It is absolutely unbelievable, but we've almost reached the end of Grey's Anatomy's twentieth season.
This week, tons of excitement is happening at Grey Sloan as the writers get us ready for next week's season finale.
Catherine has discovered the truth about what Meredith has been up to, and she's out for blood on Grey's Anatomy Season 20 Episode 9.
This week was pretty fast-paced, which was a nice change after a few slower episodes that focused more on surgical cases than character development.
The first big reveal of the hour was the return of Maggie Pierce, a divisive character the likes of whom we haven't seen in about a year.
People have strong feelings about this character and how she fits into the Grey's Anatomy universe, but I have always loved her.
I'll always be a sucker for the way the writers tied Meredith, Maggie, and Amelia together into a sisterhood,...

Is anyone else getting tired of filler?
While there were some strong moments during Grey's Anatomy Season 20 Episode 7, it's also evident that the series is full of filler, and we have a lot to say about that.
Join Grey's Fanatics Haley Whitmire White, Lucy Peel, and Jasmine Blu as they discuss it all.
Do you enjoy these medical case-focused installments, or are you missing the interpersonal drama?
Haley: It's fine, but I miss old Grey's with the drama, big events, and crises. The filler episodes are a little boring. This particular one was great, though, and I was glad to see the writers shed light on another very serious issue (high rates of maternal mortality among Black women).
Lucy: I really enjoyed the episode. I was happy to have a break from the petty back-and-forth.
And while it was medically focused, it moved everyone's stories forward just a bit.

Dr. Mika Yasuda is going to be the first of the new surgical interns to leave Grey Sloan. Midori Francis will be leaving Grey’s Anatomy in Season 21, Deadline reports. ABC has not confirmed Francis’ exit. Francis is reportedly in negotiations to return in Season 21 for “several episodes” to wrap up Yasuda’s journey on the show. According to Deadline, this was an “amicable decision” because Francis has been “looking to branch out for the next step of her career.” Francis was cast ahead of Season 19 when the long-running medical drama introduced a new batch of surgical interns. The Dash & Lily alum joined Grey’s Anatomy alongside Adelaide Kane, Niko Terho, Alexis Floyd, and Harry Shum Jr. Yasuda has quickly found her place at Grey Sloan. Teddy (Kim Raver) has become a pivotal mentor for Yasuda. The young doctor has also started seeing Helm, but there’s been some tension ever...

It was an easy, breezy installment, but some noteworthy moments.
We have Yasuda leading the pack as best intern on Grey's Anatomy Season 20 Episode 6, while Simone and Blue continued to bond.
And Beltran had to juggle Levi and Amelink.
Join the discussion with Haley Whitmire White, Lucy Peel, and Jasmine Blu!
What were your overall thoughts on this episode?
Haley: It was fine for a filler episode. Nothing terribly exciting happened, but it set up several potential big storylines. A couple of moments made me think we're in for some pretty big reveals towards the end of the season.
Lucy: I liked seeing different pairings here. Link and Beltran, Webber and Adams, Kwan and Griffith. Otherwise, I was underwhelmed. I am sure we're in for a big season finale, possibly disaster-centric.
Jasmine: I think this has been an interesting season because it feels like a "filler season." They haven't...

Rise of the Ronin has been released worldwide for quite some time and the gaming community is astonished with the diverse selection of weapons and insane combat. Set during the Bakumatsu period in Japan, players step into the role of a ronin as they take on odd jobs.
The developers found the inspiration they needed from Sucker Punch Productions’ Ghost of Tsushima and revealed how it influenced the team to take on the open-world structure while staying true to the core of the Soulslike genre.

Rise of the Ronin, the PlayStation 5 exclusive title from Team Ninja, has been out for a while now and has received “generally favorable” reviews as per Metacritic. The game has been praised for its smooth and thrilling combat, beautiful open-world design, Bakumatsu-inspired setting, and more.
The game features incredible storytelling and gameplay that has really impressed players, and the developers at Team Ninja have abandoned realism at times to get that. Although it may have caused issues, the developers have done it in the best ways possible so that players don’t even notice.

Rise of the Ronin has been released for the PlayStation 5, and the general reception has been extremely positive. It seems like Sony has yet again found success with the help of Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja. This game is the developers’ first open-world title, and the large scale requires different forms of traversal.
Players will have various options to explore the map, from horseback on land to grappling hooks to clinging to ledges and gliding through the air. Team Ninja has proof that gliding was possible back then.
History is an Advantage for Rise of the Ronin
Traveling on horseback is one of the many ways to explore in Rise of the Ronin.
In an interview, game director Fumihiko Yasuda was well-aware of the skepticism surrounding one of the traversal options, which is gliding. Yasuda believes that flight was achievable back during the Bakumatsu period because of historical evidence and blueprints that were uncovered.

