Gilmore Girls was mostly about the family dynamics of the Gilmore clan, as well as the quirky town of Stars Hollow and all of its eccentric residents. The show is beloved for being light, comforting, and funny. The town of Stars Hollow and its residents are considered ideal by fans. Still, there appears to be a dark underbelly, just like Paris Geller once predicted. Upon closer inspection, we were shocked to find out how many times the show’s main characters turned up on the wrong side of the law.
Rory Gilmore stole a boat in season 5
One of the most notable instances of an arrest on Gilmore Girls occurred when Rory Gilmore found herself in hot water during her time at Yale. In Season 5, Rory, troubled by Mitchum Huntzberger’s assessment of her journalistic talents, talks Logan Huntzberger into stealing a boat with her.

The official Gilmore Girls rewatch might be a fall event for fans of the beloved series, but the show isn’t just fall-focused. Over the course of seven seasons, there were plenty of winter-themed episodes, and we think there are more than a few Gilmore Girls episodes you should absolutely watch during a cozy snow day. We’ve collected four that you should queue up the next time you are snowed in.
‘Love and War and Snow’ is the quintessential ‘Gilmore Girls’ snow episode
Lorelai Gilmore’s love of snow is established early on in the series. One of the first snow-themed Gilmore Girls episodes also happens to be one of our favorites. In the show’s eighth episode, Lorelai finds herself stranded in Stars Hollow without Rory. While Rory is stuck in Hartford, Lorelai is hardly alone.

Gilmore Girls might be about a mother-daughter duo, but the food they consumed was an important element of almost every episode. While Rory and Lorelai Gilmore spent most of their meals at Luke’s Diner or Richard and Emily Gilmore’s house, every so often, they strayed from Luke and picked up food from a different local establishment. Occasionally, Rory and Lorelai consumed dinner from Jojo’s, an establishment that was spoken about often but rarely seen. You might not have noticed that Jojo’s entire menu was featured in a season 1 episode.
What were the dining options in Stars Hollow?
When the Gilmore girls aren’t hanging out at Luke’s diner, they are sampling the other food offerings in Stars Hollow. For a tiny hamlet, there were plenty of places to grab a bite to eat. The Hungry Diner is patronized by Lorelai and Rory when absolutely necessary.

To the devoted "Gilmore Girls" fan, an episode of Amy Sherman-Palladino's sweet and savvy series is like a warm blanket or cup of cocoa on a cold night, and for many, it's hard to imagine life before Kirk's hilarious mishaps or Emily Gilmore's telling glances. Fans were blessed enough to get a sweet but much-too-brief reboot a couple years back, but like Lorelai with coffee, many have still found themselves craving more in the time since then.
Similar to many shows from the aughts, "Gilmore Girls" is frequently looked back at through nostalgic rose-colored lenses. It's hard to deny the show's lasting impact - the fandom continues to loudly love the series. And for a good reason; Sherman-Palladino has blessed us with complex women characters, snappy dialogue, and insatiable family drama, among so much else. But like any show from the aughts, its legacy has been put under a microscope,...

An idyllic setting, charming cast, and sweet love story are often the ingredients needed for a good comfort watch. The desire to escape everyday pressures since the pandemic has seen viewers like myself going back to old favorites such as Gilmore Girls or finding something newer like Virgin River, currently streaming its fifth season on Netflix.
With each season reaching Netflix’s top ten, Virgin River has capitalized on fan’s love of Robyn Carr’s 21-book-long series of the same name and our increasing impulse to find new shows that don’t require too much of our attention. Virgin River is precisely that as it lacks terror-inducing Jaws music and instead provides Hallmark-esque vibes with the added dash of danger from the illegal drug trade surrounding the town.

Stars Hollow has always felt like a comfortable and quaint little fictional town. The town is part of the reason Gilmore Girls still appeals to fans years after the original series ended. Paris Geller, however, once insisted that the quiet hamlet must have a seedy underbelly, and frankly, some fans agree. These three Gilmore Girls fan theories suggest there are residents of Stars Hollow that are hiding big secrets.
‘Gilmore Girls fan theory #1: Kirk was a spy
Kirk Gleason’s backstory is a confusing one. While he claims to have grown up in Stars Hollow, longtime residents don’t seem to remember him. For example, Miss Patty had no idea who he was, despite later claiming him as a pupil. He also claimed to have a dozen siblings, but no one in town knew anything about them.

