Tensions and jealousy mount as Derrick becomes inappropriate with his flirtations. Things get even worse when the owners of the Away Pod go missing and Hope discovers Derrick has a dark secret he’s keeping from them all. Wanted by the police for a botched robbery and murder, there’s nothing Derrick won’t do to protect his secret even if it means killing his precious Hope.

The 2022 slate features films starring Ne-Yo, Sereyah, Romeo Miller, LeToya Luckett and Lala Milan, as well as returning BET+ holiday movie staples like Jasmine Guy, Terrence Carson and Dorien Wilson. The titles come from directors and writers including Victoria Rowell (who also appears in “A Christmas Gift”), Robin Givens, Bree West and Patricia Cuffie Jones.
“We’re committed to bringing quality Black stories to the screen and the holidays are no exception,” BET+ executive vice president and general manager Devin Griffin said. “Year after year, our members devour holiday programming; in fact, our original holiday films continue to out-perform, which is why we’re committed to growing our investment in this area of the service. For the first time since they shared the screen on NBC hospital drama “ER,” Eriq La Salle and Gloria Reuben are teaming up as co-stars. The two star in Hallmark’s “A Second Chance at Love,” alongside Alvina August and Jarod Joseph, Hallmark announced Wednesday.
The actors will play divorced parents Jack (La Salle) and Brenda (Reuben) to daughter Alicia (August), and in-laws to Alicia’s husband, Arnold (Joseph). According to a logline from Hallmark, the younger couple’s marriage is “picture perfect, however, there is something amiss.” While Arnold is ready to expand their brood, Alicia has been hesitant. “Rather than face the problem head on, Alicia, the self-proclaimed ‘love doctor,’ immerses herself in her divorced parents Jack (La Salle) and Brenda’s (Reuben) dating affairs by setting them each up on a blind date dating app,” per the network.

Sometimes, you're right where you need to be with your television viewing.
For me, that means that I've been watching Gloria Reuben and Eriq La Salle nightly with my rewatch of NBC's ER.
Now, Hallmark is offering something completely different as Reuben and La Salle reconnect for A Second Chance at Love, airing on Saturday, March 26 on Hallmark Channel.
For those of you who watched ER, you know that La Salle played resident and surgeon Peter Benton, who wasn't always beloved by his coworkers.
Reuben's Jeanie Boulet, a married Pa, fell for Peter, and the two had a torrid affair in which she broke his heart.
A Second Chance at Love might not give Peter and Jeanie a second chance, but now, decades later, Rueben and La Salle will be sharing the screen once again with a story about reigniting old passions.

In A Second Chance At Love, on the surface, Alicia (August) and Arnold’s (Joseph) marriage is picture perfect, however, there is something amiss. Arnold is ready to grow their family, but subconsciously Alicia is hesitant to the idea. Rather than face the problem head on, Alicia, the self-proclaimed “love doctor,” immerses herself in her divorced parents Jack (La Salle) and Brenda’s (Reuben) dating affairs by setting them each up on a blind date dating app.
The casting marks the first time La Salle and Reuben will appear on screen together since they starred as Peter Benton and Jeanie Boulet, respectively, on NBC’s hit series ER,...
