Superman may be colloquially known as "The Big Blue Boy Scout," but sometimes, he can be straight up villainous. Sure, he's saved Metropolis (and the world) more times than any individual can count, however, that doesn't excuse his moments of cruelty and authoritarian-brand of justice.
The most interesting aspect of Superman as a character derives from his immortality on Earth. Short of using Kryptonite, our measly human-made weapons never account for much damage against the Man of Steel. The only thing stopping Clark Kent/Superman from taking over the world or causing serious harm is his sense of righteousness.
While Supes, for the most part, doesn't allow his ego or greed to corrupt him, he's certainly made some questionable decisions across his nearly-90 year history. As we prepare for the cinematic return of Superman with James Gunn's "Superman: Legacy," let's remind ourselves that even our most morally straight hero falters.

5 Things You Missed in House of the Dragon Season 2 Trailer - Main Image
A month before House of the Dragon Season 2 finally hits the small screen, HBO has dropped the official trailer for the much-awaited series. As expected, it’s filled with action with the incoming war between the Green and Black Councils, but there are several things you may have missed during the first watch.
After the death of Lucerys (Elliot Grihault) in the first season finale and the threat of the looming war, Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D'Arcy) begins her move to face her half-brother and the king of the Seven Kingdoms, Aegon II Targaryen (Tom Glynn-Carney).
But several other things will happen here, from dragon fights to Targaryen family drama. The battle for the throne (and revenge) continues in House of the Dragon Season 2.
So, read the five things you may have missed in the House of the Dragon Season 2 trailer.

In the first season of House of the Dragon, we were shown many representatives of the main houses of the Seven Kingdoms: in addition to the Targaryens, we saw the Hightowers, Velaryons, and Lannisters.
However, the family that played a key role in Game of Thrones was unrepresented in the first season of House of the Dragon. Did the silent and stern Northern Starks really not participate in the events that were about to bring blood to the Seven Kingdoms?
Of course they did, and even played an important role, while managing to be true men of honor, which is extremely difficult in the conditions of war.
The hero of these events was the young, but already experienced Cregan Stark, who will appear in the second season. Cregan, played by Tom Taylor, can be seen in the Black trailer standing shoulder to shoulder with Jacaerys.

*House Of The Dragon S1 Spoilers Ahead*
If we had a nickel for every time a trailer for the second season of a big budget fantasy series based on an iconic book series released on a Tuesday in mid-May, we’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice, right? Yes folks, within mere hours of the first teaser for The Rings Of Power Season 2 dropping yesterday, HBO fired back with its own fancy new trailer for House Of The Dragon’s second season. And sure enough, there be dragons. Check it out below:
As you may recall, Season 1’s breathless finale saw Aemond Targaryen’s (Ewan Mitchell) dragon Vhagar brutally kill his half-sister Rhaenyra’s (Emma D’Arcy) son Lucerys (Elliot Grihault). Families, eh? Unsurprisingly, Rhaenyra’s none-too-happy about Aemond’s heinous deed, and in this new trailer things are hotting up...

HBO has released the first full-length trailer for House of the Dragon season 2 (via SFFGazette.com), and brace yourselves because it's epic. In the newly released footage, we see more of the scheming which continues in Westeros as war beckons between Queen Alicent Hightower and Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen.
The Targaryen civil war known as the "Dance of the Dragons" is nearly upon us and this sneak peek does a phenomenal job of setting the stage for the conflict to come.
All the major players are highlighted, with the sneak peek ending on a suitably epic note as Rhaenyra stands tall with Syrax looming large behind her. Who will prevail? Book readers (and most Game of Thrones fans) will know, but we won't spoil anything here,
"The first season was so much about the royal family, that 1 percent of the upper 1 percent that rules this world. All the people in the...

On Tuesday, HBO released the full trailer for “House of the Dragon” Season 2, which premieres June 16.
The eight-episode second season of the “Game of Thrones” prequel finds the Targaryens in a civil war, with the Greens – supporters of Aegon II Targaryn (Tom Glynn-Carney), son of late king Viserys Targaryen (Paddy Considine) and Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke) and the traditional heir – on one side, and the Blacks – partisans of Viserys’ daughter Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy), Viserys’ chosen heir, and her husband/uncle Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith) on the other. Both sides claim the Iron Throne, and they will kill their kin to get it.
The trailer previews the combination of political strategy, intense action, and interpersonal backstabbing that’s the “Game of Thrones” franchise’s signature. On the political side, there’s a small council meeting where Aegon forcefully rejects the idea of dignity in favor of revenge. On the action side,...

