If “The Voice” had a Mount Rushmore of coaches, three of the faces carved into its granite would no doubt be Niall Horan, Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson. Why? Because as of the Season 24 finale on December 19, they are the only coaches to have won two seasons in a row. That’s quite an impressive feat, especially considering the immense amount of talent that has graced the NBC reality TV show since its debut in 2011. See the updated “The Voice” winners list.
Niall joined the esteemed list on Tuesday night when Huntley, his 33-year-old artist from Fredericksburg, Virginia, won Season 24 over runner-up Ruby Leigh of Team Reba McEntire. That gave Niall back-to-back victories because he also prevailed in Season 23 with Illinois pop singer Gina Miles, who bested runner-up Grace West of Team Blake. Since Niall isn’t returning in the spring for Season 25, that means he will remain undefeated for the time being.

No singing genes for Kelly Clarkson’s kids. Or at least that’s what the Grammy winner’s hoping. Clarkson doesn’t want her two children to have any of her musical talents. Yes, really. The reason is, in part, because the industry’s especially “tough.” But also because Clarkson is “afraid of what kind of mom” she’d be if they were.
Clarkson doesn’t want to be a stage mom to her kids, Remington and River
The “Since U Been Gone” singer would be fine if her children, 2-year-old son Remington “Remy” Alexander and 4-year-old daughter River Rose, had nothing to do with the music industry.
Reacting to the possibility of her passing down her singing abilities to River and Remy at a press conference following The Voice season finale, Clarkson commented: “I seriously hope they are tone deaf” (via People).

As Season 24 of “The Voice” enters the exciting Battles stage of the competition, former coach and four-time champion Kelly Clarkson quietly informed fans of NBC’s reality TV show that their lives are going to suck without her as she will not be returning to the red chair any time soon. In conversation with “USA Today” earlier this week, Kelly discussed her relocation from Los Angeles to New York and how that ultimately meant she had to say “bye” to the singing competition.
Kelly has been a participant on “The Voice,” which she thankfully calls “family,” since Season 2 where she served as Blake Shelton‘s guest advisor during the Battles. But a moment like that was not enough for the iconic “American Idol” champ, leading Kelly to return in Season 13 as the Knockouts advisor to all four teams and then claim her own miss independence as a full-fledged coach from...

Season 23 will mark the end of an era for “The Voice.” Blake Shelton, the only coach to participate in every cycle since the reality TV competition began in 2011, will say goodbye. Blake and “The Voice” have been a mainstay of NBC’s spring schedule, typically kicking off in February or March and running through May. That wasn’t the case for 2022. For the first time in the show’s history, “The Voice” skipped the spring season, airing only last fall. but it’s back this year in its regular time slot.

During the third episode of “The Voice” Season 23 blind auditions, a 24-year-old contestant from Walnut, California made history by becoming the reality TV show’s first successful deaf contestant. Her name is simply Ali, but there’s nothing simple about her. “A fun fact about me is, I am hearing-impaired,” she explained to the shocked judging panel (watch above). “I wear two hearing aids. I was born deaf. I’m so blessed to be able to share this.”
Ali belted out “Killing Me Softly With His Song” on the big stage and earned two chair-turns from coaches Kelly Clarkson and Chance the Rapper. The other panelists, Niall Horan and Blake Shelton, remained planted in their seats but still praised her voice later in the show.

‘The Voice’ season 22 finale spotlight: Omar Jose Cardona hopes to make history for Team John Legend
When looking at the final five artists going into “The Voice” season 22 finale on Monday and Tuesday night, Omar Jose Cardona is on his back foot against four artists that earned more public votes than he did in the semi-finals. After the top 8 live show, Omar fell into the bottom half of the public vote and had to sing for the Instant Save. For that reason, he enters finale night as the long-shot to win with his eyes set on making series history as the first artist to win after being saved in the semis. Let’s look at his journey to the finals.

When the final five artists take the stage Monday and Tuesday night for “The Voice” season 22 finale, Morgan Myles will do so under the advisement of first-time coach Camila Cabello. Should Morgan win, it would be only the second time that a coach mentored an artist to win in their own first season. Kelly Clarkson was the first to achieve that feat on season 14 with Brynn Cartelli.
See Who deserves to win ‘The Voice’ season 22? Let your voice be heard! [Poll]
While the laurel of earning Camila a win is nothing to scoff at, Morgan winning would be an incredible feat for the artist that was not only the first performer in the Blind Auditions, but also the first four chair turn of the season. Morgan sang “Hallelujah” during that first impression and was so good that Camila jumped out of the gate with her only block to keep Morgan from joining Gwen Stefani‘s team.

Because he’s won “The Voice” eight times, Blake Shelton has a lot of different feathers in his cap. Among them is his ability to nurture the budding talents of teenage artists. Among his three artists entering the season 22 finale on Monday and Tuesday night is Brayden Lape, the small town singer from Michigan that was only 15 years old when he auditioned for the show. If Brayden wins, he’d be Team Blake’s third teenager to win and the seventh overall in series history.

