The MTV series Teen Wolf – which was loosely inspired by the 1985 comedy film Teen Wolf (watch our Awfully Good video on that movie Here) – wrapped up its six season run back in 2017, and back in January it got a feature film follow-up on the Paramount+ streaming service. (Read our review of Teen Wolf: The Movie at This Link.) Now Paramount+ is hoping that movie is going to rack up multiple Primetime Emmy Awards nominations.
Variety reports that the streaming service has submitted Teen Wolf: The Movie for Emmys consideration in the following categories: Outstanding Television Movie, Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie (Tyler Posey), Directing (Russell Mulcahy), Writing, Prosthetic Makeup and Original Music and Lyrics (“Lemon” by Tyler Posey).
Since Posey was also a producer on the film, Variety notes that these submissions give him three chances to earn an Emmy nod.

And now that Teen Wolf has made its return, stars Tyler Posey and Crystal Reed said they would like to see it keep rolling with feature sequels.
Speaking with Screen Rant, Posey said he wants to work on Teen Wolf: The Movie 2 and possibly more sequels because, “(The Movie) is definitely not the perfect ending. I think it lends itself to more, I want more. I think it would be interesting to now see how they live their lives as adults. We got to see them as teenagers. Paramount+ has spooked up two hits with debuts “Teen Wolf: The Movie” and “Wolf Pack,” both of which hail from MTV Entertainment Studios, creator Jeff Davis (who’s under a multi-year deal at the studio) and MGM.
The former — a film revival of the beloved 2011 young-adult supernatural series that reunites a majority of the cast, including stars Tyler Posey and Tyler Hoechlin — broke the streamer’s record for the most-watched original move in the first day of its debut.
The latter, which stars and is executive produced by Sarah Michelle Gellar, marked the platform’s most-viewed YA show since the “iCarly” reboot, making it the No. 2 YA series premiere overall in its first 24 hours.

Tyler Posey and girlfriend Phem just hit a big relationship milestone. The couple attended the "Teen Wolf: The Movie" premiere in Los Angeles on Jan. 18, marking their first time walking the red carpet together since they started dating two years ago. Posey, who's reprising his role as Scott McCall in the forthcoming film, looked dapper in a black velvet suit and striped button-down, while Phem subtly coordinated in a patterned jacket, lace crop top, and black pants. The two shared a few sweet kisses while posing for the cameras.
Posey also enjoyed the premiere with younger brother Jesse and dad John, both of whom appear in "Teen Wolf: The Movie." The rest of the cast were in attendance to celebrate the Paramount+ film's Jan. 26 release, including "Teen Wolf" alums like Crystal Reed, Colton Haynes, Holland Roden, and Ian Bowen, as well as newcomers Amy Lin Workman and Vince Mattis.

Guess who's back, back again? "Teen Wolf" is back, and you should definitely tell your friends because there is a lot to be excited about. First off, what exactly brings us back to Beacon Hills fifteen years after the final season of "Teen Wolf"? It appears that the Oni — the neutral demon warriors from season 3 of the show — have returned to the northern California town, and no one knows why. Eleven years ago, Jeff Davis took the basic concept of the 1985 comedy film Teen Wolf (watch our Awfully Good video on that movie Here) and turned it into a supernatural teen drama series for MTV. The show ran for six seasons, wrapping up in 2017. Five years later, much of the show’s cast has been brought back together for the Teen Wolf franchise’s return to the world of feature films, a project appropriately titled Teen Wolf: The Movie. The new movie is going to be released through the Paramount+ streaming service on January 26th, and today they unveiled a poster for it.