All hail the king ... or the queen! Which one has the rightful claim, you ask? Well, that depends on which side you happen to have sworn allegiance to in the great Targaryen schism known as the Dance of the Dragons.
"House of the Dragon" lived up to its billing as an essential "Game of Thrones" prequel, set hundreds of years before Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen ever made their claims on the Iron Throne. The events of the mythic Targaryen civil war always loomed large in the background of the original HBO series, but never before had we seen the fire, blood, and (of course) incest depicted with as much fervor as the 10 episodes that comprised its debut season. With all the major players fully established and the stakes set impossibly high, season 2 now has a full runway to double down on our favorite royal squabble and dive deep into...

HBO is rolling out some beauteous dragon footage and a potty-mouthed Aegon in the season 2 trailer for House of the Dragon, which returns June 16.
The drama based on on George R.R. Martin’s “Fire & Blood” is setting up an epic war between the Targaryens and the Hightowers following the Season 1 finale, which saw tragedy befall the former (R.I.P Prince Lucerys Velaryon) at the hands of the latter (Prince Aemond Targaryen). The series was largely able to continue filming last summer during the strikes as it has a largely British cast under Equity contracts rather than SAG-AFTRA ones.

“House of the Dragon” Season 2 is about to soar onto screens soon.
After Season 2 was first unveiled at Ccxp in Sao Paolo in December 2023 with a teaser, and later released viral dueling trailers, the season of the dragon is almost upon audiences. Season 2 will not have a time jump like in Season 1, and instead solely focus on former besties turned step-family Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy) and Alicent (Olivia Cooke) as they both battle for the Iron Throne.
Per the official synopsis, after the death of King Viserys I (Paddy Considine), an undeniable rift has grown between his daughter Rhaenyra (D’Arcy) and wife Alicent (Cooke), after their close friendship as teenagers. A rift that’s now a full-blown civil war.
The series is based on George R.R. Martin’s “Fire & Blood,” and is set 200 years before the events of “Game of Thrones.”

On June 16, the second season of House of the Dragon, a Game of Thrones prequel in which the powerful Targaryen dynasty unleashes a bloody war for the Iron Throne of Westeros, will begin streaming on Max. In anticipation of the release of the second season, we are sharing available information about the upcoming episodes.
Warning: the text contains spoilers for House of the Dragon season 1.
House of the Dragon Season 2 Will Be More Like Game of Thrones
The events of the second season take place during the Dance of Dragons, a long-running war between representatives of the Targaryen clan for possession of the Iron Throne. The main forces will be concentrated between the "black" forces of Rhaenyra and Daemon and the "green" army loyal to Aegon. Both sides will continue to kill each other's children, dragons, and distant relatives.
The sequel will have eight episodes, not ten like the first.

House of the Dragon, the Game of Thrones prequel series that debuted on HBO and Max in 2022 and is returning soon, focuses on House Targaryen, generations before the events of the original Game of Thrones series.
They are, of course, the ancestors of Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), one of the main characters on Game of Thrones, whose series-long plot was about wanting to recapture her family's throne.
While House of the Dragon focuses on that particular family, we did get occasional glimpses of other familiar houses in the first season of that show, including the Baratheons. Also, there are fleeting mentions of Houses such as Arryn and Stark.
While the members of House Stark were among the most important characters throughout Game of Thrones, none of the Starks were major characters In the first season of House of the Dragon.

When Game of Thrones wrapped up its run after eight seasons, it seemed it had ruined any chance of a spinoff due to the poor fan reaction to the final season.
House of the Dragon, a prequel charting the downfall of the Targaryen dynasty, premiered in 2022 and delivered plenty of fantasy drama to reignite interest in the franchise.
The Targaryen storyline is interesting because we didn’t meet many of them on the original series due to them being dead.
House of the Dragon Season 1 successfully established the conflicts between the Greens and the Blacks to prepare for the mother of all battles on House of the Dragon Season 2.
With new episodes fast approaching, it’s time to delve into everything we know about the next chapter.