Team Ninja’s latest project, Rise of the Ronin, was finally released about a month ago. Reviews have been average to positive, making it an overall success for the Japanese studio. Grey's Anatomy Round Table: Did Arizona's Big Return Underwhelm?Did They Drop the Ball with Calzona?
Arizona Robbins made her grand return.
But did her reappearance on Grey's Anatomy Season 20 Episode 4 live up to the hype? Elsewhere, Lucas moves in with Amelia, and Jules deals with her brother in a pretty uneventful episode.
Join Haley Whitmire White, Sara Trimble, and Lucy Peel as they discuss the hour.
What are your thoughts on Arizona's big return? Do you feel like there were some missed opportunities?
Haley: I love Arizona, and I've missed her. It was great to see her back, especially in the capacity of a world-renowned fetal surgeon.
It's amazing to see how far her career has come. But yes, I definitely think there were some missed opportunities. Why didn't anyone ask about how Callie and Sofia were doing?
It seems weird that none of that would get brought up. Are Callie and Arizona together? Come on, now. I need answers.

Baby Shepherd is the "problem child" of the new interns.
Lucas was not behaving in an agreeable or likable manner during Grey's Anatomy Season 20 Episode 3.
Meanwhile, Mer was back to get funding for her covert research, and Winston made a huge decision regarding his relationship with Maggie and his future.
Our Grey's Anatomy Round Table convened to discuss what some feel was a very nostalgic hour.
Join Sara Trimble, Lucy Peel, and Haley Whitmire White as they unpack the hour.
What the heck are they doing with Lucas? What do you make of him being a jerk to everyone and now leaving?
Sara: I'm appalled at seeing Lucas' behavior. I get he's mad at Simone for her back-and-forth behavior. But that doesn't mean he has the right to be a job-thieving jerk. He should have spoken up and given Yasuda credit for what was happening, especially after she declared them friends.

Things are messy with a capital "M" at Grey Sloan Memorial.
Turmoil abounds as relationships have splintered, secrecy looms, and trouble is right around the corner on Grey's Anatomy Season 20 Episode 3.
Let the record show that presently, a girl wants to wrap Yasuda and Levi up in a blanket and hold them because they had a tough installment.
So did Teddy, but she mainly seemed okay with it all, even though she faceplanted on a treadmill like Maya Bishop.
Seriously, what is up with the Grey's Universe and treadmills? In conclusion, exercising is the worst.
Meredith was back for this installment, but if it was one time when her presence seemed a bit off and unnecessary, it was this one.
It felt like the scenes she appeared in could've gotten put into a much bigger episode that pushed the Alzheimers plot and her penchant for going rogue to the forefront.

Director Fumihiko Yasuda has revealed the games that served as an inspiration for Rise of the Ronin, his first-ever open-world game.
In a recent interview with Vgc, Yasuda mentioned he was playing games like Assassin’s Creed and Red Dead Redemption while conceptualizing Rise of the Ronin. The idea for developing an expansive open-world game while staying true to Team Ninja’s mastery in Ninja/ Samurai games was ruminating in Yasuda’s head around eight years ago.
While Team Ninja is popular for its high-stakes and fast-paced action games, Ronin is the developer’s first open-world title. In its previous titles, like Nioh and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, Team Ninja focused on tight pacing, high-stakes, and parry-driven combat. It designed gameplay levels that would reflect and complement the developer’s focus on combat.
With Rise of the Ronin, the developer wanted to offer players the liberty to engage with the game...

With so few episodes in the season, should we have more plot movement?
It's one of many questions that crossed our round table's mind after Grey's Anatomy Season 20 Episode 2.
It was an episode in which very little happened to move the plot along, but Lucas and Simone called it quits, and a lonely Amelia bounced around.

How do you feel about this episode and the minimal plot development? Do you enjoy episodes that focus on cases and character-building?
Haley: It's funny — while I was watching it, I was taking mental notes in preparation for our round table, and I was thinking, "Wow, this episode is Boring."
Normally, I'm fine with episodes that bring us into the Grey's universe without any dramatic events, but come on, it's a short season!

