Cristian Canova was born on August 14, 2000, in Pavia, Italy. Cristian began acting at the age of eight, but he had his professional debut on film at eighteen playing the bully Omar Jr in The Last Heroes (2019), a horror comedy on Amazon Prime.
He subsequently had main roles in several short films, playing the Sem in the drama Latte (2019), the foreigner Francesco in Arancio parallelo (2019), and the drug dealer in Until the End (2017).
During his teen years, Cristian attended the Teatro Fraschini theatre school, and he appeared in national and worldwide commercials and the Italian theatre scene, working with prominent directors such as Dante Ariola, Romeo Castellucci, Arturo Cirillo, and Angela Malfitano. For a time, Cristian also attended the Drama Centre in London.
Son of a Dominican mother and an Italian father, Cristian grew up in a diverse family, traveling and experiencing a variety of different cultures giving him a distinctive and international perspective that he proudly brings to his work.
