Matthew Kic and Mike Sorce, rising scribes who have twice had scripts on the Black List, have been tapped to pen the screenplay for what is intended to be a live-action feature.
Aron Levitz, David Madden and Jason Goldberg will produce for Wattpad Webtoon. Robert Kirkman, David Alpert and Rick Jacobs are producing the film via Skybound. Skybound’s Fred D. Lee will oversee the project.

Exclusive: Skybound Entertainment, the company founded by The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman, is staffing up.
The company has hired Fred D. Lee as VP, Film and Television.
He joins from Nickelodeon and Awesomeness, where he produced live-action features for Paramount+.
Reporting to Rick Jacobs, Managing Partner, Linear Content, Lee will focus on expanding and guiding Skybound’s feature slate of commercial genre fare in the U.S. and international markets.
Projects include Hardcore at Universal with Adam Wingard directing; Stealth at Universal with Lee Daniels directing; and Oblivion Song at New Republic Pictures with Jake Gyllenhaal attached to produce and star.
At Paramount+, he produced Honor Society, directed by Oran Zegman and starring Angourie Rice, Gaten Matarazzo, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and Jojo Siwa’s The J Team.

Paramount+ has set a release date for its upcoming YA film “Honor Society.”
The coming-of-age story will debut on the service toward the end of July. Starring Gaten Matarazzo and Angourie Rice, “Honor Society” explores the costs and rewards of being a tenaciously ambitious young woman in the modern world.
The film also stars Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Armani Jackson, Amy Keum and Ben Jackson Walker.
Rice plays Honor, an ambitious high school senior whose sole focus is getting into Harvard, assuming she can first score the coveted recommendation from her guidance counselor, Mr. Calvin (Mintz-Plasse).

After news broke that HBO was set to make a limited TV series based on Bong Joon Ho’s Oscar-nominated thriller Parasite, the #bonghive came alive asking how the series would follow the film and how it would deal with the ending’s dark twist.
