Barbara Ames was born on 30 April 1922 in Tarrant County, Texas. She was an actress, known for Shadow of the Cloak (1951), I Love a Bandleader (1945) and Hallmark Hall of Fame (1951). She died on 22 February 1989 in Lake Worth, Palm Beach County, Florida, USA.- Robert Platshorn, aka "The Tuna" is a Television Producer and author of the Black Tuna Diaries. He is America's longest imprisoned (30 years) nonviolent marijuana offender. "The Square Grouper" movie inspired by Robert Platshorn's memoir, Black Tuna Diaries, tells his fascinating story. Robert and most of the surviving Black Tunas are featured in this full length feature documentary. Raised on South Street in downtown Philadelphia, acting ambitions earned him a supporting role in a successful off Broadway play while still in high school. The same skill led to Robert becoming one of America's most famous pitchmen. The late Billy Mays called him "A legend in the pitch business". Seen for years on TV, at fairs, and shows selling Vita Mix, frozen food knives,and gadgets. Robert studied communications at University of Miami. He lives in Florida with his wife Lynne.
