It's rare that viewers still don't know the truth by the end of an hour of Law & Order.
But Law & Order Season 23 Episode 2 featured an accused murderer who claimed a billionaire went to a ton of trouble to frame him and a last-minute security video that may or may not have been faked, and no clues as to who was telling the truth.
As the credits rolled, Price worried about how he was supposed to do his job when the lines between real and fake were so blurred, leaving viewers to scratch their heads about what the truth was here.
That was the point, of course.
This story bordered on dystopian, featuring AI technology so good that it was impossible to tell whether a video was real or fake. It imposed that confusion on viewers to make its point.

Welcome to this week’s review of Nxt, right here on Nerdly. Let’s get straight into it and see what went down in this episode…
Match #1: Blair Davenport def. Nikkita Lyons The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Despite months of anticipation and pent-up frustration, Nikkita Lyons couldn’t exact payback on the Superstar that injured her, Blair Davenport. The two rivals brawled before the match even began, and the action continued once the bell rang as both Superstars pummeled each other. Lyons was determined, but Davenport kept attacking her previously injured knee, with a chop block and a vicious knee strike securing her victory.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic – Bron Breakker & Baron Corbin def. Gallus The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

The list includes actors, directors, writers, producers, musicians, executives, artist reps, publicists and below-the-liners such as casting directors, cinematographers, costume designers, film editors, makeup artists and hairstylists, production designers and sound pros.
“The Academy is proud to welcome these artists and professionals into our membership,” Academy CEO Bill Kramer and Academy President Janet Yang said in a statement. “They represent extraordinary global talent across cinematic disciplines and have made a vital impact on the arts and sciences of motion pictures and on movie fans worldwide.”

Secret Invasion stars Samuel L. Jackson and Olivia Colman are thrilled to be a part of a very different kind of Marvel story. Their mature espionage thriller dives deeper into Nick Fury, grappling with the Avengers founder’s age and post-blip malaise. His decline is so noticeable that Fury’s inner circle have considerable doubt whether he can do anything to stop the Skrull rebellion that Kingsley Ben-Adir’s Gravik is leading to devastating effect.
“[The bad guy] actually referred to Fury as ‘vapors of himself,’ which is harsh,” Jackson tells The Hollywood Reporter. “So it’s time to reassess or reevaluate who you are, what you’re doing and how you’re doing it. And throughout the course of this series, he finds ways to strengthen himself so that he can be up to the task at hand.”
Colman, who’d been lobbying to join the MCU for years, makes her debut as Sonya Falsworth,...

Henry was so excited celebrating that he was moving on to the next round that he dislocated his shoulder while pumping his fists in the air in victory too hard. When teenagers commit violent crimes, things get complicated.
Technically, they're still kids -- but if a crime is sufficiently heinous, is it fair to argue a sixteen-year-old didn't know any better?
Law & Order Season 22 Episode 20 examined this thorny issue. It didn't come up with any answers, instead giving viewers several perspectives to consider.
There were a lot of factors to consider, not the least of which was that Aaron Cole was a white kid whose parents were wealthy, while Black kids who committed similar crimes were tried as adults.
McCoy and Price were both right on this one. Price didn't think treating Aaron unfairly helped the situation, which it didn't. But there was no way to undo the injustice already done to Aaron's less wealthy peers of color.

Plot: A young girl finds herself struggling after her family moves away from the city. Based on the popular novel of the same name, by Judy Blume.
Review: My recollection of Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret is very vague. I knew Judy Blume and had perhaps read some of her books, but not this tale of a preteen girl. So even with the talent involved, I wasn’t excited about the movie. And then, I sat down for a screening. Perhaps it was the charms of the lovely and vibrant Rachel McAdams as Margaret’s mom? Sure. How about the excellent work of Kathy Bates as Margaret’s loving grandmother? Yes, yes, yes. And then there is the terrific Abby Ryder Fortson as Margaret. Yet, the superstar here is writer/director Kelly Fremon Craig. Let’s dig in and see if Margaret’s prayers get answered.

This story might have made some viewers angry, but it also might have saved some lives.
I'm transgender and know first-hand the suffering that goes along with being unable to express or be who you really are until well into adulthood.
Law & Order Season 22 Episode 19 did an excellent job showing various viewpoints surrounding this issue, but ultimately, Mrs. Myers' testimony drove the point home. And that is something that's badly needed right now.
The series gave more conservative viewpoints on this issue a fair hearing. While one of those voices was a parent who believed violence was the answer to his child's desire to transition, most of these people were not violent.
Cosgrove and Price represented people who had legitimate concerns about the process. I think they are misguided but certainly not evil. And Myers had the right to question whether this treatment was appropriate for his child --...

When U.K. soul singer Jessie Ware reinvented herself as a disco diva for 2020’s euphoric What’s Your Pleasure?, it seemed like it might be a pandemic-induced passing fancy—like baking or Zoom happy hours. That! Feels Good!, though, doubles down on its predecessor’s mission statement, answering the titular query with an enthusiastic exclamation.
That! Feels Good! is horn-ier and, if possible, hornier, opening with a moan and a bass groove that leaves no doubt about where things are headed. “That feels good, do it again,” Ware croons on the title track. The album is more Disco than What’s Your Pleasure?, leaning into the campier strains of disco music, with only a couple of detours into post-disco terrain like “Beautiful People.”
What’s Your Pleasure? boasts a more sophisticated, diverse palette—including Italo, house, and funk—but its follow-up’s fluffier philosophy reflects Ware’s obvious elation...