It’s barely been a couple of days since the release of Team Ninja’s Rise of the Ronin. Going by the reviews, however, those who have so far rated the game positively believe the game should be given enough chance before being slammed immediately.

Without a doubt, Soulslike games are very popular right now among the gaming community and it is all because of the Japanese video game development and publishing company, FromSoftware. Their Demon’s Souls and the Dark Souls series popularised this subgenre of action role-playing. These video games are known for their high difficulty levels in a dark fantasy setting.
Team Ninja’s Rise of the Ronin
In the past two decades, FromSoftware has successfully mastered the art of creating Soulslike games, but now, other video game studios are trying to follow in their footsteps. Team Ninja’s latest action-role-playing video game, Rise of the Rōnin, has adopted the classic Soulslike game difficulty as it punishes the players for dying. It was an understated hour of Grey's Anatomy.
A lot of fun little tidbits happened during Grey's Anatomy Season 20 Episode 2, but not enough to move the plot forward outside of the Simone and Lucas development.
But overall, the hour was purely just vibing as we coast into bigger storylines.
More than anything, we got to spend some quality time with the interns and revel in their fun antics that continue to capture the nostalgic feel of Grey's from yesteryear.
The interns are genuinely a fun bunch to watch, and this hour allowed us to do so unimpeded for the most part.
We got to see Bailey in her true form as the mentor and leader of the interns.
But as the hour progressed, it was evident that sometimes, she had to adapt to a different herd of young doctors and the times.
My class didn't screw up like yours did!

Remake or remaster? A lot of people get that terminology confused when it comes to developers revisiting games from years ago to bring them to modern audiences. It’s even more puzzling that Dragami Games president Yoshimi Yasuda took to X last night to state that their upcoming Lollipop Chainsaw revisit, titled Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP, is now being pushed as a remaster instead of a remake.
Yasuda stated that based on “your” requests, Dragami Games has “changed the game design” of the 2012 Grasshopper Manufacture-developed game to be a remaster. What exactly this means is unclear, seeing as we have yet to see any screenshots or receive any further information about RePOP since it was announced last year.
This does fall in line with the initial confusion that happened back in July of last year with regards to what Yasuda had said about RePOP having “a more realistic look”. Dragami issued a statement soon after,...

Novelist Shohei Ooka would captivate readers with his anti-war novel “Fires on the Plain,” published in 1951. Inspired by his personal experiences from being drafted as a soldier, Ooka's chilling story depicts the gruesome violence and insanity that occurred during the Imperial Japanese Army's last stand in the Philippines on the island of Leyte during World War II. The award-winning book was praised for its gripping storytelling and raw examination of the horrors of war. With the success of the title, there were talks for a film adaptation for quite a while. Eventually, the nightmarish narrative would be superbly adapted for cinemas with Kon Ichikawa's “Fires on the Plain.”

Is a party really a party without a pooper? The question was rhetorical in Thursday’s Grey’s Anatomy as the residents’ blowout at Mer’s house included in the festivities — cue the sad trombone — Simone’s estranged fiancé, Trey. Did she admit to him that, at this point, he was yesterday’s news and Lucas, tomorrow’s? Read on, and we’ll discuss not only that turning point but how Blue and Jules spent their fateful evening at Grey Sloan and whether the talk was anything but small when Teddy and Owen had a double date with Bailey and Ben.

Welcome to Grey’s Anatomy without Ellen Pompeo making rounds as Meredith Grey. Pompeo is down to guest-star status for now, after her character moved across the country last week. But at least we got Mer narrating the start of the ABC medical drama’s March 2 episode: Season 19, Episode 8, “All Star.” [Warning: The below contains major spoilers for the Grey’s Anatomy Season 19, Episode 8, “All Star.”] As the episode starts, Griffith (Alexis Floyd), Adams (Niko Terho), Yasuda (Midori Francis) are repainting Mer’s old house… and bickering over which of them gets Mer’s old bedroom! The interns have more pressing matters at hand, though, including the patients of the week. And speaking of “pressing,” one of those patients is a young man who took on one Seattle restaurant’s “Pho-nomenal Challenge” — eating 3 pounds of noodles, 3 pounds of meat, and 3 pounds of broth — and now can’t poop. Luckily for him, Yasuda helps him get things, ahem, moving again.

But, as is the case for many of us, Horigai (Yui Sakuma) is approaching the end of her time in higher education but is far from ready for anything. Ryohei Yoshino’s third feature “Eternally Younger Than Those Idiots”, however, is an assured piece from a director that looks to be finding the right course.
