Fifth Season owner Cj Enm has a new scripted chief in the U.S.
Elsie Choi has joined Cj Enm America as Head of Scripted TV, effective immediately and will report to the South Korean company’s U.S. Scripted President, Angela Killoren.
She’ll work out of LA and focus on Cj Enm’s mission to develop and produce inclusive original series globally. Choi will be the creative point of contact for the company and its internationally-based subsidiary/affiliate content studios in the U.S. Furthermore, she’ll look to adapt titles from Cj’s library for English-speaking and global audiences.

Korean entertainment giant Cj Enm has hired Los Angeles-based producer Elsie Choi to serve as head of scripted TV at its U.S. office.
Choi most recently served as an executive producer on 20th Television/Hulu TV’s upcoming series Interior Chinatown, based on Charles Yu. It stars Jimmy O. Yang and is directed by Taika Waititi.

In her new role, Choi will develop and produce original series that seek to further the company’s mission to create inclusive narratives globally. She will serve as the creative point of contact for Cj Enm and its internationally based subsidiaries and affiliate content studios in the United States. She’s also tasked with helping to expand the company’s footprint by adapting titles from its extensive library for English-speaking and global audiences.
