Madrid-based agency Feelsales has picked up worldwide sales rights to indie social drama film “Third Week,” by long term New York-based Catalan writer-director Jordi Torrent (“The Redemption of the Fish”).
A U.S.-Spain co-production, the film is produced by Torrent, alongside Randy Simon, Maria Àngels Amorós and Toni Espinosa, for New York’s companies Duende Pictures and Rfs Wolf Entertainment and Barcelona’s Toned Media.
“Third Week” forms part of the Spanish Screenings On Tour 2023 international showcase’s Next From Spain – Comin’ Up sidebar, a preview of titles from Spain scheduled for release next hosted by the upcoming 9th edition of Rome’s Mercato Internazionale Audiovisivo (Mia) in Rome.
Shot on Staten Island, which is described in the film as a socially and aesthetically marginalized neighborhood of NYC, it follows the struggle of Alvin, a young man just out from prison, after serving a two years sentence, looking to find himself again.

New Delhi, April 11 (Ians) Google has rolled out its much-awaited auto-archive feature on Android devices which will reduce storage taken by apps which are not frequently in use by nearly 60 per cent.
The auto-archive tool will help users automatically free up to nearly 60 per cent of an app’s storage space, without removing the app presence or users’ data from the device.
This will reduce unnecessary uninstalls and help users successfully install new apps, said Chang Liu and Lidia Gaymond, Product Managers, Google Play.
Auto-archive allows users to free up space on their device without the need to completely uninstall an app.
Once the user opts in, infrequently used apps will be partly removed from the device to save space, whilst the app icon and the user’s personal app data will be preserved.
When the user wants to start using the app again, they can simply tap to re-download...

Hong Kong’s FilMart wrapped up its 2021 edition – and second successive wholly online edition on Thursday. Organizers reported that the four day event (March 15-18) had welcomed “nearly 7,000 industry participants from 81 countries and regions over four days, with the release and promotion of some 2,200 film and television productions.”
That total was largely similar to its outcome in August last year, when organizers said that “some 2,100 film and television productions were released and promoted (and) attracted nearly 7,000 international buyers from 73 countries and regions.”
The online platform used for meetings and conference events will remain open until May 18. Registered participants can continue to connect with exhibitors and buyers and also review the content of previous events.
