It's been over 10 years since "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane made the jump to the big screen with his feature directorial and writing debut "Ted." In the 2012 comedy, Mark Wahlberg played John Bennett, a grown man stuck in a state of arrested development with his girlfriend Lori (Mila Kunis), because he can't stop smoking weed and screwing around with his best friend, a foul-mouthed teddy bear named Ted (voiced by Seth MacFarlane) that he magically wished to life when he was just a boy.
Of course, by the end of the movie, John realizes that he needs to grow up and become a bit more responsible and salvages his relationship with Lori. However, in 2015, "Ted 2" undid their happy ending, revealing that John and Lori got divorced six months prior to the start of the sequel, and the follow-up focused on Ted's battle in court for the right to have...

"Curb Your Enthusiasm" might be centered around Larry David, who plays a fictional version of himself, but arguably the best part of the show is the rotating cast of eccentric characters that flow in and out of Larry's life. Everyone on the show plays some heightened version of their real-life selves, including Larry's "manager," Jeff Greene, portrayed by the irreverent Jeff Garlin. Unlike many of the other characters in Larry's charmed life, Garlin is a consistent staple throughout every season of the show and often acts as a sounding board for some of his crazier ideas. Believe it or not, the original idea for the show did not include Garlin, and adding him to the main cast was a last-minute decision just before the show started filming.
However, Garlin was attached to the series in a creative capacity from the very beginning. In fact, making a meta HBO series was...

TV Academy… please don’t let Beverly Goldberg leave this world without an Emmy nomination.
If one asked Wendi McLendon-Covey how she created the lovable and zany mom from “The Goldbergs,” I’d imagine she’d use one of the overbearing matriarch’s famous lines delivered to a random stranger regarding the origins of her three children: “I made these people. Me. I made them with my body.”
With an undeniable “schmoop” factor and countless “huggies,” McLendon-Covey made the unapologetic “smotherer” with her body, heart and soul. Her phenomenal work in the ABC comedy series will surely be one of the finest in sitcom history, and we’re all the better for it.

Christina Applegate eviscerates Candace Owens for criticising underwear ad featuring wheelchair user
Christina Applegate has admonished Candace Owens on Twitter over her criticism of an underwear advert featuring a model in a wheelchair.
In a recently-resurfaced clip from 2022, the conservative commentator took issue with Kim Kardashian’s Skims Adaptive clothing line, which offers products for those with limited mobility.
Applegate – who announced her multiple sclerosis diagnosis in 2021 – responded to the clip on Wednesday night (22 March).
“Yes late tweet. But woke to see the most horrifying thing. This Candace person making comments about companies who see we need help. It’s f---ing gross,” the Anchorman star wrote.
“I thank skims and Tommy and Guide beauty and @neowalksticks for seeing us. To you #youshouldknowbetter”
In a separate tweet, she continued: “Going to try and sleep but my rage is keeping me awake. Candace Owens, do you know when you have seen pictures of me how f***ing hard it was to get my clothes on?...

Race Across the World returned to screens last night (22 March), with fans taking to social media to praise the series despite one major change.
The adventure-themed reality show, which has moved from BBC Two to BBC One for its current third series, sees five teams attempt to travel as far as they can without smartphones, internet access or credit cards, and armed only with the cash equivalent of the airfare to fly the route.
While the teams usually travel across several countries, this time, they are racing 16,000km through the second largest country on the planet – Canada. This is because the series was filmed last year, when the world was still opening up after the pandemic.

“The Goldbergs” is coming to an end after 10 seasons on ABC, according to reports. The ’80s-set half-hour comedy was based on creator Adam F. Goldberg’s childhood experiences.
With over 200 episodes and a decade-long run, the Sony Pictures Television series — which follows the title family in a Pennsylvania town — has earned the distinction of being the longest-running live-action network comedy series currently on the air. The season finale, set to air May 3, will now serve as a series ender.
The logline for Season 10 is as follows: “With everyone living back under the same roof and Beverly adjusting to her new role as Grandsmotherer, the Goldbergs pandemonium is crazier than ever. As this latest chapter of life continues to unfold, the Goldbergs remind us that there is no bond greater than family, and there is nothing they can’t handle with each other’s support.”