Lorelai, Rory, and Emily Gilmore may have been family, but each woman had a unique personality, desires, and expectations. Emily, the Gilmore family matriarch, was proper and poised. Lorelai was free-spirited and fun, and Rory was studious but prone to anxiety and insecurities. While each Gilmore lady was unique, they proved they had at least one thing in common during Gilmore Girls. All three women had a gift for party and event planning.
Emily Gilmore was an organizational mastermind with an eye for perfection
Emily Gilmore never held a job in a traditional sense. She moved from her parents’ house to the sorority house, to the home she shared with Richard Gilmore. Emily seemed to have some insecurity about that over the years, but her contributions to her family and their life should never be forgotten.

Gilmore Girls remains one of the most-watched legacy shows in Netflix’s catalog. The series and its revival, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, amass new fans daily. Those fans are clamoring for a second reboot. While many television sets worldwide still play Gilmore Girls, you won’t find the series being binged in Melissa McCarthy’s house, despite her connection to the show. In a recent interview, McCarthy revealed that she doesn’t watch Gilmore Girls in her own house because she’s afraid paramedics will find her watching her own content and think it’s weird.

Gilmore Girls fans have spent years debating all aspects of the famed dramedy, but only a few people have stopped to question where the Gilmores family name came from. The show’s key costumer, Valerie Campbell, recently revealed what inspired the family’s surname and the show’s title. Apparently, the Gilmore name was inspired by Gilmore Oil, a famed oil company from the early 1900s. Does that mean Richard Gilmore’s father was an oil tycoon, though?

Gilmore Girls fans have spent years wondering if a second revival will ever become a reality. The further they get from the 2016 Netflix event, the less likely it seems, but some recent developments in the TV landscape, particularly in the Gilmore Girls universe, have sparked renewed hope. The recent cancelation of The Resident is just one more star that seems to be aligning for a potential reunion.
Fox has canceled ‘The Resident’ after six seasons
Fox has called it quits on their medical drama The Resident. Entertainment Weekly confirmed the cancelation on Apr. 6, although fans suspected season 6 would be the show’s last before the official announcement was made. Season 6 wrapped in January, but Fox remained quiet about the show’s future until now.
So, why does The Resident’s cancelation matter to Gilmore Girls fans? A familiar face starred in the series. Matt Czuchry took on the role of Dr.

Luke Danes and Lorelai Gilmore ended up together in the end. The Gilmore Girls couple were our endgame couple all along. Still, it took until season 5 for their relationship to be truly realized. There was plenty of foreshadowing along the way, and a lot of aspects of the couple’s lives were affected by their feelings for each other. We collected three instances in Gilmore Girls when Luke’s feelings for Lorelai actually affected his business.
Luke Danes’ business was shuttered when he needed to drive Lorelai to the hospital
Luke Danes didn’t take many days off. He didn’t shut down his diner, except for on his dark day, and he didn’t close early. He did all of that if Lorelai Gilmore required help, though. In season 1 of Gilmore Girls, Luke shuttered the diner while people were still eating, all so he could drive Lorelai where she needed to go.

When fans reconnected with Rory Gilmore in Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, she was listless, anxious, and unsure of how to proceed with her personal and professional lives. She had so much promise, insisted fans, and showrunner Amy Sherman-Palladino, destroyed all of that potential by making Rory entitled and a professional failure, to a degree. Some fans think Rory acted completely out of character in the revival. What if that wasn’t the case, though? What if Rory’s fall from grace was 100% realistic and predictable? There is evidence to support the theory.
There was evidence that Rory would falter in the original series
Rory was portrayed as the golden child in Gilmore Girls. She succeeded wildly at an academically rigorous prep school. Everyone in Stars Hollow loved her, and she was at ease around her grandparents’ high-society pals. Rory was everything Richard and Emily Gilmore had hoped Lorelai Gilmore would be.

Most of the mother-daughter drama on Gilmore Girls happened between Lorelai and Emily Gilmore. Still, Rory and Lorelai Gilmore had a few fights during the show’s seven-season run. A couple of those fights were really big ones, too. We’ve collected three of the famed duo’s dumbest arguments.
Lorelai accusing Rory of stretching out her sweaters was among the pettiest arguments the duo ever had
Showrunner Amy Sherman-Palladino wanted to establish Rory and Lorelai Gilmore as friends more than mother and daughter early on in Gilmore Girls. One of the ways she did that was by injecting petty arguments into their daily interactions. In the third episode of the series, Rory and Lorelai argue over a sweater.

Luke Danes and Lorelai Gilmore were the endgame couple of Gilmore Girls, and for a good reason. Fans waited four long seasons to see the perky inn owner and the surly diner owner finally kiss. For those four seasons, showrunner Amy Sherman-Palladino turned up the heat on the character’s sexual tension. While things started to heat up in season 3, if we look closely, there were a lot of moments that foreshadowed their future love affair in the show’s very first season. We’ve collected the most obvious examples.
‘Gilmore Girls’ fans think Amy Sherman-Palladino foreshadowed Luke and Lorelai’s relationship in the pilot
Throughout season 1 of Gilmore Girls, Luke, and Lorelai’s future romance was hinted at. Fans are certain the decision was a purposeful one. They even think the opening scene, in which Lorelai begged Luke for another cup of coffee, was the first instance of foreshadowing.

