Trevor Nelson will present a night of music at the Royal Albert Hall on Friday 9 June to mark the 75th anniversary of Windrush and celebrate the impact of Caribbean culture on British life.
The one-off concert will feature a multi-generational line-up focussing on British talent with Caribbean heritage, exploring the evolution of Caribbean-influenced music from the 1940s to the present day. It will feature an array of guest stars, including Craig David and others to be announced, accompanied by the Chineke! Orchestra conducted by Chris Cameron.
As well as recognising the influence of West Indian immigration, the concert will acknowledge the Windrush scandal, in which hundreds of Commonwealth citizens – many from the Windrush generation – were wrongly detained, deported and denied legal rights.

Superstar classical pianist, Lang Lang, will return to the Royal Albert Hall in November for two headline concerts spotlighting the work of composer Camille Saint-Saëns.
The musician, currently being seen on Channel 4’s hit show The Piano, will be accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra as he performs two immortal Saint-Saëns works: the composer’s second piano concerto, and his Carnival of the Animals. The latter piece will also feature a second soloist: Lang Lang’s wife, fellow pianist Gina Alice.

American artist Colson Baker Aka Machine Gun Kelly has announced a special, one-night-only show at London’s historic Royal Albert Hall on 31 May 2023.
The genre-bending artist will follow in the footsteps of the greatest musicians of all time in taking to the Hall’s 152-year old stage, fresh from the release of his No.1 album Mainstream Sellout.

Marvel Studios joins the Films in Concert universe with premiere of Black Panther. Royal Albert Hall
Black Panther will become the first Marvel Studios movie to get the Films in Concert treatment at the Royal Albert Hall when the orchestral extravaganza arrives at the venue in May.
The European premiere of Black Panther in Concert on Saturday 27 May will feature the 2018 film screened in full, accompanied by Chineke! Orchestra performing Ludwig Göransson’s Oscar®-winning score live on stage.

UK sales company Truffle Pictures has closed deals on fantasy action adventure The Gaelic King to North America and the UK (4Digital Media), the Middle East (Italia Film), Japan (Interfilm) and Italy (Draka Distribution). 4Digital Media is planning to release the film in the UK this July. All deals were negotiated by Caroline Couret-Delègue, managing director at Truffle Pictures.
Directed by Philip Todd from a script by Philip and Matthew Todd, the film’s ensemble cast includes Jake McGarry, Shona Melrose, Kerry Browne, Noah Irvine and Peter Cosgrove.
