MCU has quite a slate of movies coming up, even though Marvel Studios has hit a rough patch with the last couple of projects. There have been talks about releasing fewer projects, as fans are definitely becoming tired of shows and movies of lower quality; still, if one character always managed to drag people to movies, it’s Spider-Man, by far the most profitable Marvel franchise, no matter the product you’re looking at.
Several months ago it was confirmed that ‘Spider-Man 4’ is in active development, so far we don’t know much about the movie except for a few confirmed cast members.
Tom Holland confirmed recently that he will always return to reprise his role as the web-slinger in the MCU since he owes his career to the franchise. He also confirmed that he has much more creative input now and that he needs to conserve the legacy...

The MCU has a lineup of upcoming movies, despite recent bumps in the road for Marvel Studios. Discussions about reducing the number of projects have arisen, reflecting fan fatigue with lower-quality content. However, Spider-Man remains a consistent draw, making it the most profitable Marvel franchise regardless of the medium.
Several months ago, ‘Spider-Man 4’ was confirmed to be in active development. While details are scarce, a few cast members have been confirmed.
Tom Holland recently confirmed that he’s committed to returning as the web-slinger in the MCU, acknowledging the franchise as the foundation of his career. He also mentioned having more creative input now and emphasized the importance of preserving the legacy established with ‘No Way Home.’

If you're an Amazing Spider-Man reader, then you'll know that Ned Leeds and Hobgoblin have a complicated history. While Roderick Kingsley is the true villain behind the villain's mask, Ned was once brainwashed into suiting up and has caused a lot of problems for Spidey over the years.
Now the McU's Ned no longer remembers Peter Parker, it's possible Marvel Studios could find a way to make it so that their version of the character also suits up as Hobgoblin.
Concept art has confirmed the idea was very briefly considered for Spider-Man: No Way Home, but how does Jacob Batalon feel about it?
"Honestly, I'm not sure," he admitted in an interview with Cbr. "Again, we may have talked about things, for sure, but I don't know if it would've really led to anything serious about being a villain, or anything like that."
The odds of this happening seem slim,...

Though we're still waiting on an official announcement, we know plans are in place for a fourth Spider-Man movie, with stars Tom Holland and Zendaya set to reprise their respective roles.
After appearing in the previous three movies and playing quite an integral role in No Way Home, one would assume Peter Parker's pal Ned Leeds will also factor into the story, but actor Jacob Batalon says he's still waiting on the call.
"I mean, I would hope so," The Tarot star told The Direct when asked if he's set to return for the untitled No Way Home follow-up. "I think just with anyone who's worked for Marvel knows that you kind of just like wait for a call. Maybe it does [happen], maybe it doesn't. In addition to his iconic role in the space saga Star Wars, Hollywood star Mark Hamill is renowned for his prolific voice-acting career. Over the decades, he’s voiced multiple characters across various shows and movies, most notably being the DC villain Joker in Batman: The Animated Series.
Hamill further delved into DC territory with his portrayal of Trickster in the live-action series The Flash. And his talent transcended beyond DC, as he also took on the roles of two underrated Marvel villains in the animated Spider-Man shows.

Spider-Man is hands down one of the most iconic Marvel characters out there. Who doesn’t love our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man? But the character wouldn’t have been the fan favorite he was if it had not been for the magic weaved by Spider-Man: The Animated Series. The series was invaluable to Marvel, making innumerable characters household names for the people at large. Most of the characters featured in the series were loved by the fans. There were a few exceptions – one being the Hobgoblin.

This X-Men ’97 article contains spoilers.
“They shall know my Inferno!” cries the Goblin Queen early in X-Men ’97‘s third episode. Now, the Goblin Queen has had a rough day, which began with her thinking that she was the real Jean Grey and ended with the revelation that she was a clone created by evil (but fashionable) geneticist Mr. Sinister. Her heel turn came so quick that she really didn’t have time to workshop her villain monologues.
Whatever the shortcomings in her baddie banter, the Goblin Queen makes up for it with evil powers. She immediately begins transforming the X-Mansion into a Hellscape, complete with a giant head in an elevator and a vision of Xavier as a monster from the anime classic Akira. Wild as these transformations are, they have nothing on the comic book storyline that inspired it.

Peter Parker’s new status quo as of the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home leaves him in a pretty isolated situation. Cut off from everyone he has ever known, there might be one ray of hope for the character, that could bring back the memories of the people, undoing the spell: Tom Hardy’s Venom.
Tom Hardy as Venom
The theory posited on Reddit focuses on the little titbit of information that was dropped at the end of Venom: Let There Be Carnage when the symbiote informed Eddie Brock of his kind function more like a hive mind, able to extract and collate information from across the multiverse. This would mean that the character should be able to remember who Peter Parker and this could spell doom for Spider-Man.

It is with great sadness that the final bell has tolled for Ring-a-ding Romita. It brings to an end a distinguished career in comics that has seen it all. From Romance, to war and the biggest heroes around. As he pulls his chair up to the great drawing board in the sky we look back on the life of Jazzy John and his legacy.

