer hiatus felt like an eternity, we can now breathe easier with the fall season of DC TV being back in full swing. Not only that, but synopses for episodes set to air during week 5 have now surfaced online, including those for Supergirl and The Flash.
First, on Monday, November 6, corrupt businessman Morgan Edge will once again prove to be a thorn in the side of Supergirl and her cohorts. This time, he’s causing headaches for Lena Luthor by saying that she’s responsible of a string of lead poisonings in National City. If you’ll recall, her involvement in taking down the Daxamite invasion in last spring’s finale by building the lead bomb was crucial, but it sounds like he’ll sow enough doubt in Lena to make her second guess those valiant efforts.

Earlier today, The CW released episode descriptions for instalments of Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl which air the week beginning May 8th. With just a handful of chapters left in each series before they wrap up for the year, big things are on the way for our beloved heroes, something which is evident from each of the synopses below.
For starters, we have Supergirl. In “City of Lost Children,” James Olsen’s Guardians will take centre stage as he steps up to help save National City alongside Kara.
When an alien attacks National City, Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and the Deo learn the alien is a Phorian, an otherwise peaceful race with telekinetic powers. Guardian (Mehcad Brooks) gets a lead on the Phorian’s address but instead of finding the culprit, he finds a very scared boy named Marcus (guest star Lonnie Chavis). If photos and an extended trailer weren’t enough to whet your appetite for the midseason finale of The Flash, The CW has now released a full clip ahead of tonight’s episode that sees the return of one of the most prolific men to portray supervillains over the past quarter century.
We are, of course, talking about Mark Hamill, who has played various iterations of both the Joker and the Trickster since the early 1990’s. Since reprising his role as the latter on The Flash, it became quite obvious from the start that this version of Trickster was written more like the Joker, with Hamill obviously using his now infamous character voice that was once exclusive to the Clown Prince of Crime. It’s as if the producers said, “hey, Mark, use your Joker voice when playing Trickster. We doubt a single fan will complain.”

The CW has released a clip from tomorrow night’s episode of The Flash, and it features Dr. Harrison Wells trying to convince Barry Allen, Cisco, and Iris West that the best possible solution to the titular hero no longer having his speed (he was forced to give it to Zoom in order to save Wally West’s life) is to recreate the accident which gave him his abilities.
It looks like Barry is going to take some convincing, but we already know from the promo for next week’s instalment that The Flash ends up saying yes after realizing it’s the only way to save Caitlin.

The CW has released the official descriptions for the episodes of Arrow, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow which will air during the week beginning May 2nd. Surprisingly, they feature some pretty major spoilers for what’s to come, but there will no doubt still be plenty of other twists and turns before each of these show’s respective seasons are over.
Starting with Arrow though, and there’s not much in the way of spoilers or anything of much interest to be perfectly honest. If anything, this instalment sounds a tad unexciting.
