The Women’s Cancer Research Fund hosted its flagship fundraising event, “An Unforgettable Evening” Gala, in Beverly Hills on Wednesday night. Demi Moore received the Courage Award and philanthropist Wallis Annenberg was honored with the Unsung Hero Award.
The fundraising dinner – held at the Beverly Wilshire – was hosted by comedian Tig Notaro. The dinner marked the 25th anniversary of the event benefiting the Wcrf, which is a program of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

The Wallis Annenberg Center for Performing Arts announces today An Evening of Wicked Fun Honoring Stephen Schwartz, a Spring Celebration fundraising event presented by the legendary House of Harry Winston, highlighting the work of the award-winning composer/lyricist of classic musicals including Wicked, Pippin, Godspell, Enchanted and more.

Today, the Women's Cancer Research Fund (Wcrf) announced that global superstar and philanthropist Miley Cyrus will perform at An Unforgettable Evening.

The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts honored longtime entertainers and sisters Debbie Allen and Phylicia Rashad at Monday night’s “A Tale of Two Sisters,” a spring performance in homage to their lives and careers, and without the acknowledgement of their disgraced former colleague Bill Cosby.
The star-studded night featured musical performances from multiple stage veterans, including Jennifer Holliday, Maurice Hines, Gladys Knight, and Arturo Sandoval, as well as speeches from Halle Berry, Shonda Rhimes, Common, Norman Lear, Nigel Lythgoe, Raven-Symoné, and Alfre Woodard.
“This night is about our legacy — the work that we have done over so many decades,” Allen told Variety ahead of the performance. “We’re still so active doing what we do, we don’t stop to think about all that we have done.”

UK sales agent announces deal in Park City.
The UK’s Dogwoof has acquired international sales rights to Amazon Studios’ Sundance selection Generation Wealth directed by Lauren Greenfield and will introduce to buyers at the Efm next month.
The Doc Premieres entry premiered on opening night (January 18) and comes six years after Greenfield won the Sundance documentary directing award for The Queen Of Versailles.
Dogwoof will commence sales in Berlin on Generation Wealth, which will receive its international premiere at the Berlinale in the Panorama selection and provides a snapshot of materialistic, image-obsessed culture in the Us.
The Doc Premieres selection highlights the growing gap between the haves and the have-nots, and the lengths people will go to in order to attain the trappings of success.