Famous for writing numerous successful horror, sci-fi and drama novels, Stephen King gave the cinema industry lots of sources for adapting. While some of the adaptations of his works are considered cultish, there are a number of clearly failed attempts to bring the accomplished writer’s plots to the big screen.
These include the adaptation of King’s magnum opus, a series of eight novels, which blends science fiction, fantasy, horror and Western. It was long considered unadaptable, until the 2017 movie was released, which partially proved those lasting doubts.
The movie’s plot revolves around Roland (played by Idris Elba), a gunslinger on his mission to protect the tower which supports all the world’s realities with his young apprentice Jake (Tom Taylor). Meanwhile, his quest gets disturbed by his lifetime rival, named The Man in Black (Matthew McConaughey).

In the world of Westeros, Fire & Blood isn’t an exact retelling of the events that went down in Targaryen history. With so many sources, there’s no single narrative that is entirely factual. This has provided space for speculation as to what really happened in certain situations. Many fans have wondered about the true nature between Jace and Cregan Stark, with some speculating they were more than just friends. Scroll down for a full breakdown of what we...

HBO’s confirmed a June 16, 2024 premiere date for House of the Dragon season two and released the first-ever “dueling” trailers. House of the Dragon season two dropped dueling trailers Thursday, prompting fans to choose between the black trailer, focusing on Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy), or the green one, which puts Alicent (Olivia Cooke) at the forefront.
Rhaenyra’s trailer focuses on her, Prince Daemon (Matt Smith) and their Dragonstone forces, while the green puts King Landing’s team of Alicent, Otto (Rhys Ifans) and her children — King Aegon (Tom Glynn-Carney) and Prince Aemond (Ewan Mitchell) — at the forefront. This season of the Emmy-nominated show will begin the Targaryen’s civil war, also known as the Dance of the Dragons.

Or if you’re just in excited anticipation of the new season of the Game of Thrones series, you can watch them both. HBO has just released two trailers, by way of Deadline, that tell of the upcoming civil conflict for the control of The Iron Throne. In October of 2022, the first season of House of the Dragon left audiences with a sense of impending war as Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen found herself laced with rage and coming to a decision to battle for the throne. The second season suffered some delay due to last year’s dual union strikes, but wait no more. The Green and Black trailers showcase this season’s story from the...

“House of the Dragon” is asking viewers to pick a side in Season 2: Rhaenyra’s black faction or Alicent’s green team?
HBO dropped two unique trailers Thursday for Season 2, which premieres on June 16. One trailer focuses on Rhaenrya, Prince Daemon and their forces on Dragonstone, and the other is centered on the King’s Landing team of Alicent, her father Otto and her children King Aegon and Prince Aemond. Taking place 200 years before the events of “Game of Thrones,” Season 2 of “House of the Dragon” will officially mark the start of the Dance of the Dragons, the Targaryen civil war.
In the wake of the Season 1 finale, in which Aemond murders Rhaenyra’s son Lucerys and his dragon, war is imminent in Westeros. The blacks and the greens are both gathering their forces, dragons and new allies to face off in a bloody, fiery battle to the death.

Every time a Targaryen is born, to paraphrase a memorable line from fantasy author George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire," the gods toss the coin in the air and the world holds its breath to see how it will land. This, of course, refers to the uniquely Targaryen penchant for instability that we caught a brief but violent glimpse of throughout "Game of Thrones" -- as it turns out, centuries of incestuous marriage traditions will have that effect -- but that was nothing compared to the relentless display of fire and blood in season 1 of "House of the Dragon." HBO's prequel series was set 200 years before the events of the original, back when the Targaryen dynasty had reached its zenith and spread its influence across the continent of Westeros. And despite concerns that the divisive final season of "Game of Thrones" might turn viewers off from...

I am a sucker for a good old-fashioned brawl between Wolverine and Sabretooth. They are actually few and far between when compared to other great comic book rivalries. Again the cover carries the ‘Fall of X’ banner and on the credits page we get a caption explaining this story takes place after X-Force #50 and before the new Powers and House of X books. I have said before how wider continuity doesn’t bother me too much when it comes to reading Wolverine, but it can just take you out of the moment every now and then.
