- Author and screenwriter Edward H. Mabley was educated at Wayne University. He was a member of the Directors Guild of America, the Writers Guild of America and the Dramatists Guild, and he instructed at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and the New School for Social Research in New York. Joining ASCAP in 1961, he authored the play "Glad Tidings" and the novels "Red Sky at Morning" and "Temper the Wind", and composed the stage scores for "The Plough and the Stars" and "Mermaid in Lock No. 7". He won two National Theater Conference fellowships, and wrote for television and industrial shows.