Is the decade-long “The Voice” Instant Save curse about to be broken? If John Legend‘s Florida singer Omar Jose Cardona ends up winning Season 22 during the Tuesday, December 13 finale, he’ll make history as the first artist to prevail who was previously saved by social media users. Camila Cabello may be the rookie coach on Season 22 of “The Voice,” but the pop diva quickly proved she doesn’t back down from what she wants. On Monday’s premiere episode, Camila hit her block button on Gwen Stefani almost instantly after the first performance began. In “The Voice” Season 21 finale, Kelly Clarkson won her fourth career trophy thanks to the history-making trio known as Girl Named Tom. (Read our minute-by-minute recap.) The sibling band from Pettisville, Ohio is comprised of Caleb Liechty (26), Joshua Liechty (24) and Bekah Liechty (20) and will now forever be known as the first-ever group to win “The Voice.” It was a fitting end for Girl Named Tom, as they were the very first blind audition shown to audiences back in September, where they earned a four-chair turn.
Kelly’s previous three winners were Brynn Cartelli (Season 14), Chevel Shepherd (Season 15) and Jake Hoot (Season 17). At four total victories, Kelly has now broken her tie with former coach Adam Levine, who prevailed thrice with Javier Colon (Season 1), Tessanne Chin (Season 5) and Jordan Smith (Season 9).

Girl Named Tom has already made “The Voice” history after becoming the first trio to reach a finale in 21 seasons of NBC’s reality TV singing competition. The group of siblings on Team Kelly Clarkson comprised of Bekah, Caleb and Joshua Liechty currently resides in South Bend, Indiana. A win on Tuesday’s live finale would make them the first non-solo act to ever claim victory on “The Voice.”
Standing in their path to victory are three powerhouse vocalists and one of their own teammates. Team Blake Shelton has two shots at winning their coach his ninth title with genre-crossing diva Wendy Moten and R&b soul singer Paris Winningham. Team John Legend is represented by gospel artist Jershika Maple while Team Kelly’s teen pop singer Hailey Mia joins Girl Named Tom in the live finale. Ariana Grande failed to coach any artist to the finale in her rookie season.

The Knockouts for Season 20 of “The Voice” concluded on Monday, April 26, and three-time winning coach Kelly Clarkson will head into the live shows with one of her strongest teams to date. Her diverse collection of artists include country, pop, rock and R&b singers hoping to become Team Kelly’s fourth champion. Below is our power ranking of these five artists based on their likelihood of advancing to the next round.
The Top 17 will sing live for America’s vote on Monday, May 10 and the results will be announced on Tuesday, May 11. “The Road to Lives – 10th Anniversary Edition” will air the week prior on May 3. If the same format as last season is followed, the top vote-getter from each team will advance to the next round and each coach will then get to choose one more artist to represent them in the semi-finals. Grammy and Emmy winner Kelly Clarkson joined “The Voice” family full-time as a coach in Season 14, after previously serving as an advisor. She immediately proved her worth as a coach, winning with artists Brynn Cartelli (Season 14), Chevel Shepherd (Season 15) and Jake Hoot (Season 17). Now that the Season 20 blind auditions, battles and knockouts are over, can she prevail yet again on NBC’s reality TV show? Team Kelly’s current group of artists will next perform in the all-important live shows.

With the teams filling up on Night 5 of The Voice’s Season 20 Blind Auditions, the coaches were getting extra finicky. But they did manage to find a few standouts, among them a rocker whose “Zombie” cover left me dead (in a good way) and an R&b singer whose voice was so sweet, just listening to her felt like cheating on a diet. Read on, and we’ll go over all of Monday’s performances.

When Season 20 of “The Voice” kicks off March 1 on NBC, Kelly Clarkson will be the only female coach. She’ll once again be joined by Nick Jonas, John Legend and Blake Shelton on the judging panel, just like in Season 18. But Kelly doesn’t let being outnumbered get to her. “I’m cool when girls are on the show and I’m cool when they’re not because I do love hanging with guys, too,” she shares in NBC’s latest promo video (watch above). “This is a fun group. I love Nick, John and Blake. It’s like having three brothers on set.”

“The confetti and all of that big production stuff just felt absolutely surreal,” describes Carter Rubin as he recalls the moment host Carson Daly announced him as the Season 19 winner of “The Voice.” “I’ve been watching ‘The Voice’ for years and I see all of the winners and how they react. I joke around with my mom like, ‘Imagine, imagine,’ and now I’m actually one of those people. It’s completely insane.” Watch our exclusive interview with Carter in the video above. Just as Gold Derby predicted, the winner of “The Voice” Season 19 was Carter Rubin. This 15-year-old pop singer of Team Gwen Stefani beat out two members of Team Blake Shelton, Jim Ranger and Ian Flanigan, who had to settle for second and third place, respectively. After the confetti fell on “The Voice” finale, fans online started speculating about whether Jim and Ian split the vote, helping Carter to an easy victory. It’s not a bad theory. After all, these two country/rock artists both appealed to similar audiences.

