Jacobo León was born on May 1, 1988 in Guamúchil, Sinaloa, Mexico. He is a Director, Editor and Writer.
His parents moved to Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, where he lived his childhood and teen years. Thanks to his father, he developed a love for cinema at an early age. His parents gave him his first camera for Christmas at the age of 11, and began making live-action and animated short films.
After finishing high school, he tries to enroll at the C.U.E.C. to study cinema in Mexico City, but got rejected for being too young compared to all the other applicants at the time. Later in 2007 he attended the C.A.A.V. (University of Audiovisual Media) in Guadalajara, Jalisco.
At the age of 21, León moved to Mexico City where he met Marco Sáenz, who after working together on several projects, including short films and television, opened a film studio in 2012 that would allow them to carry out their future projects.
