Set in Northern Ireland in the 1990s, it follows a 10-year-old boy who uses his artistic gift and imagination to seek revenge after witnessing the murder of his father.

Red Bull Studios and London-based Featuristic Films have partnered on “Art of the Jump,” a feature documentary about the life and career of Sébastien Foucan, a well-known French athlete.
Directed by James Kermack, the documentary follows Foucan’s humble upbringing in the French suburb of Lisses to sports stardom. Foucan is known for participating in extreme sports such as freerunning and parkour, where he crosses obstacles through the use of running, jumping, climbing and rolling.

UK production company is looking to make as many as 10 films this year.
Bardot and Cold Meat producer Featuristic Films has appointed former Motion Picture Capital production executive Laura Brook as head of film.
The appointment was confirmed this week by Julien Loeffler, managing director at the London-based company which is now looking to expand.
Brook’s appointment follows on from that of former UKTV and Wag Entertainment exec Meredith Coral as Featuristic Films’ head of TV last year.
At Motion Picture Capital Brook worked on projects such as Netflix’s The Titan and Kodachrome with Ed Harris, Elizabeth Olsen and Jason Sudeikis.

The documentary has been acquired in France by Condor Distribution, in Italy by Wanted Cinema, in Spain by Filmin, in Scandinavia by Njutafilms, in Russia by Beat Films, in Switzerland by Rts, and for Ex-Yugoslavia by McF Megacom. Anton, who co-financed and executive produced the film, is handling worldwide sales and is in discussion on closing other key territories.

The film is the second feature from former Screen Star of Tomorrow Harry Michell, whose debut Chubby Funny saw the director nominated for the Most Promising Newcomer Bifa in 2016.
The film is set in an idyllic Yorkshire spa town during its annual literary festival. As the world’s most controversial secularist is set to make an appearance, two hapless evangelicals are tasked with killing him. Harry Melling, Vinette Robinson and Flora Spencer-Longhurst also star.

Exclusive: Knuckledust comes from Euro production collective The Project and Featuristic Films.
Mongol director Sergei Bodrov will serve as executive producer and consultant on English-language UK action-thriller Knuckledust.
The UK-France co-production comes from Featuristic Films and The Project with shoot due to get underway in early 2017 from second-time writer-director James Kermack (Hi-Lo Joe).
The whodunnit, in the process of casting is set in a hyper realistic version of underground London.
Bodrov is also working on his sequel to Oscar-nominated Mongol, which will be a Us-China-Germany co-production.
Featuristic Films and The Project will be in Cannes meeting sellers to finalise representation for their next feature The Sonata, which is due to shoot in December 2016.

European producers collective The Project, which launched at Berlin last year, has added UK production partners and cast to its first production.
Hemlock Grove actress Freya Tingley (Jersey Boys) is attached to star in Andrew Desmond’s supernatural thriller The Sonata, a UK-France-Latvia-Russia co-production, which is due to shoot in Latvia and London at the end of 2016.

Meanwhile, the collective, which comprises A-One Films’ Daniel Goroshko, Ctb’s Sergey Selyanov, former K5 executive Rodolphe Sanzé and producer Laurent Fumeron, has struck an alliance with UK outfit Featuristic Films’ (Hi-Lo Joe) Julien Loeffler and Fabrice Smadja to collaborate on The Project’s slate of English-language projects.