Exclusive (Updated With Confirmation & Details): The Goldbergs’ journey through the 1980s is over. The family comedy’s current tenth season will be its last, with the May 3 season finale serving as a series finale. (Watch a promo for The Goldbergs‘ final episodes above.)
This does not come as a surprise. For shows of that age, renewals are not straightforward because of rising costs and declining ratings, and there had been questions over the past couple of years on how long The Goldbergs can go. The half-hour, from creator Adam F. Goldberg and Sony Pictures TV, is the longest-running live-action network comedy series currently on the air and, given the way the broadcast business is going, there likely won’t be many others coming behind it that would be able join the exclusive club of live-action broadcast comedies with double-digit season, 200+ episode runs.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for The Goldbergs Season 10 Episode 14 “Two-Timing Goldbergs.”] A familiar face made a special return in the latest episode of The Goldbergs as Aj Michalka‘s Lainey Lewis paid her friend Erica (Hayley Orrantia) a visit. Returning home from L.A., she meets baby Muriel for the first time, but when Erica notices her brother Barry (Troy Gentile) stopping by Lainey’s house on secret excursions, she’s suspicious. The Goldbergs is staying true to its throwback format with the inclusion of upcoming guest star Steve Guttenberg, who is bringing a touch of Three Men and a Baby to the ABC comedy. The Wonder Years has been bumped to summer.
The second-year comedy was left off of ABC’s newly announced midseason schedule and will not air until a date to be determined in summer 2023.
Sources say the scheduling has nothing to do with original star Fred Savage, who in May was fired from the ABC reimagining following a misconduct investigation. Instead, the move has more to do with ABC prioritizing first-year comedy Not Dead Yet. The Gina Rodriguez-led series will premiere Wednesday, Feb. 8, with a two-episode debut that will lead into the newly announced final season of A Million Little Things. The comedy, based on the work by author Alexandra Potter, will also be promoted out of big midseason events including American Idol, the Oscars and the NFL.

The Goldbergs said goodbye to Murray, their fictional patriarch, during the season 10 premiere Wednesday night.
It’s a farewell that balances the long-running ABC comedy’s signature sense of humor and its ’80s time period with an authentic look at the emotional range of grieving. It’s also a character send-off that follows former star Jeff Garlin’s exit last season after an Hr investigation and multiple complaints about his on-set behavior.
The aptly titled episode, “If You Build It,” sets the stage for the Goldbergs family, and ultimately the show, to build (or rebuild) their lives — and a show that will draw viewers back. The Goldbergs said goodbye to one of its most pivotal characters on Wednesday's season premiere.
Jeff Garlin departed the show last season, but the series opted to keep Murray alive with some crafty editing ... until now.
It was recently reported that Garlin's character would be killed off, and while the season premiere confirmed as much, we didn't get much in the way of specifics.
“Just a few months ago, out of nowhere, we lost my dad,” Adam said at the top of the episode.
“We will always love you, Dad. Always. And we’ll find a way to continue on together. Because, after all, we’re the Goldbergs.”

Like The Conners and Two And a Half Men, ABC’s The Goldbergs dealt with the controversial exit of a lead actor by killing off their character off screen.
The fate of the Goldbergs patriarch Murray was revealed last month by showrunner Alex Barnow who said in an interview that Season 10 will pick up several months after Murray’s death.
That’s exactly what happened in the Season 10 premiere tonight, which addressed Murray’s disappearance in the voiceover opening, in which Adam recapped what the various family members had been up to over the summer with a focus on major changes in their lives.
“That year, there was one change that made everything stop,” Adam said as the camera slowly panned from one side of the living room, where family members were coming and going in fast-forward, to the other, where Murray’s favorite chair stood empty, while the music changed from frantic to somber.

The Goldbergs‘ Season 10 premiere kicked off with Murray Goldberg’s well-spoiled demise. So, how exactly did the ABC comedy handle the passing of Jeff Garlin’s cantankerous alter ego?
The Powers That Be could have gone in any number of directions. Murray could’ve been pushed in front of a train in Paris and exploded like a balloon full of meat. Or he could have succumb to a previously unknown drug addiction. Heck, he could’ve been offed via kung fu coupon — there’s precedent!

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, Sept. 20, the “Curb Your Enthusiasm” star went public for the first time about his mental health struggles.
“Bipolar is a motherf**ker,” he wrote. “Sometimes it’s just too much to deal with. I’m doing the best I can. This the first time that I’ve opened up about this.”

Garlin’s revelation comes months after he parted ways with “The Goldbergs” at the end of last season in the midst of allegations of misconduct on the set of the ABC sitcom; perhaps not coincidentally, the season premiere of the show airs on Wednesday night.
Last December, Garlin addressed the allegations with Vanity Fair, insisting it was simply a case of his jokes being misunderstood. He did, however, reveal that...

After receiving multiple complaints about the behaviour of Jeff Garlin on the set of The Goldbergs last year, the actor and the studio mutually agreed that he would not return. The long-running comedy series was in the midst of its ninth season when Jeff Garlin exited, which meant that the remaining episodes had to use Garlin’s stand-in, previously used dialogue, and unused takes to keep his character in the series. When The Goldbergs returns for its tenth season, they won’t have to tiptoe around Jeff Garlin’s absence as his character is being killed off.
