The Tom Hardy mini-series “Taboo,” about a 19th century diamond-dealing adventurer, has landed a director. Kristoffer Nyholm, the Danish filmmaker who directed the original Scandinavian version of crime drama “The Killing,” has signed on to direct the first four episodes of the eight-part dramatic miniseries, a representative for the filmmaker told TheWrap on Thursday. The period drama will follow Hardy (“Mad Max: Fury Road”) as rogue adventurer James Keziah Delaney, who returns from Africa in 1813 with 14 ill-gotten diamonds and is bent on avenging his father’s death.