The season 19 winner of “The Voice” was revealed at the end of the results show on Tuesday, December 15. Fans of the season 18 champ, Todd Tilghman, were disappointed that he was not among the many musical acts featured in the two hours leading up to the big reveal by Carson Daly. The tradition of “The Voice” has been that the previous season winner is showcased on the finale.
Last’s season’s live shows were also upended by the Covid-19 pandemic, which would explain why season 17 winner Jake Hoot was not part of the proceedings that saw Tilghman become coach Blake Shelton‘s lucky seventh winner. When Hoot won last December, the season 16 winner, Maelyn Jarmon, sang on the Christmas-themed finale. Conversely when Jarmon won for then rookie coach John Legend in the spring of 2019, the season 15 champion, Chevel Shepherd, was not part of the line-up of talent that performed before the big reveal.

“The Voice” season 19 finale will take place over two nights this week on December 14 and December 15 on NBC. Singing for the championship on Monday night are at least one artist from each coach’s team: DeSz for Team Kelly Clarkson, John Holiday for Team John Legend, Carter Rubin for Team Gwen Stefani, and both Jim Ranger and Ian Flanigan for Team Blake Shelton.
With only two weeks of Live Playoff performances under their belt — and only two weeks of seeing which artists earned the public’s vote — it’s tough to say with confidence which artist is best poised to win on Tuesday night. Our lives would suck without Kelly Clarkson. The pop singer known for her powerful pipes was introduced to us in the first season of “American Idol” on Fox in 2002, launching a career that spans the 21st century. She won that competition, but what are the best songs she has recorded since then? Scroll down to see how we rank her greatest hits. Do you agree with our pick for her number-one song of all time?

Is a long-standing “The Voice” curse about to be broken? If Blake Shelton‘s country singer Ian Flanigan ends up winning Season 19 during next week’s finale, he’ll make history as the first artist to prevail who was previously saved by Twitter. Since the instant save twist was first created in Season 6, no recipient has ever gone on to win “The Voice.” Britton Buchanan (Season 14) and Toneisha Harris (Season 18) came closest by each placing second behind their winners, but all of the other times the saved artist finished last in their respective finales.

Hey, Blake Shelton: Kelly Clarkson is coming for your title on “The Voice”! To date, Blake has coached a leading seven artists to victory out of his 18 total seasons, but that’s only a 39% success rate. Conversely, Kelly is at three wins out of her five seasons, a 60% success rate. She’s trying hard to narrow the gap between their numbers, and could take a step closer if one of her Season 19 semi-finalists — Desz or Cami Clune — ends up winning the competition. Who do you think has a better chance of making it happen? Vote in our poll below.

Now that “The Voice” blind auditions, battles and knockouts are behind us, Kelly Clarkson‘s team consists of exactly four artists heading into the Season 19 live shows. She immediately proved her worth as a coach, winning with artists Brynn Cartelli (Season 14), Chevel Shepherd (Season 15) and Jake Hoot (Season 17).

With just three weeks until The Voice returns for its 19th season, coach Kelly Clarkson is facing some serious legal competition.
The Grammy winner and talk show host was sued Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court by her longtime management company for failing to pay millions in commissions related to her stint on the NBC competition show and The Kelly Clarkson Show.
Under a verbal agreement in place since 2007, five years after Clarkson won the inaugural season of American Idol, Nashville-based Starstruck Management’s complaint says it is owned $1.4 million by the singer right now. And the Freedman + Taitelman-represented company claims Clarkson will be in hock to them to the tune of “at least $5,430,122.54 in estimated commissions.”
“Over the course of approximately thirteen years, Starstruck developed Clarkson into a mega superstar,” the breach of oral contract, declaratory relief and accounting filing states, with no small modesty. “By way of example only,...

Tuesday night during “The Voice’s” highly anticipated Season 18 finale, quarantined host Carson Daly took fans on a nostalgic journey through coaching panels of years past. However, did this 2020 season — starring Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Nick Jonas — have the best coaching panel to date?

The competition is on! As we approach the Season 18 live shows of “The Voice,” Kelly Clarkson has some choice words for rival coach Blake Shelton. “I think that Team Kelly can take it again this year and I would love to rub that in Shelton’s face,” she smiled during Monday night’s “Road to Live Shows” special. It’s always a risk when an aspiring singer on “The Voice” takes on a song from a well-known artist, but the risk is magnified tenfold when a contestant performs one of their own coach’s classics. Well, Megan Danielle did just that during Monday’s knockouts, belting out Kelly Clarkson‘s “Piece by Piece” while CammWess performed A Great Big World‘s “Say Something.” In the end, Kelly made a “strategic” decision to keep Megan and send home CammWess … but he wasn’t out just yet. John Legend and Nick Jonas both tried to steal CammWess for their teams, with the young artist going “back home” to Team Legend. Do you think Kelly made the right choice for her Season 18 team? Just one season after winning “The Voice” with country artist Jake Hoot, coach Kelly Clarkson is having a heck of a time convincing any male artists to join her Season 18 team. In fact, after four blind audition episodes Kelly has acquired only eight female artists with two spots still to be filled.
