“Law & Order” executive producer Dick Wolf is continuing his foray in the unscripted business.
A&E has greenlit “D.O.A.” (working title), an eight-episode non-fiction series which will follow an elite team of detectives who will re-investigate controversial murder cases.
The team includes Chicago homicide police officer Michelle Wood; Miami detective Joe Schillaci, a 30-year veteran; and Kevin “Spider” Gannon, a retired NYPD detective.
The trio approach each case with no prior knowledge of the crime or the verdict, reworking the crime scene from the beginning and interviewing witnesses and forensic specialists.
The question is whether or not they ultimately agree with the original verdict.