This article contains major spoilers for "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse."
After nearly five years of waiting, "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" is finally in theaters. The story was simply too big to be contained in a single film, though, so audiences have much more to look forward to as this is just the first part of a two-part story that was cooked up by producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller, alongside co-writer Dave Callaham. This means we now await the release of "Beyond the Spider-Verse" next year. Not only will that movie resolve the big cliffhanger we were left with this time around, but it will seemingly bring one of the most notorious supervillain groups to the big screen for the first time. That's right! It looks like we're finally getting the Sinister Six.

These days, Spider-Man is as ubiquitous as the Marvel Cinematic Universe of which he's a part. In recent years the character has come to fully realize his potential as an everyman hero by literally appearing as a multitude of varied characters across different forms of media. From Miles Morales to the many different incarnations of Peter Parker to emerge from the multiverse, Spider-Man has truly come into his own in the 21st century.
But back when I was a kid, there was nothing like the bevy of Spidey products on offer today. In fact, if you weren't reading the comics, there wasn't really much to delve into in the early '90s. Sam Raimi was yet to make his seminal movie saga, and James Cameron couldn't get his vision for the character off the ground after Carolco, the studio behind his action classic "Terminator 2," bought the rights and then went bust.

Following the massive success of "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" and Tom Holland's portrayal of the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Peter Parker's wall-crawling superhero is more popular than ever. Although, if you're confused by Sony Pictures' approach to their Spider-Man movies, you're not alone. On one hand, True Believers around the world can hardly wait for "Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse" to finally hit theaters next year. On the other hand, every live-action project that gets announced by the studio is just getting weirder and weirder, and we're not even talking about the Madame Web movie that appears to follow the younger years of the elderly spider-hero that most fans remember from the 1990s "Spider-Man: The Animated Series." Instead, it's all of these works that put various members of the friendly neighborhood web-slinger's rogues gallery front and center.

The new trailer for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has arrived and to quote a certain webbed pigilante, “It Can get weirder!” The previous movie gave us seven different Spider-folk with two more popping up in the post-credits. While we know that this sequel will include a take on Jessica Drew Spider-Woman, Spider-Punk, and even the Spider-Man of the 1970s Japanese TV series, the new trailer bombards us with dozens upon dozens of Spider-Men.
Some of them are just random color schemes and designs. Others are deep cuts to the Marvel multiverse or at least appear to be obscure references to either Spider-Man variants or phases. Here are some that we noticed.
Here’s the trailer if you haven’t seen it already…

Sometimes, it feels like Mephisto rumors have been around as long as the ageless Marvel supervillain himself. At the very least, you can count the passage of time by them. Remember when everyone thought Jake Gyllenhaal's character in "Spider-Man: Far From Home" would be Mephisto, only for the character to be revealed as an ex-Stark Industries employee with a grudge? What about when people were convinced Evan Peters' off-brand Pietro would be the demon in disguise in "WandaVision"? /Film's own history with Mephisto hype goes at least as far back as 2014, when we pondered the idea of none other than Al Pacino as the big bad.
The demon has long been on the mind of Marvel fans, even if he's yet to make his official Marvel Cinematic Universe debut. Most recently, Sacha Baron Cohen's name has been thrown in the running, and with Deadline reporting that the "Borat" star might appear in "Ironheart,...

If this is your first time hearing about this and you’re wondering why there hasn’t been more media emphasis on such a story, the reason is because it isn’t a Marvel movie or TV show, but a ride taking place in Disneyland sometime in the next couple years.

Exploration and combat – the latter of which features a handful of different options thanks to the unique abilities Miles has access to compared with his mentor – will provoke an almost tangible feeling of déjà vu in anyone who spent time with Insomniac’s 2018 original, then, though as far as story is concerned, Miles Morales features a standalone narrative not just significant to its lead on a personal level, but also one that serves to further the series’ continuity.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has always been known for taking plenty of liberties with comic book source material in order to suit the needs of the franchise, and that definitely applies to Spider-Man‘s Ned Leeds. The character first debuted in 1964 as one of Peter Parker’s colleagues at the Daily Bugle and the husband of Betty Brant, but his live-action counterpart is almost unrecognizable.
Jacob Batalon’s Ned wasn’t even given an official surname until after Spider-Man: Homecoming was released on home video, but his version is an amalgamation of Ned Leeds, Harry Osborn and the Ultimate line’s Ganke Lee, in that he’s Peter’s best friend and closest confidant but also one of the franchise’s main sources of comic relief.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Spider-Man franchise has made a point of trying to put a fresh spin on some familiar faces from the web-slinger’s extensive back catalogue, and it isn’t just limited to tweaking the origins of villains Vulture and Mysterio to suit the needs of the McU’s mythology.
Jacob Batalon’s Ned is an amalgamation of future Hobgoblin Ned Leeds and Ultimate Spider-Man‘s Ganke Lee, while Angourie Rice’s Betty Brant and Tony Revolori’s Flash Thompson don’t bear much similarity to their comic book counterparts.
