In a new parody video from How It Should Have Ended and Lego animators Brotherhood Workshop we see Chirrut Imwe show off some pretty impressive martial art skills. Unlike Rogue One, we get to see a lot more of Imwe kicking imperial ass.
How it Should Have Ended says this short initially started out as a two-minute video for the South by Southwest Game Awards this spring, but it was so good they extended it to just over four minutes.
It’s a brilliantly choreographed bit of stop-motion, beginning with something pretty similar to the fight we got in Rogue One before escalating. A lot. You can watch it below:...

Since Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them comes out this week, the people at How It Should Have Ended teamed up with the Brotherhood Workshop and put together this cool 90-second recap of the Harry Potter films thus far using stop-motion Lego work to tell the story. The thing is, it's so quick and specific that it doesn't actually work as a real recap of the franchise for people who haven't seen the movies yet — it only works as a reminder for those who have seen them. But let's face it, pretty much everyone has seen all of these movies by now, especially if you're reading this site.
I enjoyed the Prisoner of Azkaban section, and you've gotta love the Wilhelm scream making a quick cameo during the Voldemort battle.

The team at Brotherhood Workshop is back with another terrific stop-motion Lego video, and this time they went big with it. Taking the famous airport fight scene from Captain America: Civil War as inspiration, they put their own spin on that instant-classic fight and had Iron Man call in his Hulkbuster armor to battle Ant-Man in Giant-Man mode as the rest of the gang watches in awe. Check it out:...

Last month the first Rogue One: A Star Wars Story trailer released and it was pretty amazing. It set fire to the internet, and had fans the world over squealing in delight at the prospects of the first Star Wars standalone film. It's hard to top, but somehow, this Lego shot-for-shot recreation might even be better. Come inside to check it out!
I've said it before and it seems to always be true, Everything, even Star Wars, can be made better with Lego. Case in point, this excellent recreation of the first Rogue One trailer done by The Brotherhood Workshop (who have several other excellent Lego parodies under their belt):
On top of being impressively animated, this remake manages to still retain the epic feel of the trailer, losing very little in the translation. I'm sure a big part of that has to do with the original soundtrack/dialog,...

"Jurassic World" became one of the biggest box office hits ever with the help of Chris Pratt, raptors, and dinos-fighting-dinos goodness.
The only thing that would have made it an even bigger hit? LEGOs.
The new video from Brotherhood Workshop thankfully adds the building blocks to mix, re-telling the film in 90 seconds. You haven't lived until you've seen Chris Pratt, who voiced the lead character in "The Lego Movie," in Lego man form. (Thanks, meta internet!)
The short recreates key moments from the film -- like the shot of Pratt's Raptor Whisperer riding his motorcycle alongside his raptor pals) -- while also delivering a snarky take on some of the film's plot-driving exposition scenes.
If there's a better minute-and-a-half of the day to spend, we don't wanna know about it.

Brotherhood Workshop has released three more amusing stop-motion Lego parody sketches for The Hobbit. The first shows us how things should have gone down when Bilbo revealed himself to Smaug. The second gives us one theory as to why Saruman the White went bad. The third is believed to be a fair criticism of Azog's battle plan that will take place in the upcoming final film in the saga. ...

In most of the scuffles Imperial stormtroopers get into with the Rebel Alliance, they appear to have terrible aim. Pretty much the only time they've showed any type of precision was in the offscreen murders of Luke’s aunt and uncle and the Jawas that picked up R2-D2 and C-3Po — though, many fan theories surmise that Boba Fett actually killed Luke’s adoptive parents. In this video by Brotherhood Workshop (released by Hishe), Obi Wan explains to Luke that Tusken Raiders have much, much worse aim.

Brotherhood Workshop has released a fun new Lego stop motion sketch. This one was inspired by Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, and it's called "Ronan's a Jerk." Here's a short description that came along with the video:
When the going gets rough, Ronan the Accuser orders his minions to commit suicide. If I were them, I would take issue with such an order. What kind of a boss tells you to kill yourself!?! What a jerk!
Yeah, that's not the kind of guy I would want to work for. One of the things I like about these Lego shorts that Brotherhood Workshop creates, is that they have this childlike feel to the stories. They are the kind of stories that I would make up as a kid, and it's cool to see that brought to life. ...

The gang over at How It Should Have Ended teamed up with Brotherhood Workshop to create this funny animated Lego movie short. It’s called "Lego Batman is Jelly," and it shows us just how jealous Batman is after Wyldstyle left him for Emmet in The Lego Movie. As Batman is explaining to Wyldestyle how she could do better, Emmet walks in with a brand new look and attitude. It’s really a fun surprise, so enjoy!

Brotherhood Workshop has created a lot of entertaining stop motion Lego animated shorts that we've enjoyed. Today we have their latest episode, which takes Peter Jackson's The Hobbit movies and condenses the story down to 72 seconds. Like all of the shorts they make, they also include a bit of light humor to make it fun. Here's the caption that came with the video:
For everyone who thinks the Hobbit movies are too long, I offer my own version....33,000ish seconds shorter than Peter Jackson's! Though I do like Peter Jackson's version too :)
I'm one of those guys that doesn't think The Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movies are long enough. I'm glad that Jackson split the Hobbit into three films. It means I just get to spend more time in Middle Earth. ...

The Brotherhood Workshop has released a funny new Harry Potter stop-motion Lego comedy short called "Umbridge's First Date." I absolutely hated this character in the story. I'm not a violent person, but if I went to Hogwarts I would have punched her right in the face. Maybe she wasn't always a loathsome person, though. This short presents an idea as to why Umbridge is the way she is today, and it's "because her first (and only) date, went about as wrong as conceivably possible." You can see more of Brotherhood Workshop's films here.

Those of us who lived through the '80s and '90s may have nostalgia for cassette tapes, but many of you will also remember that they were a complete pain in the ass. For those that don't remember or weren't alive for the experience, tapes occasionally decided to get completely sucked into the gears and mechanisms of the devices that played them, and unless you caught it quickly, were very careful with it, and were handy with a screwdriver, that tape would be destroyed permanently. It's this truth that brings us to the video above: a tribute to Guardians of the Galaxy made out of Lego... that happens to point out that the film has a pretty gaping plot hole when it comes to music technology. As this video by the Brotherhood Workshop points out, it is at least a little hard to believe that the "Awesome Mix Vol.

Brotherhood Workshop is back with another cool stop-motion animated short film for you to enjoy! They created a hilarious Guardians of the Galaxy comedy sketch that pokes fun at Star-Lord's mix tape, which played such a huge role in making the film as amazing as it was. Here's the caption that came along with the video:
Star-Lord's most prized possession is a mix tape left to him by his mother. But after playing the tape every day for over 20 years, the quality might have degraded....just a little....

Here's a humorous stop-motion animated Star Wars Lego short that shows us the outcome of one of several "what if" moments. If R2-D2 and C3PO were blown away when they left Princess Leia's ship at the beginning of the movie, there would have been no movie! Luke would have never got the message from Leia regarding Obi-Wan Kenobi. Luckily the Imperial gunners weren't in the mood to blow something up for fun — I, on the other hand, totally would have blown up the escape pod. The video was created by Brotherhood Workshop, and this is the note that came along with it.
In a desperate move, R2-D2 and C3PO flee from Princess Leia's besieged vessel in an escape pod. Unfortunately, a few Imperial gunners have learned to think for themselves.
