Rahim Handy has established himself as one of the most vitally important new voices in modern media culture. Through film and music, he is committed to telling stories that matter about people who matter - stories that start conversation, build community, and inspire positive social change. Rahim's work has already seen him brushing shoulders with A-list talent, particularly in the hip-hop world. Now, with the most compelling content of his burgeoning career, he is on the brink of becoming a nationally recognized figure.
Rahim is best known for the acclaimed documentary 'The Dream Chaser,' in which he interviewed nearly 100 of the most beloved individuals in the hip-hop community. The resulting documentary provides brilliant insight on the people who are shaping music and culture across the country. He has since built up an award winning filmography, including several documentaries and commercial projects, notably for TV ONE and the Military Yellow Ribbon Program.
In 2010, Rahim launched Clear Motion Films (originally Still A Savage Media Group). The company has since produced over a thousand videos, including projects for iconic artists such as Future, Naughty By Nature, and Runt Dog, as well as respected organizations such as Potters House Church in Dallas. His background as an Audio Engineer has enabled him to connect with musicians on a deeper level, resulting in exceptionally fruitful collaborations.
Prior to launching his career, Rahim studied at both Berklee College of Music and the University of Texas at Arlington's Film School. He was mentored by celebrated filmmaker Norry Niven, an experience which prepared him for his diverse and ambitious career. Through his commercial work with Norry, he was honored with ADDY, CLIO & REMY Awards.
Based in Dallas, Rahim continues to build his evolve as an artist and an individual. He is a much-needed voice for the unheard, willing to explore the most difficult topics facing society today. With several new projects in the works, Rahim is poised to create a powerful body of work that will help bring about meaningful change in the world.