Gilmore Girls fans have a lot of opinions about the show’s characters. Characters like Luke Danes and Babette Dell are almost universally beloved, while others are more divisive. Emily Gilmore is one of the most debated characters on Gilmore Girls. While some fans love her, others hate her. We think she has a lot of good qualities, and we are here to defend the Gilmore matriarch.
Emily Gilmore always wanted what was best for Lorelai and Rory
Emily Gilmore was a woman on a mission to ensure her family succeeded. In many ways, she felt like she had failed Lorelai Gilmore and thought perhaps she could right a wrong through Rory Gilmore. Rory was actually perfect for the job. While she was smart and beautiful, just like her mother, she lacked her independent streak and natural inclination to fight against authority.

Rory Gilmore and Dean Forrester were not meant to be. Gilmore Girls fans largely agree that the high school sweethearts were not supposed to last forever. Still, the relationship was important in Rory Gilmore’s life. Let’s review everything that happened between Rory and Dean.

Dean Forrester might have been the new kid in Stars Hollow, but he didn’t waste any time finding a girlfriend. Dean and Rory met in the hallways of Stars Hollow High School moments before Rory transferred to Chilton. Despite not attending the same school, Dean pursued Rory, and the duo officially became a couple on Rory’s 16th birthday.

Gilmore Girls remains one of the most popular streaming series on Netflix right now. While the original series ended its run in 2007, it’s amassed new fans each year. The series remains popular because of its generally wholesome storylines and quaint setting. Not everything about Gilmore Girls was all that wholesome, though. Several side plots were creepy. We’ve collected three Gilmore Girls storylines that we believe are extraordinarily creepy when you think about it.
Kirk Gleason amassing a jewelry collection from elderly women was one of the creepiest ‘Gilmore Girls’ storylines
Kirk Gleason was Stars Hollow’s most eccentric resident. Still, he is beloved by Gilmore Girls fans, and we totally get why. He seemed mostly harmless and well-intentioned. Every so often, though, Kirk made a really strange revelation.

Gilmore Girls had several important plot points that drove the story forward. Lorelai Gilmore’s teen pregnancy was the thread that wove everything together. Lorelai’s pregnancy was mentioned countless times during the show’s seven-season run. While Emily Gilmore assured Rory Gilmore that she was never seen as a “mistake,” there were certainly a lot of hard feelings about the expectations Lorelai never fulfilled. So, what would Lorelai Gilmore’s life looked like if she hadn’t gotten pregnant? The show hinted at it multiple times.
If Lorelai Gilmore had never gotten pregnant, she probably would have gone to Vassar College
Lorelai’s teen pregnancy ended her academic career as she knew it, but Lorelai wasn’t a wayward teen who happened to get pregnant. Apparently, Lorelai was rather bright and had a ton of potential. Richard and Emily Gilmore expected Lorelai to leave her prep school and head on to Vassar College.

For one delightful yet short-lived season from 2012-2013, Amy Sherman-Palladino's "Bunheads" appeared on ABC Family. According to Fast Company, the network was searching for their own version of the hit musical series "Glee," but Sherman-Palladino convinced them to focus on dance instead. The title "Bunheads" is based on an obscure slang term for ballerinas, and perhaps it was this niche perspective that led to the series' swift cancellation.

Jack Reacher is famously a drifter, a hobo. He doesnt stay in one place for long. Having righted wrongs in sleepy Margrave, Ga. with its freshman run, where will Prime Video’s Reacher travel to next? Which of Lee Child’s 25 other novels will it use as a road map?
Season 1 of Prime Video’s already-renewed hit adapted Child’s first Jack Reacher, The Killing Floor. Child’s dozens of subsequent novels about the mountain of a former military man sent him to other small towns, but also big cities. He has dealt with local, intimate threats, but he has also protected a Vice President-Elect.

The critically-acclaimed show confirmed the casting news by sharing a sneak peek at Kelly's character, who looks just fierce by the way. In a video shared on the Mrs. Maisel Instagram account, the 77-year-old actress is seen walking to set dressed in a fabulously stripped coat, teal gloves and maroon hat. And it seems as though Kelly's Mrs. Maisel character shares some traits with the Gilmore matriarch as she kept a steely stare for the entire video. "If looks could kill," the caption read....

“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and her husband and co-writer/director/producer Daniel Palladino are such big fans of Alex Borstein that they wrote the role role of comedy manager Susie Myerson just for her.
