Playing in 14 markets abroad, the superhero sequel opened at No. 1 in all of them and set first-weekend records in Brazil, Mexico and the Philippines. “Civil War” is by far the best-reviewed film of the “Captain America” franchise, earning a 94 percent fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
