In the era of Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Kate McKinnon, Wanda Sykes, and so many others, it's hard to believe that anyone would say that. There was a time, however, when many did: perhaps most famously, Jerry Lewis. The truth, though, is that there have always been funny women, from Lucille Ball to Carol Burnett and many others.
